At first, Phainon assumed Mydei was a beta due to a lack of scent. The crown prince of Castrum Kremnos moved with an aura of effortless authority—undeniably alpha—and all trembled beneath his piercing gaze. Yet he was nearly scentless. It’s not unusual for alphas to have faint or muted scents, but to be nearly odorless is a different story. Perhaps Mydei is simply a strong beta, or an alpha with godlike restraint over his scent glands.
It doesn't matter; it would be rude to pry. Phainon was never one to care about something as trivial as designations.
Although a deeper, primal part of him gnaws at him to lodge itself deeper and quite literally get under Mydei's skin, to get a hint of something from the other man.
