I love how much of Sheldon's internal process the author gives us. Making it clear that there's so much going on inside Sheldon that it overwhelms him, and that's why he's usually rigid and unable to give in, makes the character make so much more sense. It's also true to what I know about high-functioning autistic folks, so it feels like a very valid reading of the character. Well done.
