It probably says a lot about you that your first thought on meeting Deku, international Symbol of Peace, isn't something like "Oh, wow," or, "Oh he's so nice," but is instead the un-Plus Ultra thought of, "I definitely would’ve bullied him, in high school."

Summary

Shouta’s gaze snapped up, just in time to meet the detective’s. They stared at each other for a while, a sickly sort of dread pressing down on their shoulders before Tsukauchi practically leapt for his phone.
“I’ll call the representative—”
“I’m going to the hospital, maybe she’s still there.”
“No, no she’s not, she’s… already in foster care. She- Eraser, they wanted her to disappear, the information’s sensitive, I don’t know where…”
“She can’t just be gone,” snapped Shouta, tugging at his scarf. “That’s an entire child. How do you lose an entire child?”
“I… we don’t even know her name. Or her quirk, we don’t…” Tsukauchi’s mouth pressed into a grim line as he brought the phone up to his ear. “I don’t know. I don’t know. But we’ll find her.”
“We better,” grumbled Shouta. “Otherwise we’ve just set loose the most prolific assassin of our generation into the fucking foster care system.”
Tsukauchi groaned, raking a hand through his hair. “We’ll find her.”
(They didn’t.)
