Meanwhile, Jungwon has worn the same, raggedy scrubs for a week now, hasn’t washed his hair in days, and is sneaking into said ex’s high-rise apartment building to steal back his delivery of three packets of sour cream and onion chips. He knows how this looks on paper.

He isn’t sure if that’s the word he’d assign to the other. Katsuki is like a glowing firecracker: bright, breathtaking, and quick to snap. Although, Izuku considers, he can be cute sometimes. Like every morning, when he tosses Izuku’s bento box into his face. Like when he rolls over into Izuku’s space on the bed and knees him in the stomach. Like how the space between his brows gets wrinkled whenever he gets absorbed into one of Izuku’s “shitty chick flicks,” creasing further in defiance when he’s caught.

Summary
Being friends with your crush and your crush's crush has got to be the universe's top entry for cruel and unusual torture of all time, Jungwon thinks. He's not even the protagonist of this story – he's a plot device to drive the romance. As he stares out moodily across the Mediterranean sunset while the love interests try to shove each other in the water, he thinks, well, at least it'll make for a good story.
Sunoo thinks it's a story, all right, but in that tone of voice he uses to tell off Jungwon for being dramatic.Jungwon slumps face-first on Sunoo's bed, bruised and battered everywhere, just a bit worse than his heart, and thinks, maybe I shouldn't have followed Jay to Italy.
