The moment Izuku lets himself tip forwards over the edge of the building, the sharp wind rushing his face and curls catching in the force of falling, he knows he’d make a grave mistake.
I don’t want to die...
But he’s already made his decision; you can't come back from this. He stares wide-eyed as the ground gets closer and closer as the seconds tick on, eyes squeezing shut as he waits for impact. He awaits the consequences of his own stupid actions and then—
I don’t want to die.
—and then he opens his eyes and he’s stood peering over the edge of the building he’d just fallen from. Beside him, his shoes are tucked neatly on the ledge, backpack leaned on the ground beside them just as he’d left them. Izuku blinks owlishly, leaning forwards to stare ten stories down. Ten stories down where he’d just been a moment prior, only seconds away from hitting the ground.
He’s... back?
And that’s the first time Midoriya Izuku realizes that he does, in fact, have a Quirk.

[The sun rose, and with it came light, light that cast over the trees and the buildings, that would call upon the early risers to start the day. Chemist wanted to roll over to his side and bury his head under his soft blankets, ignore the morning just for a little while and fall asleep again knowing he wouldn't need to work till next week. But there was a problem, he wasn't in his bed.
Opening his eyes slowly, as to not hurt himself with the bright light that invaded the insides of his current shelter, he found himself inside a beat up car. The celling was dented in ways Chemist didn't know were possible, the seats, in which he currently laid on, were teared and scratched, with so many stains it could form a pattern, the rear view mirror was cracked, and one of the convex mirrors was missing, but at least the driver seat seemed to be working, or at least he hoped it was.]
Or: Izuku is an amnesiac assassin called Chemist sent to kill Overhaul. He did not expect to find a tiny girl being kept as a lab rat while in the job but she's his now.
