You tear your eyes from the myriad of glass tubing crowding the bunks. That was most definitely not the same automated voice that the computer had spoken with earlier. You turn around, and—
Well. You have no fucking idea what you’re looking at.
Your brain rapidly oscillates between fight or flight, fight or flight, before settling on the third option; freeze and scream. Your already dry and strained vocal cords squeeze and shred in protest, so it comes out less like shriek and more like a raspy whine. Get with the program, larynx!
The creature makes some sort of shrill, musical noise back, waving its appendages at you. Which you can only assume is some sort of offensive posture. Holy shit.
“Not worry! Rocky friend! Grace! Pilot friend awake!” The creature trills.
Hail Mary's commanding officer wakes up two months late.

Summary
Paige gets a hand under the cover of the book on top of her pile. It wasn't one of her battle ready books, but anything pulled from the pages would hopefully startle the guy enough she could get away from him if needed. “What are you talking about?” She narrows her eyes. “Is this about… Doorman?”
“Stupid name,” The man scoffs, turning his eyes away, glaring down the alley at a memory Paige isn't privy to. “Stupid name for a stupid creature, lowerin’ himself to you people's standards.”

Paige gets cornered in an alleyway by a man she's never seen before. He seems to know Doorman, and is not too happy about the choices he's been making.
Drifter has heard secondhand about the little rabbit who's captured a fledgling gods attention. He wants to see what the fuss is about... and offer her a few warnings while he's at it.
