Chapter Text
At some point or another we all find out how screwed up our society really is. People will do anything to get rid of what they can't understand. Unfortunately for me, I was what couldn't be understood. I scared them, because I allowed them to see how I see. The vibrant world full electric colors, no one could see it but me. The electrical currents were my only light at the time. The only thing that kept me alive.
Middle school was when I learned I was differnt, that no one else saw the currents in walls or the currents who run freely through everyone's bodies. One of my friends asked me about how I saw the world, since they didn't believe me. I placed my fingers on the temples of her forehead and allowed the electricity slide. Her eyes opened full of light, a gasp following. I heard my friend's body fall hitting the floor unconscious. The teachers were notified I 'attacked' my fellow students, and I was quickly apprehended. School was never the same, everyone kept their distance, watching me from a far. They talked about me like I killed someone. My friends started to avoid me, I was alone. My home life wasn't much better, my family was never home. My parents always away on business, I was forced to take of my younger siblings. I picked up whatever strange jobs I could find so my siblings could live happily and survive in this cruel world. When I heard about the top hero school I thought wouldn't make it, but my siblings pushed me.
Months of waiting we finally got the letter. We sat on the cold wooden floor in our small living room. My fingers peeled open the envelop, pulling out the letter my sister began to squirm. Her orange eyes glimering at me with hope, concern over powering her smile when tears trickled down my face. I embraced both children laying my head on their shoulders. When I finally got the tears to stop I whispered.
" I did it, I got in. I'm going to UA, and I'm going to make this a better place for you guys. Just you watch"
