Saw - as critical an influence as it may be in the lives of many perverts of a particular caliber, and as foundational an inspiration as it may be for this predicament in particular - rapidly lost the plot as the franchise went on. All the elaborate shit is too much effort for diminishing return. Anyone who has ever been woken by a cat walking across their calves at 2 AM knows: effective torture is maximum force in minimum area. You select the weakest points and apply pressure only there. I don't need to take away your entire face. I've just locked away all the important bits instead.
Besides, you'd never be able to smell this joint through a full hood. And that'd be a shame.
