Summary
It starts with a glimpse—
A shimmer, a shadow—
Of something, I had once but since lost,
And now I, I've got a feeling that I'm not complete anymore. The world ended so long ago that no one even has a proper account of how it ended anymore. All anyone knows is that at midnight, the Blood Moon rises and shadows come alive.
And that's only the surface of the mysteries the night holds.
Gustave Auclair is trying his best to quell the night's vicious shadows, while dealing with massive gaps in his memory and constant mistrust and reproach from a vast majority of his peers. He holds his head high, clings to the people who do care for him, and tries to get through his days with his life and sanity intact.
Sometimes, he doesn't know how he does it. It's almost like he has a guardian angel protecting him from within those vicious, angry shadows…

Summary
One quiet winter afternoon, a strangely-dressed man with an aureole over his head falls out of the sky.
Or: Verso thought that it would all end after he expelled Maelle from the Canvas and put the Soul Fragment to rest. Fate seems to have other ideas. Finding himself somewhere else entirely, he has to deal with the unbearable chains of life weighing on him once more.

Summary
Gustave dies.
It is a sordid affair, full of sacrifice and pain. There is nothing beautiful about death, Gustave thinks in the fleeting instant before his nerve endings explode all at once in his chest like fireworks. He doesn’t think anymore after that. Screams echo on the granite of the cliff, drowning the furious crashing of the waves below. He doesn’t hear them. He is dead.
(This is not how it ends.)
After his death, Gustave becomes unstuck in time.

Summary
The Pride & Prejudice AU you didn't know you needed // Arranged marriage to love // Slow burn
"Why?" Verso asked, his pale eyes fixed on Gustave's face with unsettling intensity.
"Why sacrifice yourself for her?"
The question caught Gustave off guard. He opened his mouth, closed it again, searching for the right words.
"Because she is my sister," he said simply. "And I would do anything for her."In Belle Époque France, an old promise binds two families. When the promised bride refuses, her brother steps forward instead — binding himself to a man shaped by pride and expectation.
Gustave Virlogeux is practical, dependable, and entirely unremarkable — or so he has always believed. Verso Dessendre is composed, untouchable, and dangerously perceptive.
Their engagement is duty. Their courtship is stolen glances, careful distance, and the maddening warmth of a hand that lingers a moment too long. But what begins as obligation unfolds into a slow reckoning with everything they cannot say — until what was never supposed to be real becomes the only thing that is.

Summary
Gustave let go of a heavy sigh and nodded his head. Back in the Stone Wave Cliffs, he had come to peace that this was where his journey ended—For those who come after, right?—but it seemed like his story wasn't done just yet. Maelle had, somehow, given him another lease on life, and this time, he could live it. He could grow old. He could do things simply for the sake of doing them; every waking moment didn't have to be dedicated to trying to solve the issue with the Paintress, with preserving their civilization.
