Summary
Ryland wakes almost a year before reaching Tau Ceti to find that only one of his crewmates survived with him, still trapped in an induced coma he doesn’t yet know how to reverse. By the time he figures it out, he’s spent a month talking to someone who’s never heard him. When she finally wakes up, disoriented and unable to move, all she knows is that something is terribly wrong and there is a stranger beside her bed.
