Summary
Seven years ago, Sasuke left Naruto and Sakura in their home village to go abroad for reasons entirely unknown to them.
Seven years later, Naruto and Sakura are in an admittedly rocky relationship, but studying at a top university and leading peaceful lives - until Sasuke returns out of the blue.

"I never hated you," Sasuke whispered hoarsely. "I could never."
Naruto stood immobile, transfixed by Sasuke's heavy gaze. The alcohol had tinted his face a dusty pink, and a few stray strands of inky hair were clinging to his cheekbones. Only the quick sound of their breathing could be heard in the silence, and Naruto's own heartbeat, thundering in his ears. Sasuke was staring at him so earnestly. Naruto suddenly felt the wild urge to reach a hand up and brush the man's hair out of his face, but resisted.
"Do you mean that?" He asked instead, waiting with baited breath for Sasuke's answer.
Sasuke swallowed, and Naruto couldn't help it - his eyes followed the motion of his Adam's apple, the line of his smooth throat. He wanted to kiss that throat. Or choke it. Or perhaps do both.
His eyes flicked back up as Sasuke gave an almost imperceptible nod.

I only wrote this because the film makes me sob every time so I need to delude myself into thinking that this is what ACTUALLY happened. The movie is the best thing ever tho and should not be changed (love u Takahata)
