“She’s awake,” Kaveh whispered.
Alhaitham’s expression shifted; the calm detachment he wore like armor melted into something achingly tender. He lowered himself onto the bed beside Kaveh, his palm spreading gently over the small swell, his thumb tracing slow, reverent circles.
"She?” he asked, his voice so quiet it was almost a breath.
Kaveh nodded, his smile soft and bright. “I think so. She kicked when you brought in the tea. Maybe she likes your taste in blends.”
“Then she’s already wiser than most,” Alhaitham murmured, lips quirking faintly.

Sasuke stared into those bright blue eyes that still held entire constellations. His chest ached in the best possible way. This was real. Naruto — loud, bright, unbreakable Naruto — was his. After all the pain they experienced. They had built this life together. Two beautiful children. A home. A future. He loved him so much it almost hurt.
Sasuke’s face burned; he's so tired of all the embarrassment because of this stupid plan. “Okay. The three of you, get the hell out.”
Karin gasped. “Oh my god, you’re blushing—”
“OUT.”
