Chapter Text
He was born with it, and he got used to it
Seeing ghosts and spirits.
He knows them from the shiny auras with different colors that hug their bodies.
It’s either blue, yellow, or white.
He doesn’t know what do these colors refer to, because he never cared to ask.
Not that he hated the gift (he's not even sure if it’s a gift), but those ghosts are just so annoying.
So he preferred not to talk or communicate with them.
But the problem is, they know that he can see them. They always stare at him with that creepy smile as if they're saying ‘I know that you see me’
And some of them, the type that Jin really hates, would stand in front of him just to block his way. They sometimes touch him and mess with him until he snaps and asks them to just leave him alone.
After that, they would simply laugh and walk away, feeling satisfied.
so childish..
But the WORST type, are those ghosts that never shut up.
For example, that young ghost that was following him since he left the goddamn coffee shop.
Jin just wanted to grab a coffee, then go back to his house and study for his exams in peace.
Jin is regretting that coffee now.
What was a ghost doing in a coffee shop anyway?
“I’m Taehyung by the way,” the ghost said for the 3rd time as he was walking next to Jin with careless steps. His body was disappearing inside and between the crowd of people “It’s a cool name, I know” he shrugged “it’s the only thing that I remember from my past life”
Jin cursed him under his breath. He doesn’t give a fuck about the ghost's name or what does he remember.
“Actually I don’t remember it, it wasn’t from my memory. But the older ghosts told me that this was my name. I could’ve chosen another one if I wanted but I thought that Taehyung fits me, what do you think?” he asked Jin, even though he knows the human will not answer him “What is your name by the way?” Taehyung turned his head towards Jin and saw an annoyed frown taking over his face “Oh, cute” he scrunched his nose
Jin had to physically make an effort to stop himself from snapping at him. This annoying young ghost will not stop talking or following him until he admits that he sees him or answer his stupid questions.
But Jin is not the type who gives up easily. So he kept walking and ignoring him.
“I think that you are a boring person” Taehyung said while chewing on his gum that Jin have no idea where did he get it from (mostly from under one of the tables in the coffee shop) “Jungkook hyung told me that last year, he met a girl that could see us too, but when he approached her to say hi” yeah sure, just to say hi, Jin though “the poor girl freaked out and ran away. She was still young I guess” he let out a sigh and tucked his hands inside his pockets “I don’t blame her. Maybe because he is is ugly? You know, I’m way more handsome than him” he said and his face broke into a smile.
Jin rolled his eyes at that
Nice
He got himself an annoying and narcissistic ghost
It can’t get any worse.
“But you know,” Taehyung continued and Jin really wanted to shove a shoe inside his talkative mouth “now, when I think about it, maybe Jungkook hyung was only making up stories? Maybe because he was bored?” Taehyung tilted his head, thinking deeply “He is a big liar actually. He said that he is older than me, but I have a feeling that I am older. I only call him hyung because he is- umm- big? Bigger than me? I don’t know”
Taehyung stopped when he noticed that the ‘human’ did. He raised his head and saw a door in front of them.
They reached a house. It might be Jin’s house, but Taehyung wasn’t sure. He turned his head towards Jin who was still standing, and waited for him to do something.
Maybe he will curse at him then enter the house?
Taehyung really couldn’t wait
But sadly, instead, Jin just pursed his lips and rubbed his face in frustration, and with a fast movement, he entered the pass-code, covering the numbers with his other hand.
“Ahhaaa!” Taehyung let out a victory laugh “So you know that I’m here, huh? told you. Just cut the poor act now old man. Sorry, I want to call you hyung but I’m a ghost, only useless humans will call you hyung” he leaned his back against the wall and crossed his arms “Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone your pass-code, not a single soul. I can’t talk to humans anyway. Also, no offense, but you don’t look like those rich chicks that I see in dramas. So even if I told-“ the sound of the shutted door cut off his words.
Jin was gone
Taehyung let out a groan and threw his head to the back in frustration “You know that I can follow you inside your cheap house if I want to” He yelled from behind the door “But I’m a ghost with manners, so I won’t”
Jin chuckled to himself at the last words while taking off his shoes. Taehyung is one of the most annoying ghosts he has ever met, but at least he respects his personal space… kinda
So yeah, Taehyung is not the most annoying ghost for sure.
Because there was that grandma ghost rhat kept eating in his living room and crying in his kitchen every time he tries to sleep. She is still the worst.
Jin felt a little bad when he remembered her.
She stopped visiting him months ago.
He hoped that she is doing fine, or that she is in a better place now.
Who knows..
