Summary
Tragic is probably Wemmbu's middle name at this point.
Wemmbu doesn’t know when, why, or how. Hell, he didn’t even want to acknowledge it in the first place, something in him softened just a little bit to allow Flame to slither his way through to Wemmbu’s heart without even knowing, between all of their fighting and bickering and never-ending rivalry. He genuinely trusted Flame enough to even turn his back on him, despite knowing all too well that Flame had never been the type to leave a fight unfinished.
Or,
FlameFrags killed the person he loved most. It should've ended there, leaving the man drowning in his regrets of almosts and what-ifs. Should've left Flame to grapple with the loss and learn how to live yearning all of his immortal life. Instead, he finds Wemmbu again. And Again. And again.
Every time, Flame falls in love.
Every time, Wemmbu dies.
