Summary
Over the course of a year, Jabber Wonger and Zanka Nijiku circle each other through violence, obsession, and the ruined neon streets of the Pit. Told through fragmented snapshots of their lives, motel rooms, rooftop fights, bloodstained alleyways, vending machines at 3AM, and kisses that feel more like injuries, the story follows two deeply unstable people becoming dangerously attached to each other despite every reason not to.

Summary
“What, you gonna call daddy to come beat me up?” Dreads mocks him, sticking out his bottom lip in an exaggerated pout.
Zanka feels the anger bubble up inside him at the comment, hot and cloying as it courses through his veins—and decides he needs to go home, right now, or someone’s getting punched. “Fuck you. I’m leavin’.” Then he turns on his heel to march to the back door of August’s house.
“Yeah, call your limo, pretty boy!”
Okay. That’s enough.
Zanka turns back around, cocks his arm back, and decks the guy in the face.
Or, alternatively: How the meet-ugly of the goddamn century catapults newly broke college student Zanka Nijiku head-fucking-first into the strangest, weirdest, most evilly convoluted situationship of his life.

“Figured it out, have you?” Pantalone’s affected slur is gone. Behind the silver glitter of glass, his eyes are lucid—bright and hungry with promise.
“You!” Dottore rasps. “You drugged me!”
The wine stains Pantalone’s smile a deep red, a sanguine gash over a flash of white teeth. “On the contrary, my dear Doctor. I think you’ll find you drugged yourself. I merely recognized a profitable opportunity when I saw it.”
Dottore doses Pantalone’s wine. Pantalone reminds Dottore that he isn’t one to be underestimated.
