“I saw something when we were docking,” whispering seemed like a good idea. “I think we should check it out.”
“All right,” Obi-Wan gestured for her to lead the way and followed after her when she turned to head to the front of the ship. It was difficult to navigate the hall without light, but neither of them seemed to want to ignite their lightsabers. The closer they got to the cockpit, the more Ahsoka found herself brushing random objects aside with her foot. There’d been a struggle in here. Judging by the way Obi-Wan seemed to tense beside her, he’d realized it too. She looked up when he brushed past her and watched curiously while he silently surveyed the mess, his blue eyes sharpening when they spotted the blood. Finally, he drew his lightsaber and ignited it, filling the space of the room with brilliant blue light. Ahsoka noticed a trail of droplets leading away from the cockpit and back down the hallway and stepped out of the way when Obi-Wan began to follow it.
“Master?” Now that she could see, she wished she were still in the dark. There were scratches in the surface of the walls and it was clear that someone had been dragged quite violently through the ship. “What happened here?”
