    Summary

Aerith didn’t remember her mother. She didn’t know her name or anything about her besides the fact that she had abandoned her as a child. Or, at least, Veld said so. Some nights she would dream of a warm presence and a kind, if tired, smile, but she never lingered on it. She didn’t think of her mother often. Sephiroth didn’t either, after all. It wasn’t like wondering about missing parents ever worked with Shinra employees.

    Summary

Aerith Gainsborough, the world‑famous pop sensation known as The Flower of Midgar, lives her life under blinding lights, relentless cameras, and suffocating expectations. Despite her fame, she feels profoundly alone — until she’s assigned a new bodyguard: Cloud Strife, a stoic ex‑SOLDIER whose quiet loyalty and gentle strength immediately shake her carefully controlled world.

Cloud’s job is simple: protect her.
But Aerith’s warmth, mischief, and vulnerability begin to melt through his walls, and the two form a bond that neither fame nor fear can suppress. Their chemistry sparks rumors, scandals, and a media frenzy — but also a slow, tender love that grows in stolen moments behind the spotlight.

Meanwhile, Zack Fair, Aerith’s best friend and fellow performer, crosses paths with Tifa Lockhart, Cloud’s childhood friend who has returned to Midgar to open her bar. Their connection is instant — playful, supportive, and full of the kind of joy both of them have been missing. As Zack helps Tifa rebuild her dreams, she helps him rediscover the parts of himself fame nearly swallowed.

    Summary

There's a lot of what-ifs out there. Many, many possibilities. Some even speculate about branching timelines because of all the different choices and actions that can be taken.

In this one, Sayaka Maizono didn't try to go through with her plans for murder. For better or for worse, Makoto Naegi helped her keep it together that night, and he didn't even know.

... But derailing the Despair train is not so easy. Even if Sayaka didn't fire the first shot, it was still inevitable to go off. That's just how the Killing Game operated... It was designed to break even the sturdiest of souls, the strongest of minds. The weak would be preyed on.

But just as inevitable as Despair could be... so, too, could Hope.

Loose sequel to "A Soft Heart to Protect" - you don't have to read to understand the gist, but references may come up. New murders, new survivors, possibly even new motives in the future.
