A few tables away, he'd noticed a teal-haired young man stealing glances at him from where the knights sat. Illuga's only ever heard of him before, yet he'd recognized him immediately as Lohen from the 5th Company, if he recalled correctly.
How curious.
Lohen looked at him like he knew Illuga could use a mistake that night.

Lohen flailed weakly in his arms, lacking the energy to truly make any valiant attempt of escape.
“Let me GO!”
Illuga tuts warningly, “No, you’re not avoiding aftercare this time. I finally tired you out enough, you can’t fight anymore.”
The other man squawked indignantly, but knew Illuga was right. All the fight had drained out of his bones, in a pleasant, numbing way. Nowadays, roughhousing with his boyfriend felt a lot more effective than throwing himself into battle over and over if he wanted to feel something. Slowly, he’d have to accept that being loved and cared for afterwards is simply a part of it.

The knight and the bunny took offence to the statement simultaneously.
"Come on, 'Lua. How's he like me?" Lohen frowned.
Illuga blinked. "Do you not see it?"
"See what?"
"I mean--" Illuga gestured vaguely.
"No way." Lohen groaned, "hey, Aedon, you don't think I look like this idiot here too, do you?"
Aedon looked at Lohen, then Lohen the bunny, and then threw himself into Illuga's lamp.Or: after Lohen left Nod Krai, Illuga adopted a bunny to cope with the loneliness. But there's one problem: he accidentally named the bunny Lohen and the bunny would not respond to any other name.
