Summary
After very publicly (some would argue theatrically) losing his mind and murdering three young women in an unconscious state, FBI consultant Will Graham is sentenced to serve three consecutive life sentences in the notorious Shawshank State Prison. Upon arrival, he is unsettled to find himself in a cell neighboring that of infamous serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter, who is 12 years into his own life sentences and amuses himself dealing in fine contraband.
When Will approaches Lecter with an unusual request, the two strike up a friendship which, over the years, develops into a powerful infatuation that will change them both irreversibly. But prison is no fairy-tale world, and there are dangers lurking around every corner: the violent captain of the guards, Jack Crawford; the scheming warden, Frederick Chilton; and the brutal gang known as the Sisters, led by the murderer Francis Dolarhyde.
And then there is the secret Will is hiding in his cell. A secret that, sooner or later, will change everything.

Summary
Let me get this straight: I was just an average American military doctor who was fortunately selected by NASA to be a Mars-bound astronaut, for I had a bachelor’s degree in Plant Biology and Conservation and a medical doctorate, plain and simple — no fancy extras.
But my mission partner, called Sherlock Holmes was a British nobleman with three PhD degrees: Physical Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science.
Cue an unusually catastrophic sandstorm and the subsequent devastating explosion, and suddenly we were both stranded on this red rock, which meant I had to put up with the most intelligent yet most intolerable person I had ever met at all times!
I think it could all boil down to Mycroft’s fault!
Oh, did I forget to mention? Mycroft Holmes, the Earl, was Sherlock Holmes’s brother. You know, the guy who always dressed like the British government in human form. He spoke to Sherlock as if he were a judge sending his own brother into exile.
Could you imagine any normal older brother talking like that to his younger brother before a dangerous mission?
His exact valediction?
