Summary
Matthew’s fists are wrapped tightly around Gunwook’s jacket. He can feel the other’s gaze on the side of his face, hot and heavy, and forces himself to stare at the in-ear dangling around Matthew’s neck instead of meeting his eyes. He fights the urge to swallow harshly as Matthew suddenly unclenches his fist, releasing Gunwook’s jacket and Gunwook mistakenly thinks that this is all over. He sucks in a breath as Matthew leans in, grabs the chain around his neck, and pulls. Hard.
It takes all his willpower to not stumble back and fall on his butt. Nonetheless, Gunwook is not a god, and he shuffles back instinctively anyway, lifting his chin such that he’s staring at the impossibly high ceiling of the stadium instead of at any part of Matthew.
The tug at his neck persists as Matthew attempts to draw their faces closer together — he can practically feel the older’s breath skimming across his jaw. Oh god. Oh god oh god oh god. Gunwook’s heart is just about to beat out of his chest. It’s laughable that he’d managed to power through five straight hours of non-stop dancing but one brush of Matthew’s fingers around his neck and he feels his legs start to give out.

Summary
In the waiting room before their recording, Matthew sat down with a blanket draped over his shoulders. He liked warmth. He also liked stealing Gunwook’s jacket whenever possible.
Gunwook sat on the couch beside him and began scrolling through his cue sheet. Then, the strangest thing in the entire universe happened.
He didn’t lean on Matthew.
Didn’t touch him. Didn’t rest his knee against Matthew’s. Didn’t tap his thigh. Didn’t do anything.
He just sat upright. Politely. Correctly. Like a stranger.
Matthew kept glancing at him. Then at Gunwook’s shoulder, which was usually pushed against his own right now. Then back at his face. Finally, Matthew leaned toward him—ever so slightly.
Gunwook immediately shifted away.
Matthew froze mid-lean, expression stuck somewhere between offense and disbelief.
Did… did Gunwook just dodge him?
Gunwook discovers self-restraint. Matthew is not sure how to handle that.

Things are different now. The few inches that Maki has on Nicholas allow him to be consumed by Maki's shoulders, his body going limp when Maki presses him against the nearest wall. They kiss as if they need each other to breathe, hands grabbing at clothing and gasps panted into each other's mouths.
