When a 20 year old Bella returns to Forks for a summer, she never expected a fishing trip to result in her near death and the disappearance of her Dad, Charlie. Will her and her Dad's mysterious "animal attack" come up cold or is there something more sinister at play? What if some mysteries are best left unknown? (WIP)
A more mature reimagining of Twilight with an emphasis on character growth and world building. Major slow-burn slow build-up. Ambiguous tags as to not spoil the mystery. A mixture of non-canon and/or somewhat canon compliant story, lore, and relationships. Vampires act more like vampires, so altered vampire lore. Aged-up cast.

Six years after the fall of Voldemort, the Ministry of Magic introduce a new statute in an attempt to counter the falling birthrate. Unmarried witches and wizards are given six months to find a spouse, or one will be chosen for them.
Hermione’s happily settled into her life as a single witch: her work and her friends keep her busy enough. Arthur’s had six years to get used to being on his own, but when they’re matched by the new law, they’re going to have to overcome their differences and their previous relationship and learn to live with (and maybe even love?) each other.
