Chapter Text
It happened when he was twelve years old that his family was murdered by a poor mugger in a dark small alley at Busan, at least, he was told like that by his grandfather. To Jimin, his family was his entire life, his diamond, his heaven on earth. To Jimin, to have a little brother is like a never-ending game he plays all day long. And to Jimin, his mother was the best gift that God gave to him. His life was so perfect.
He once accepted that his paradise had just gone in one night after three years rebuilding his broken heart. But it was all shattered again once his grandfather too was murdered by a poor mugger, in the same alley. He wondered, why do they need to be dead at the same place, over and over again?
What did he do until God really mad at him? He took everything from him, the ones he loved the most.
He was so broken that his family was gone. There are no words that can describe how he felt. Jimin never once in his life skipped his prayers to God, every night he asked God to keep his family safe and happy. He promised to drink his own milk and didn’t steal it from Jihyun again.
But God refused to hear his prayer. So after many nights, he stopped. To whatever power in this universe had, he refused to believe.
He was alone. Until Taehyung’s family took Jimin to Seoul. Leaving Busan and inheritance for a while.
He and Taehyung became friends. Close friend. Although he was close to him, the boy was actually so far from Jimin. He didn’t want to get someone involved in his life, it will become a habit. That habit will lead him to care for the others too much and think of them as a family. And in the end, history will repeat itself. He didn’t want that again. If it’s happening again, he will never recover.
But Taehyung was a stubborn boy, he kept trying and trying until Jimin on his arms. Inside his heart felt so warm that day, when Taehyung said, he wanted Jimin to be a part of his life, he wanted Jimin to be his best friend, to be his brother, his family, his soulmate.
But Jimin always wears a mask. Even when he smiles, he hides so many things.
He was living his own hell without any help. Every sadness that he felt, or sorrow, or missing tears, he kept on his chest. He kept until it hurt him so much but he didn’t have a chance to let it out. Until he was introduced to material arts. He learns so much material arts to let out his anger but that’s not enough for him. He learned to forget the ache in his heart by keeping his body beaten. And then he found that Kendo really helped him, so he spent his free time practicing it with his master.
And when he was twenty-one years old, he was brought back by Taehyung’s father to Busan. He wanted to cry but he refused to show how weak he is, so he just stays silent in his stone-cold look.
They met another Kim’s family at his old house. The house looks the same, but without any dust or cobweb. He was wondering, who kept their house clean for such a long time.
He was now sitting in his father’s working room. It brought back so many memories, he remembered that his father banned them from entering this room. And now look where he was standing now.
The man was wearing glasses and a suit. It was his father’s close friend as far as he could recall his memories. He remembers that this Ahjussi always comes to his house. He remembers this Ahjussi too, who has a son one year older than him. Jimin once addressed him as Hyung. But he forgot about it.
What was his name?
Kim Nam Goon? Weird.
Kim Il Joon? Also weird.
He kept trying to remember but failed. He was captivated by his own thoughts until some papers were given in front of him on the table.
But Jimin was just twenty-one fucking years old that he only knew he was a fucking billionaire from what his family got. His eyes almost fell out from his skull as he studied too many numbers in the paper. Too many assets under his name and his parents’ name. He practically can buy all the buildings in Busan if we want. But some of them are already his. Hotels, Clubs, Market, even Dark Market he never knew about before.
There’s one paper that made his eyebrows shrunken, a different paper under an emblem with his surname, Park. He read the same line almost three times before he could understand what it means to be the next successor of the Park Family. The inheritance he never wanted. The reason his family was gone.
“It was in your father’s legacy, if he was in danger, I would take care of his family as well as mine. But believe me, Jimin, I love you like my own child. And your father was my savior you never knew. He was a good man. And his family is my family too.” That’s what Kim Taehyung’s father told him. But Jimin only stays silent. He didn’t know what to say. Even though he has so many questions, he couldn’t spill just one damn word out of his tongue,
They kept talking and talking. Jimin wanted to end this whole damn talk until a wooden box was handed to him. As he opened the box, it was a gun. A mate silver beautiful gun with dark brown wood on the grip. Engraved with his father’s name. it was so beautiful that he couldn’t hold his urge to run his fingertips to his father’s name.
Oh, he missed him so much. He had almost forgotten what his father’s voice was like. Or how sweet his mother sings him a lullaby’s song. How loud Jihyun cries at night because of thunderstorms.
“Jimin-ssi, we’ve found the one who killed your father, your family. Our family.” His hands stopped. He raised his head to the other man. He now remembers his son’s name. Kim Nam Joon.
Did Kim Namjoon miss me?
Did he still remember me?
Now he knew. He knew that his father wasn’t murdered by a poor mugger. His father was executed when he met this trustful business partner. It was a dangerous cartel world that he talked about, so no one was safe. His father was executed when he wanted to help his friend. The friend that now has been tortured in the basement in his house. The traitor.
“Show me the man, Ahjussi.” His blood ran out from his heart to see the old man bow to him. He didn’t know how to react to the elder bowing to the younger.
Did he cross the line that he didn’t avert the elder to do so?
As they went down to the basement, he brought along his father’s gun. The gun was heavy in his hand. He didn’t like the weight on his hand. He didn’t like the way he could feel his father’s whenever he tightened the wooden grip. He hated the feeling he had now, he was scared, angry, lost, sad at the same time. There’s sorrow that sank deep inside his heart. But by the time Taehyung's father pushed the door open for him, all he could feel was the rage of eight years he held in a dam.
Mood: Real One - Smash Into Pieces
The man is tied to the chair. His face was full of dried wounds and bruises. He raised his head and he looked at Jimin. his face turning into a wicked grin.
“Finally!” The man was laughing with a spit full of blood. “The successor of the dirty world. The One and Only Park. Our dog has been hunting you, but your guard dogs are a little ambitious to keep you safe, Park Jimin.”
Once again, Jimin was only twenty-one years old. Why the need to hunt him like a poor calf to the hungry wolf?
He dragged the fallen chair near the man and aligned himself to sit in front of him without expression. He crossed his leg and swung it slowly.
“Wow, they already told you about how rich you are? Hahahaha , you just knew it and now you’re acting like that? Tell me, are you happy that you have your own dogs?” his tied body was rocking on his chair. But Jimin kept his face maintained.
“You know the sad part from this story, Ahjussi?” He began, as he lifted the gun in his right hand, and turned it from side to side, observing it. “That I don’t even know why you’re here. That is the first part. Second,” he pushed out the safety pin and pulled the trigger. The man across from him starts to pale. He pointed the gun at the man’s head. “I don’t like guns.”
“Kids don’t play with grown-up toys. Fight like a man, Jimin, untie me and let your anger go.”
“Consider you’re lucky, Ahjussi.” He pushed back the trigger and locked his gun. “I’m not a man. And I came here not to fight.”
“But I killed your family, your little brother in his sleep, and your old grandpa.” He was grinning at Jimin like a maniac.
“But, they died years ago. I don’t interested in the past, Ahjussi.” He leans his back on the chair, arms crossed. His father’s gun was still in his hand. “Tell me your story, Ahjussi. Start with the opening, ‘once upon a time’ and then you tell your name, your wife’s name, your child’s name. Your master’s name. The one who has a tattoo on his wrist.”
The grin on the man’s face now turned sour. He looked at Jimin’s face with a searching look. He wanted to know whether Jimin was playing or not.
“No? You lost your ability to speak?” He stood up from his chair. He handed the gun to the man with the suit, Kim Namjoon’s father, and turned back to the traitor with a pocket knife in his hand. “You know, I really love sharp things. This is a gift from my Kendo Master. I don’t even have a chance when I will use this, but,” the knife was now flipped open. He sat again on his chair and stabbed the knife on the man’s thigh, two times and it was so fast. The man screamed so loud on his face. He jumped on his chair and wanted to attack Jimin.
But Jimin was the man in charge here. He stabbed the other thigh with a slow but firm stab. It was sinking on the flesh and it was starting to bleed. A lot.
“Your master’s name.” he twisted the knife.
He took almost three years to plan his revenge on the man with a tattoo on his wrist. It was on 13th October that he took over Min’s business down in hell. Such a beautiful birthday present to him, he thinks. To bring someone else down.
It didn’t surprise him that the Min family business was human trafficking and prostitution, including his own blood. He knew that the Head of this Business would never have a heart, always treat humans like animals. Even animals are worthy of life.
He never said he was a Saint, Jimin did all the bad things in order to get himself like this. But never really liked the idea of giving his family to live in hell. As promised, he killed the man with his own knife, stabbed on the top of the old man’s head after another stab in the neck. And that’s how he met Min Yoongi, the young man that now devoted his soul to Jimin because Jimin was his savior, the one who frees him and his mother from the slavery life since then. It was sad and satisfying when he gave the knife to Yoongi, and let him pour out his anger over the dead body. To his own father. The old man hates the Park Family that much. The old man that was once his father’s close friend. The same old man that his father called his family.
When he returned to his home, it was Namjoon who hugged him tightly. Jimin was so broken, he cried until his head spun, his eyes swollen, and his voice was gone. He was so broken that he couldn’t contain any sadness anymore. It was Namjoon who asked him: was he okay, was his revenge paid enough, was Namjoon able to gain his trust to become Jimin’s family, was Namjoon accepted to serve the Park Family and would not repeat the same history.
Jimin just nodded in his arms, that night changed everything. It took one life to change the story.
Jimin was like an open book, he thirst for affection from a family he had once. He always thinks about:
What does it feel like to have friends?
What does it feel like to have someone to return to every day?
What does it feel like to have a bunch of men that give their lives to him?
So that day, when he was turning twenty-four years old, he closed his old book and rewrote his own story.
☘ ☘ ☘ ☘
Now, Jimin wastwenty-five years old. He was wearing his tux, his leather gloves, and his mask. He attended a black market auction for a rare Alexandrite gemstone. Not only one, or two stones, it was full of gemstones in one pouch bag that tied with the leather tie on the neck of the pouch. It cost of fortune to get all of those, but he didn’t give a fuck. The stones flew from the farthest place to Seoul just for the beauty that the others never knew before. He wanted those, but he didn’t like the idea of buying them.
As he pushed out the back door, he and Min Yoongi walked to the dark alley that was wet and humid.
“I saw you bought a bracelet. I think he’ll like that.”
“That’s for my Eomma, Jimin.”
“Hyung, don’t bull shitting me, I know it’s for Taehyung, his birthday literally one month away.”
“Do, uhm , do you think so?”
“I mean, if you give him a stack of bricks, he’ll treasure it like a bar of gold. Come on. You two really need to stop being this gross.”
“I mean, don’t you think he hates me?”
“Are you mental, Hyung? Never mind. I can’t believe I’ve got all the stones. Can you imagine, it cost a billion dollars and what? I’ve got it for free, Hyung!” his soft laugh echoed in the alley.
“Basically you threaded them with your pretty face, Jimin. Even if you're wearing a mask, you're Park Jimin. Your name is like a death sentence for them. It's free or the cost of their lives."
“No, I pay them enough but I admitted th—” his body was hit by a block of wood and he stumbled to Yoongi. The elder wanted to pull out his gun but Jimin held his hand. Instead of being angry, Jimin only winked at Yoongi and turned his body around. The three beggars now blocking their way, he might think this will be an uninteresting story but he liked to play along because he was bored. He always has Yoongi to clean his path, he always has Namjoon to clean the mess he had. But now, he doesn't want that, he wants some mess and he wants it dirty.
The three beggars walked towards them, and Jimin shrieked.
“What, what are you guys doing? It hurt .” He said with a scared voice.
“Well, well. We’ve heard billions of dollars seconds ago, and we want that too.”
“Yeah, we really need to thank that Lady, we’re rich now.”
“N-no, wh-what are you talking ab-about? What Lady?” Jimin asked.
"This is really not suited to you, Jimin." Yoongi deadpan beside him. It made a little pout and he wanted to punch Yoongi so much.
"But, I wanna play." He said with both eyebrows raised.
"But can you not? Just finish them, or just let me handle them. But please don't like that."
"Like, it hurt , like that?"
"Gross."
They completely forgot about the beggars until one of them kicked Jimin's back and he fell to the ground. His tux was completely ruined, he saw red. Yoongi just kept his silence and helped him to stand.
"You know, this is Prada. Fall’s collection and I really love this one."
"You're just a rich kid who spent your parents’ money. Give us those gems you talk about earlier, and we'll set you free."
He laughed. That made Yoongi step back and give the four of them space.
"HEY! Where do you think you're going, Kid?!" One of them yelled at Yoongi, but he just shrugged and leaned on the brick wall.
"Ten minutes, Jimin. I don't like to wait." He said.
The three men seemed like they didn't care about Yoongi and only put their attention on Jimin. One of them started to punch and the other one kicked his side. This might be an unfair fight but for Jimin, this is only a little play to him.
He only received the punches all over his body, and it started to irk Yoongi. The elder wanted to interrupt right before Jimin stood up and slapped hard in the face and punched right at the throat one of the beggars, the skinny one. And then he was dodging the other attack easily, but the other one was strong and big. Twice bigger than him, and then he was kicked to the ground.
He licked the blood on the corner of his lips.
"Three minutes left, Jimin." He heard Yoongi, even in his voice, he could tell that the elder was really annoyed with him.
"Shut up, Hyung."
The beggars started to pin Jimin to the ground, and dug his pocket and inner pocket of his tux, but found nothing.
The beggar on top of him was furious and shouted in front of Jimin's face.
"WHERE IS IT?!"
"Uugh, your breath really stinks!" He said as he hit the man's face with his forehead. He kicked his crotch with his knee, when he wanted to free himself, he saw one man run almost fly near him and started to kick and punch the three men.
"You again?!" Said the new man. "I've told you, to not come to this place again," he punched the beggar's face without mercy, and continued to speak. "not unless you want to fuck your face," he grabbed the beggar's front hair, and punch his face again "like this."
"J…" the beggar couldn't speak well, his face really fucked off, Jimin almost got a goosebump with the view. At least, they've got broken noses and lost their teeth.
"Get the fuck off from here," He hissed to two other men. "Now!"
Jimin just raised his eyebrows, as the man approached him with hurried steps and then squatted beside him. The alley itself wasn't full of light, but he saw the sparks on both doe eyes.
"Hey, are, are you alright?" He asked.
Jimin just eyed him curiously until his head tilted a bit.
"There, oh, there's blood. You, lips, blood." He stammered as he looked all over Jimin's face. And his hands in front of Jimin's face, wanting to touch but too afraid to do so.
"Here, oh wait, I have something, oh no, I don't have it." As he said when he dug into his bag and pouted a little.
Jimin chuckled as he leaned himself with both his elbows and looked up to see Yoongi.
"Can we keep him, Hyung?"
"He's not a pet. Come on, let's go." Yoongi dragged himself away from his hidden place. He put his hands in his slack's pocket, curiously eying Jungkook behind his mask.
The man in front of him made a confused look. Jimin wanted to coo him so much but he only chuckled.
"You're there? All the time? Why won't you help him?" He asked confusedly. He eyed between Yoongi and Jimin.
"None of your business, Kid." Yoongi deadpan. But the man now helping Jimin to stand up and then leveling himself to Yoongi, his eyebrows wrinkled.
"Why won't you help him? You know him right? You're together right? Why?" He demanded that Yoongi answer those questions, but Jimin knew Yoongi wasn't a talkative person except with Taehyung.
"Jimin."
"Alright, enough." He tapped the man's shoulder. "Hello? Sir, hello, look at me."
The doe eyes locked into his eyes, he almost fell for it. The innocent look, pretty face yet masculine. He was sinfully handsome in a whole package.
"Thank you for your help, but I'm fine. We're just playing a bit.”
"Playing? I know those guys. They're bad, they always pickpocketing my Customers, and I have beaten them so much, every fucking day whenever I saw them, but they never learned."
"Customers? Every day?"
"Mmhm, like, they are really addicted to my punch, Fuckers."
Jimin was laughing until his eyes were crescent, and his smile so wide, he bit his lower lips to stop the smile.
"Thank you for helping, tho."
"Jimin," Yoongi warned him. He just blew his breath.
"Okay, this old man is not a patient. He missed his boyfriend."
"What the fuck, alright, I don't want to hear shits right now, let's go." Yoongi grabbed his ruined suit, but he refused to go without telling the man something.
He reached into his inner pocket and handed the black card with gold letters on it. There are only numbers.
"What's your name, my dear?"
"J-Jungkook, Jeon Jungkook."
"Jungkook. Call me whenever you are free, I'm all ears, maybe you wanted to tell your story about the beggars earlier. Or whatever."
Jimin only saw the man-Jeon Jungkook- eyed the black card in his hand when Yoongi dragged him out of the alley to his car. And Jimin wants to see those sparkling doe eyes again, he wants to hear the voice again, and he wants to see the face again but he wants to see it clearly.
Mood: The Kid I Used To Know - Arrested Youth
Three days after that Jimin never received a call. He thought maybe the man was busy with his job
Five days, maybe Jungkook was busy with his school. He never knew it, right?
But two weeks after that, Jimin lost his interest in waiting for Jungkook to call him. So he dropped the idea and continued his life. Shitty life, but interesting.
He was beating one of the men that he believed was the one who gave him trouble these past months. He swung his baseball bat, to hit the poor guy.
"Stealing from me, and you made a mess with Taehyung's private life, and tell me what else you've done?!" He kicked the man in the face.
Jimin was in a bad mood, so everything will end up badly.
"Hyungnim," the man said with blood spurted from his mouth. "I was being forced by this man."
"AND NOW LYING? ON ME?!"
"Hyungnim! He had Sunghwa."
"What?!" His chest ran up and down and he tilted his head angrily with eyes almost falling from his skull.
"Please, it wasn't me stole from you. Or following Master Taehyung in his Hospital. I will never dare! But they have our Sunghwa!" The poor man was now crawling at his feet, begging to spare his life in Jimin's hands.
"Your son, what happened to him?"
"They kidnapped him. My wife escaped but she lost our child. She's now at her mother's place. I've sent her there, but, Sunghwa, Please Hyungnim."
"Name."
"Min…"
Jimin froze in his place for seconds and turned his face to Yoongi who had the same look as Jimin. They were shocked when the name came out of the blue.
They kept staring at each other, he could see the elder shaking a bit and he hid his hands in his jeans' pocket before he approached the poor man.
"Jae, tell me, is it Min Hyerin?" Yoongi's low tone scared Jaein in some particular way, the poor man now shivering.
"And Baek Jaehoon."
"Who the fuck is this Baek Jaehoon?" He spat angrily and threw his bat to the ground.
"Hyungnim, he is the son of Baek Yisung."
Jimin went pale to the name he heard. He never thought he would hear that name again. The name that made his life suffer. The name that made his family gone.
The Traitor.
"Get the fuck up, Jae. We're going to take your son. But we need to speak with you alone." He ran his fingers to his hair nervously as he licked his bottom lip. "Hyung, get Namjoon Hyung, or, Uncle Sanghoon or whoever know those bastards at my office. Get them before ten tonight."
Yoongi just turned his body and disappeared without words. His steps echoed in the basement room and Jimin just stared at how badly he hurt Jaein right in his face. He felt sorry for what happened to him.
"Get up, Jaein." He said. But Jaein was crying on his feet, begging. Jimin's heart sank, he never wanted this kind of situation every time he had to clean up the mess. He was tired of this throne of his own kingdom.
Jimin bent down, grabbed both arms of Jaein and the man lifted up his face. His eye was blue with bruises, his corner lips were full of dried blood. His hair was damped with sweat and his own blood.
He was beaten up so badly, and Jimin really needed to control himself. Jimin wiped the blooded face with his handkerchief.
"Get up, we'll get your son back. And I'm sorry."
"Hyungnim,"
"Sunghwa is like my child too. I always like being hugged by him with his short arms. I want that hug again. I bet you want the same right?"
Jaein nodded and cried in silence as he tried to stand up and walk with the help of others.
"Wonho,"
"Yes, Hyungnim."
"How many men are in this room excluding me, Jaein, and Yoongi?"
"Four, including me."
"Alright. Wonho, do you trust your friend here?"
"They're my team, Hyungnim. I trust them with my life."
"Good. I don't want this conversation going anywhere, Wonho-ya, until we come up with the big plan. Now it's only the four of you who can save my ass. Find out about Yerin's or Jaehoon's dogs near us, I believed it's only one or two. Kill one of them and bring the other to me. Do it fast and carefully, do not disappoint me." He tapped the masculine jaw of Wonho, and the man released the heavy breath and nodded.
Jimin was not a big fan of the center of view, he liked to keep his men watching him from away. They will do whatever Jimin said to them, his men were nothing but loyal to him. He only has Yoongi in his car, or sometimes he has Wonho joining them. To keep him safe. He knew his life cost a fortune in this dirty world. His head was in a bounty, his dead body was in every prayer for every enemy he had. But that is the cost of his life.
As they gathered in his office, Jimin sat on his chair with a glass of whiskey in his hand. He just stayed silent until the wooden door pushed. He saw Kim Namjoon walking behind his father and Yoongi along with Taehyung. Jimin was wondering why his friend was here.
"What are you doing here Tae?" He spat venom at Taehyung who brought his medical treatment in one messenger bag.
"First aid and information you need to know."
"And what is that?"
Taehyung just rolled his eyes and walked to where Jaein sat. Taehyung brought his hands to Jaein's chin as he hissed with the view.
"Did you hit him with the bat, Jimin?"
But Jimin ignored him. And his attention went to Namjoon's father.
"So you came too?"
"Jimin-ssi," the Oldman bowed to him.
"DID YOU HIT HIM WITH THE BAT, JIMIN?"
"Yes, I did!"
"Alright. Why do I need to ask him for twice, Jaein-ssi? I already knew, I just wanted to teased him." Taehyung worked on Jaein's face right at that instant, completely ignoring them, and gave Jaein a bunch of questions about how bad Jimin beat him. The poor man answered Taehyung with stuttering and peeking at Jimin.
"Uncle, do you happen to know this bastard? Baek Jaehoon?"
Jimin just raised his eyebrows and waited.
"He showed up at Cypher three months ago. We didn't have any record about him, but he sent his message by knocking down one of our back door security."
"He came to my club, and I didn't know this shit until today? Why?"
"Because we think that was only a child's game. We didn't even know him."
"By knocking down our man?"
"We think it was the usual game played by a small fish, Jimin. You knew it well."
Jimin just laughed a little but his face turned sour.
"We never play with the thread, you know that so well, Uncle. We have this family until today because we take care of each other."
"Jimin, we didn't think this would happen to Jaein's family. And we…"
"Namjoon hyung, all I can hear is 'we'. Who are we, here?"
"Me, My Father, Yoongi, Taehyung."
Jimin raised his eyebrows again, surprised by the information.
"And who am I here, hyung?" He asked bitterly.
"Jimin,..."
"Who the fuck am I to you, all of you?! Really? Tell me!"
"Jimin," Namjoon tried to step up but his father held his hand. "We didn't know about Baek Jaehoon until today. It surprised all of us too."
"Jimin-ssi, I instructed them to keep silent because whenever things came with Baek Yisung, you'll lose your control, like this."
"How could I not, Uncle Sanghoon?!" Jimin stood up from his chair and walked to face the old man. He now has wrinkles and grey hairs.
"Jimin-ssi, I'm sorry."
"This fight is always for me. I've told you so many times, to keep your fucking eye on our family, your family too. Look at what we have done by keeping it secret?"
"I'm sorry, Jimin-ssi."
"Your apology couldn't bring back Sunghwa now, Uncle. Tell me everything, Jaein."
Jaein flinched when his name was called. Taehyung just gestured for him to stay still in his place.
"That night, after the incident at Cypher, I got this text from an unknown number that said my family has been taken so I need to go to this place. It was Red, a club near Gangnam. Then I met Min Yerin's dog, he gave me a photo. My wife and my son are tied and I swear to God, Hyungnim, I didn't know what to do but obey them. All I needed to do was give them information, where were you, what did you do, and what kind of activity you attended alone. He was asking about Master Yoongi's life but I told him I didn't know Master Yoongi very well, that's when he found out about Master Taehyung's hospital and attacked him one time. But Jiwoo covered for Master Taehyung,..."
"Taehyung got attacked? What kind of attack are we talking about, Tae? Why do I seems so lost."
"You don't have to call me Master, you know Jaein-ssi. I'm a Doctor." Taehyung says as he dabbed the cuts on his temple with an alcohol swab. "It was a warning call from them I guess, I was on my night shift break, Jiwoo's friend got stabbed, and then the random guy tried to stab me too, but Jiwoo was there you know, doing his job.'' He explained and then he threw the last dirty cotton pad to the basket and smiled at Jaein. "You're done. Eat this antibiotic, and you'll be fine.”
"Thank you, Master. No, I mean, Doctor." Taehyung nodded and grinned, satisfied.
"What did Yerin give you in return when you gave her that kind of information?"
"She released my wife, first. But my son, they said whenever they have a date, they will release my son. It's been one week for Sunghwa, Hyungnim..." The man sobbed desperately.
"Do you know when?"
"It's two weeks away from today, Hyungnim. There's a trap that will be made up for you. That's Baek Jaehoon's plan. That's all I knew, Hyungnim."
"Do you think that he just let you know all his plans for free?"
"Hyungnim, I, I will never betray this family. Never."
Jimin just stared at Jaein and was lost in his thoughts.
"There's a party for two weeks away. It's for the kids at the Orphanage. Sunhee's birthday." Jimin pinched his bridge nose and got on his phone. He called someone and talked for ten minutes, and by the end of his call, he sighed again.
"Alright, Wonho, do what I said before to you."
Wonho bowed to them and walked out of the room.
"What did you ask him, Jimin?" Namjoon stepped up to the front and ignored his father's order. "Where did you ask him to go?"
"I asked him to save my ass because you guys think by keeping a secret from me can save my fucking ass, Hyung."
"We're keeping this from you because you'll become like this. Look at yourself now, acting like this matter only came for you."
"Yes, it is! It is not you losing your family, Asshole! Tell me, did your mom hug you when you returned home? Did your father give you advice whenever you were down? Yeah? You! You never knew what it feels like in Jaein's shoes! You never knew what it feels like to lose your own blood! Tell me, what did Taehyung do until Yerin caught his tail? I tell you what, it is because he's part of my family! It costs the life of whoever is near with me. How many fucking times I need to tell you this shit, Hyung?"
"Jimin, I can protect myself eno—"
"Tell me how, Taehyung. Tell me right now so I can change my mind."
"You're just scared the shit hella ou—"
"Yes, I'm scared because they want to hurt you! And by what cost for you to have those things in your life? You know I can't lose anyone again! You know how hard it is for me to become like this! To accept all of you like this? You know all I wanted was dead. So there's no life like this!"
"No, Jimin. No, you're out of control. Please calm down, yeah?" Taehyung approached him, but Jimin was long gone with his rage.
"No! Silent Taehyung. I am really mad, right now." Jimin raised his index finger up, he closed his eyes as the room felt quiet. "I want all of you silent and walk out of this fucking room now, I'll do this on my own."
There's a moment of brief silence until Yoongi came up.
"Jimin, you act like a fool." Yoongi voiced his concern. But Jimin was tired, he really tired of this shit. He just wanted them to keep it quiet, and leave him alone so he can think clearly.
"Out. Now."
"You think you can make it alone?" Yoongi starts. "We always work together, you always say shit like that. But look at the past, I am not allowed to do this and that, nothing, Jimin. You always cover up for me, for all of us. Protecting us like we can't do it by ourselves. Here we're now, playing ourselves to be a hero, pretending that we are a bodyguard for you. And then suddenly you wanted to do this alone? So what are we to you now? A fucking doll?"
"Out, Yoongi Hyung."
"You said that we're family over and over again. Yes, we're sorry for not telling you what we thought was just a small thing, like always. Sooner or later Baek Jaehoon will do things like this, but we never thought not that soon. And now you wanted to get into this mess alone. What kind of bullshit now." Yoongi spat his anger at Jimin.
"Yoongi, you're no longer in this family. All three of you. Out."
"Jimin…" Taehyung brought his hands to the front of his mouth as he fell so speechless.
"Let him do whatever he wants. We're nothing but a doll to him." Yoongi dragged himself away and walked toward Taehyung. Yoongi never felt this angry before, Jimin always can sense the dark void silent from him, the rage that piled up until today. But now, their egos were too high.
Yoongi and Jimin are always on the same page of trust issues; they both lost their home to the man of betrayal.
"Yoongi hyung, don't be like this, please," Yoongi didn't want to hear anything from anyone, and Taehyung was included. As he stood up in front of Namjoon and his father.
"Thank you, for all the time you gave me."
"Hyung, please." Namjoon's eyes are confused. "This must be a bad joke. Jimin, we will fix this together. Let's figure it out together."
"I know you're brilliant, Namjoon. Uncle Sanghoon, please ask them to go. I'll talk to you later."
The mahogany door was slammed with the heavy echo in the room. He was now alone, laying on the couch, and the entire room felt so quiet to deaf like he wanted earlier. But his heart felt thousands of times being stabbed with a knife, so he cried. He pressed his palms into his eyes to stop the tears, he smacked his chest to ease the pains, he wanted to die so damn much, and everyone could live their life without trouble.
Jimin just stays on the couch, thinking about what happened earlier as he's now calm down. All the pain was in dull jabs in his chest now, he realized that that between him and Yoongi was never this bad. He was asking his stupid brain cells, why he said such a terrible word to Yoongi, why this, why that. Why was he yelling at Taehyung, and why was he mad with Namjoon too. Why?
As his thoughts wander around, a buzz in his pocket brings him back. It was an unknown number displayed on his screen.
He tapped the green button, and on the other side of his phone, he heard someone hesitate to speak.
He blew a sigh before he spoke.
"Hello, this is Jungkook."
Jimin heard his honey voice and he closed his eyes. That man finally called him.
"Hello? Helloo. Alright, I'm sorry maybe this is another wrong number, I'm sorry…"
"You call me." He said before the man hung up.
"This is you?"
"It depends, who are you referring to?"
"Uuh, the man who beaten up his ass at the dark alley with three fuckers?"
Jimin chuckled a little softly and brought his arm to his forehead, eyes still closed.
"Well, that's definitely me."
"Really?! This is you? Wait, hold up." Jungkook asked excitedly and yelled, "Hyuuuung, I've got him! Alright go away, go, yes, later Hyung, what the fuck is wrong with you."
Jimin couldn't hold his little giggles by hearing Jungkook bickering with someone else while he was on the phone with Jimin. He likes this boy so much, he thinks.
"Sorry, that's my friend. Well, I guess I found you."
"I gave you my card, Jungkook."
"Yes, I know, I know. But before that, can I know your name?"
"I didn't give you my name?" Jimin pretended to be surprised because that's his habit. He never introduced himself because he never met someone outside his world. He didn't care about them at all, until Jungkook.
"I heard your name before from the other man, your friend. And, no, you didn't give me your name."
"It's Jimin." The man on the other side was silent. Jimin was wondering, did Jungkook know him? Was Jungkook part of his world too?
"Saved."
"What?"
"I saved your number right now, on a piece of paper and I put it on the fridge. So I can save it later on my phone."
Jimin laughed freely, he didn't even remember the last time laugh like this.
"Really, if I told you, that I lost your card, and only remember six numbers, and missing the last numbers, and try the shit all possible numbers and call them every day, will you believe me?"
"What?" Jimin still laughed.
"I lost your card, Jimin-ssi. Not kind lost lost , I washed my jeans, and your card was on my pocket's jeans, so yes, I’ve been called all over South Korea and tell them 'Hello, I'm Jungkook' like creepy fucking asshole, or credit card marketing."
Jimin laughed again, he was now holding his tummy because it hurt from how hard he was laughing.
"Yes, you can laugh at me Jimin-ssi."
"That's the stupid you."
"I know, I know, but, it's okay now, half of South Korea is safe from me."
Both of them laughed and then they stopped. Jimin bit his lower lip.
"Hey.."
"Hey…"
"Thank you for calling."
"It's been two weeks long, you know."
"I know, you've been calling someone else."
"But they're not you."
Jimin cracked his eyes open.
"Yeah?"
"Mhm. Am I disturbing you? Now it's almost midnight."
"No, I'm just laying on the couch in my working room"
"You worked so late?"
"I guess."
"You want to sleep? I can call you tomorrow. Before you go to the office, maybe? Or after you work. Or whenever suits you?"
"No, no. Let's talk more, please."
"Alright. Are you interested to hear one of the stories about trying to call your number?"
That night they talked until they fell asleep. Jimin didn't remember who first hung up the phone, all he remembered was the pain in his chest slowly in ease.
☘ ☘ ☘ ☘
As promised, he talked with Kim Namjoon's father. He apologized to him and told him how sorry he was. The elder was just fine with that, and instead, he offered Jimin to get Sunghwa back to his family.
But Jimin refused. He didn't want anything to happen to them and told the elder that he had captured one of Yerin's men.
Thanks to Wonho.
He told the elder that that plan worked, and asked to not give any information to Namjoon, Yoongi, and Taehyung. Especially to Taehyung for now. He asked the elder too much, but Namjoon's father always obeyed Jimin like Jimin never took a wrong step before.
Yerin's man was now hanging upside down in his warehouse near the salt factory. His nose twitched as he entered the door. He never liked this place, everything will end badly here.
Jimin took off his bomber jacket and gave it to the man beside him. He rolled his sleeve up to his elbows and stood up in front of the upside-down man.
"This is really old school, you know. But I like how red your face right now is, full of blood." He began.
The man was hung like a pig ready to slice. His cheap suit was torn and full of his dry blood up to his hair, not forgetting to mention how bad his face was right now.
The man groaned, when Jimin sat on a chair, his leg crossed.
"Tell me where's Sunghwa. The boy you guys kept."
"I, ah, I don't know."
"Wonho-ya," Jimin raised his forearm, palm's up. Wonho gave him a baseball bat. He gripped the base of the bat and pointed the end to the man's nose.
"I asked you, where's Sunghwa. There're two options for you now, dead in my hand, or Yerin's hand along with your wife, children, boyfriend, or girlfriend. All the ones you loved."
"I really, r-really, don't know, Yerin-ssi never gave us that, that information."
Jimin hit the man's nose with the tip of his bat hardly until it bled. He was agape as blood kept coming out from his nose and he lost his ability to breathe.
"I need a place."
"P-phwese, duh kilh meh, i telh youh" (Please don't kill me, i'll tell you.)
"Named the place."
"I'll takh youh theh." (I'll take you there.)
"No, you'll die here."
"Ih hevh a sonh, pwes." (I have a son.)
Jimin stared at the man, and he knew this man was lying to him.
"No you don't have a son. Wonho-ya, finish him now and do it slowly, so he can feel the pain."
"Waih waih, therh ah empth wahous, three milehs away, uh, 109." (Wait wait! There's an empty warehouse three miles away, #109.)
"How many men are there?"
"Uh, sebenh."
Without words, Jimin stabbed his knife into the man’s head. His eyes almost popped out from his skull, and his blood spurted like a fountain when Jimin pulled out his knife.
"Still sharp. Hmm… Now you can die without pain." He said. "Clean this mess. And Wonho, tell our men, we'll go to that warehouse and take Sunghwa home. Now."
"Yes, Hyungnim."
As he walked out, his phone buzzed again. He was in a bad mood so he wanted to decline the call. Until he saw the numbers. It was an unsaved number but he knew the caller.
His steps halted and froze.
Why did Jungkook call him in the daylight today?
Did Jungkook know him?
He answered the call nevertheless.
"Hello."
"Jimin-ssi."
Jimin likes the heavy tone he hears now, calling his name.
"Yes?"
"Have you had your lunch, already? Because I'mhungrydoyouwanttohavealunchnow?"
Jimin's eyebrows were shrunken.
"Huh?"
"Come on, why do you need me to repeat myself. I don't have that courage now."
"Are you asking me to have lunch with you?"
"Yes, I'm sorry I don't have the capability to speak like you because I'm a weirdo but I'd like to try. Alright, do you have time to have some lunch, right now? You must've been on your lunch break."
"I, um, I don't have a lunch break. I mean, I never take lunch, usually. I always work. Yes, I'm working now."
"What? Which Company are you working for, Jimin-ssi, that's so cruel."
"Life is hard, Jungkook."
"Come, let me buy your lunch, a simple meal."
"You're working now?"
"Can I bluff? I am a Gamer, so I just play games all day long until big tournaments come. Boring, I know, but I'm working as a Singer at a Bar in the evening."
"You can sing?"
"You don't believe me, do you?"
"In fact, I'd like to hear you sing."
"Tonight at my friend's Bar. Not a famous one but it's a stable business for him."
"Place and time?"
"Persona, nine o'clock, tonight. Is it too late for you? You must've been tired from work."
"No, it's fine. It's Thursday night, weekend vibes."
"Weekend vibes. Okay, I'll go, I'll let you work, but don't forget to take lunch, Jimin-ssi."
"You too."
"Tonight."
"Yes,"
"Nine o'clock."
"Won't be late."
"Then it's a date. WHAT?! No I mean, it's date and time, yes, okay, i'm hung up. See you soon."
Jimin just chuckled at the end of his phone. He saw Wonho raise his eyebrows and crossed arms as he leaned his body on the side of the car.
"Don't say a word," Jimin said.
"What?"
"I know what you're thinking."
"I don't know what you are talking about, Hyungnim." He said as he opened the passenger door for Jimin.
The car ride was in a good silence, Jimin spent his entire time searching for Jeon Jungkook in Naver. He found that Jungkook was famous in South Korea, in fact, he was one of the best gamers who flew to Los Angeles for the world championship. He also looked at him on Instagram. Instead of ads or promotions like influencers always do, his feed is only full of panoramic pictures, some of his friends, and videos of him doing boxing.
He was wondering what else this guy can do.
The car stopped, and his face turned sour as he saw the old abandoned warehouse. His heart fell to his feet, wondering if Sunghwa was doing just fine. Jaein also comes along, he looked so nervous when Jimin led the way and walked past him.
As per said, there are seven men there. They were in the middle of playing a card game when Jimin pushed the door. Welcoming himself with the knock on the door.
And just like that, his men ran past him, and all of them fought each other. And he started looking for Jaein's son in every room. The boy was laying in a big dog cage, with a thin blanket, sleeping. Jimin wanted to kill everyone in this place to leave such a pure living soul like that.
He opened the cage, and the boy flinched.
"Uncle Jiminie….."
"Yes, my baby, it's me. Come here baby, let's go home."
The boy was crying so hard, his body was shaking so much in Jimin's arms. He kept crying and calling his mother and father.
"Jae! Take him to the car, and go. Now."
"Hyungnim, but we…" Jaein was shocked by a loud gunshot.
"NOW!"
Everyone froze by the sound and stopped. Jimin saw that people on the ground were not his, his men were fine, and yes, they can win this game today. He threw up his hands up to his head.
"I'm here."
"DON'T MOVE OR I'LL SHOOT YOU!" His hand was shaking as he pointed the gun at Jimin. Everyone's steps halted, wanting to cover Jimin.
"I'm not going anywhere." Jimin mocked. "You're in charge now, little boy."
"YERIN WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND KILL YOU LIKE YOU KILL HER FATHER."
"Okay," Jimin chuckled. "It was a good time, but I remembered you were not there. You're just a little baby."
"Yes, I want you to tell her too, it was a good time too when I killed my father."
Yoongi stood behind the boy, with a pointed gun on his head. And before the boy turned his body to Yoongi, Yoongi shot his head. His blood was on the side of Yoongi's face, and on his left arm's leather jacket too. He frowned a bit.
"But I guess, you can't. Alright."
"Yoongi hyung?"
"Next time, bring your gun, a knife is good. Guns are more practical." He said flatly like he always does to Jimin.
"Hyung. How, how did you know we were here?"
"Wonho."
"What?"
"He called me and told me that he only has two hands, but he needs to protect you and his ass at the same time, and too afraid that his men were not as good as i am. He doesn't have the capability to replace me."
"Heeey! That's not what I've said!"
Yoongi just rolled his eyes, but the elder was surprised by a hug that Jimin gave him.
"Alright, okay, off. This is not a good time for a hug." He wanted to free himself, but Jimin just hugged him tightly.
"Thank you and I'm sorry."
"Mmmh, me too. Are we good?"
"I'm so sorry, Hyung. Sorry."
"Jimin-ah, let's go home."
"Home?"
"Yes. You need to talk with Taehyung too."
"Yes, but I have a date tonight." He said almost like a whisper.
"You have a date? With?"
"The boy from the dark alley." He said as he rested his chin on Yoongi's shoulder, still refusing to let him go.
"That muscled kangaroo?"
"He can do boxing too." Jimin released Yoongi from his hug and stared at Yoongi.
"Did he…"
"No, he doesn't know me. He, uhm, he's just a normal kid with curious eyes, Hyung."
Yoongi blinked at him, and nodded.
"Okay, okay. Just be careful, Jimin. I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about him." Yoongi pointed his index finger, a little trembling. "I want to tell you to bring one of this fuckers, but seems like you'll have a long night."
Wonho and the others men whistled and Jimin swore he heard smooches and giggles.
"Wonho-ya, did you bring my clothes in the car?"
"Why must I bring your clothes in Hyungnim's car?"
Yoongi stared boredly at Wonho and pressed his lips thin.
"Yes, yes, in the car."
"Good, please bring Layla home."
"Why do I need to be the only one who brings your motorcycle home, Yoongi-ssi?"
They went home before sunset and left the seven dead bodies there, enough to give Min Yerin a warning.
Jimin made a phone call for almost the entire car ride. Yoongi was behind the wheel like he always does. But now he is wearing a clean black shirt with the hems rolled up to his forearm.
One of the phone calls he made was for orphanage house.
"Sunhee-yaaa, umm, have you eaten yet? No, I'm with Uncle Yoongi, yes yes, he's driving. What? You want me to put on a speaker? Wait, baby. Alright, we're on speaker."
"Uncle Yoonjiiii, can you turn the car and come here? Jiminie Appa said no no Seoul.. I know he's lying, bad lying to Sunhee."
"Yaa you little demon, where did you learn that? Me and your Appa are not in Seoul now. We're heading to Seoul. Why?"
"It's forty-seven hours and twenty-four minutes I haven't seen him." Jimin chuckled at how cute Sunhee's baby voice was to convince Yoongi.
"What about me? I know you only care about him."
"Yoonji is the best uncle! BUT, Sunhee needs Appa, this movie is scawy, BUT, Sunhee wants to watch it."
“What the title, I know movies too, you know…”
“Bwaive.”
“What?”
"It’s Brave, Hyung. Alright, baby, we'll come to see you on Sunday, Uncle Yoongi will come with Uncle Taetae too."
"Uncle Taetae? Yaaaaay, okay okay Appa. Sunhee love love you, Uncle Unji too."
Yoongi just stared at him from the rear mirror with one eyebrow raised.
"Yes baby, Appa, love you too."
They stayed silent for a solid ten minutes until Yoongi blew his heavy sigh.
"I thought we'll go there on her birthday?"
"You've heard Jaein before hyung. I can't let them know about her place, the Orphanage. It is too risky."
"After today, they will watch us like an eagle. We're big, but their desire to bring us down is even bigger."
"You're right. We can't move in our usual cars, or usual hours. We need to change our schedules, and if we need to come to Cypher, come without notice. I'm hundred percent sure they will put an eye at Cypher too."
"What about Sunday?"
"I'll use my bike, you too. You bring your car to Tae's house. And go out from the back garage. We'll go separately."
"Seems like a good plan."
"Let's talk about this again with Namjoon. Call him to come at four, and we'll go to Busan again in a month. I don't like that our Market is being touched by newcomers. Who's the man selling drugs freely in our area?"
"It's Shinhwa, he thinks if we don't sell anything in our Market like drugs and human trafficking we'll die from a bad reputation."
"I thought we already gave him a warning? Wonho told me, he settled those things, right?"
"Yes, but something is off. Seems like Shinhwa has that gap. He took the opportunity to ruin everything we build very well, we're just lucky knowing this now. We almost clean by covering it using Hotels and Clubs only."
" Tch , I don't like the old style. I don't like drugs and selling whore, freely . It's gonna be a long weekend for Namjoon. Oh, can you call Siyoung Noona? Tell her to make Sunhee's birthday cake with a unicorn theme. And she needs to prepare thirty four goody bags with unicorns too."
"Yes, Hyungnim." Yoongi deadpan.
"Do you want to kiss my feet too?" Jimin asked with a teasing voice.
"Fuck you."
"Not a chance, hyung. Get your dick somewhere else."
Yoongi snorted while Jimin laughed at him.
☘ ☘ ☘ ☘
Jimin never went for a date. For his twenty-nine years old, he only went to parties, beating some fuckers, killing his enemies, and movie dates with Taehyung.
He never goes to the common bar, or clubs in Seoul with normal people, like Jungkook. He didn't know what to wear on Thursday night to watch a music performance in a bar.
He spent three hours picking up his outfit, standing in front of the mirror, and throwing it into his bed, but none of them fit enough.
He felt so lost, so he called Taehyung.
"Jimin?"
"Hi Tae, I need your help."
"What is it? I heard you go to get Sunghwa, what happened? Are you hurt? Where are you? Is Yoongi okay? I'll come right now, it's only seven. I'll go to you, don't worry."
"Tae, no, Tae, wait, wait wait… I'm fine, we've got Sunghwa, everybody alive, Yoongi is fine too. You don't need to come."
"Jimin, I swear to god if you're lying…"
"No, Tae. I need to know what kind of outfit you'll wear if you're going to bars after your working hour?"
"Jimin."
"Tae, I've spent three hours picking out the right clothes, but they're too much. And I need to go there before nine."
"The last thing I've heard from your mouth was throwing me like a shit, Jimin. And now you're calling me to give an advice about your outfit for a bar? Are you joking?"
"I'm sorry Tae. For everything. Alright, you're right. This is not a good time to speak by phone call." Jimin threw himself into his bed, he closed his eyes and sighed. "I'll come to you now. Where are you?"
"Are you really joking with me? You asked about outfits to bars and now you want to meet me while I'm still at the hospital?"
"Your working hours are until six, Tae, I know you're playing a game at your home now."
"Alright. So this is about a good dick or what? Just put on your bad boy outfit, or suit something you've always pulled out."
"This one is different, Tae."
"Like what?"
"Like, he asked if I already took my lunch, so I said no, because I just stabbed someone and sent him to God, and I couldn't tell him that, right? So he asked again what kind of company I work for? Why don't they give me a lunch break, and that's really cruel to not allow employees to eat at lunch break. And he asked if he could have lunch with me.”
"I like this boy. He had some nerves to ask you out."
"Right? So, I asked what kind of work he does. And you know, he's a pro gamer. The game you've played."
"Holy shit, League of Legends?!"
"Maybe."
"You didn't ask? Stupid. What's his name?"
"Why do you need his name?"
"If he is part of pro gamer shit things like that, I need to know who. I don't like the idea of you going to the bar with someone I don't like. Some of them had this bad reputation, Jiminie."
"You think I'm a good person?" He asked bitterly but still chuckled.
"You're a good person, Jiminie. Now, name."
"Jeon Jungkook."
"WHAT?! COME AGAIN?"
"Did you know him?"
"DID I KNOW HIM? OF COURSE, I KNOW HIM YOU LITTLE SHIT!"
"Why are you yelling at me?"
"Because why did I just know it, now?!"
"He called me. Seriously Tae, I need to go like in 20 minutes, please."
"Alright, wear your jeans that show your perfect ass, jeans okay no leather pants. Put on your jacket, a bomber is fine, the leather jacket also fine, since i know you’ll ride your bike. Wear your Gucci t-shirt, or plain black t-shirt, and wear your earring only on one side, remember you're not going to the club, so it's not too much. And boots just to make you a little tall. Oh, oh, wear rings too. He likes to play with the ring on his index finger. Maybe he'll see your short little cute fingers with rings."
"You know, I killed people, I don't mind adding another one."
"Seriously, you'll get that dick tonight. Be yourself, Jiminie."
"What if he asks about my job?"
"Tell him that you have a family business. That's the truth."
"And what if he asks me about my usual activities or shits like that."
"Trust me, he will not. Maybe he'll ask you about your education, or your favorite color. Don't overthink it, it's just a night in a bar."
"Thank you, Tae."
"You owe me an apology and this story. Movie date. I want to meet you later too before our movie date."
He pulled out his jeans, t-shirt, and his jacket. He put one long earring that dangled to the side of his neck, and his thin rings to his index and middle finger. He took his final look at the mirror, and he blew his breath, to calm himself.
Mood: Bad Habits - Rain Paris (Covered)
Jimin looked so ordinary, so plain. His face was bare, so he put on some moisturizer and some lip balm to bring some freshness. His eyes looked tired and excited at the same time. He combed his black hair with his fingers and put a rubber tie on his wrist, just in case he needed that.
Tonight, he'll have his first date, like Jungkook had mistaken words on their phone call earlier. He, too, wanted to assume this is a date. But he didn't want high hopes.
It took twenty-five minutes to arrive at the bar, and he directly parked his bike in the parking spaces. When he pushed the door, he was welcomed by a ring on the top of his head and a melodious voice from the stage.
The voice he heard over his phone call now fills up the entire living space in this room. Jimin can see all the men and women swinging their bodies, chuckling, singing along, and laughing. He never had had this in his life before.
He went to the bar table, ordered his whiskey, and gladly waited for Jungkook to end his performance.
On his third song, Jimin turned his body to see who tapped his shoulder. It was by the beautiful man behind the bar. His eyes were big, and his lips so plump.
"I've never seen you before. How about the drink and this place?"
"I had my whiskey, and it's good. And this place feels so cozy for someone who had a tiring day at work."
"I know right. I love this place too. I'm Seokjin. I see you've got your eyes somewhere else your whiskey has melted with ice."
"Ah? Yes… Sorry."
Seokjin chuckled and grabbed his glass.
"Let me change with the new one."
" No, no, let me drink that, it's such a waste. And give me another one, malt."
"The man who can tolerate drinks. I like you. The next one in the house."
"Now I like you more, Seokjin."
"Here you go…."
"Jimin,"
"Alright, Jimin. Oh! Jimin? You are Jimin?!" Seokjin laughed and slammed his hand to the table. "So you're the Jimin we've been hearing over these entire weeks."
Jimin raised his eyebrows confusedly.
"Look, so you already know Jungkook right? But that boy never knew your face before. He was saying that you were wearing a mask, and he just enchanted and forgot to ask your name. And then he washed your name card. And he insisted on calling you even though he was missing the last numbers. He's been calling all of Seoul, and telling them his name first. Until one guy terroring him and insists that he was you, and sends him nudes."
"The old fatty pervert uncle, if i'm not mistaken."
"He told you? He wanted to unseen those pictures, but he can't erase them from his head."
Jimin chuckled along with Seokjin. They kept talking until Jimin didn't realize that someone sat beside him and threw himself over the table.
"Hyung, pay me with the water and affections, please." He said.
"And why is that?"
"Because he's not coming."
"Jungkook…" Seokjin just gave him a glass of water and eyed Jimin.
"What? I thought he would come before I went up on the stage, I was so nervous for nothing."
"I was coming late, but I heard you from the second song until the end, Jungkook. They were nice and good songs, thanks to you." Jimin raised his glass and tossed it with Jungkook's until it dinged and he sipped his whiskey.
Jungkook froze in his chair, which made Seokjin laugh before leaving them alone.
"It's nice to meet you, Jeon Jungkook."
The boy now looked at him, he was scanning Jimin's face with searching eyes. His Bambi eyes sparkling, and Jimin can see the little mole below his bottom lip.
"It is you." He finally said that made Jimin chuckle. "You came."
"Of course. You said this is a date."
"No! Not a date! I mean yes, no, but not date date ."
"So this is not a date? Maybe it's just me assuming this is a date." Jimin teased.
"Do you?" His doe eyes are getting bigger, and Jimin wanted to coo the boy in front of him.
"Do you want to be my date for tonight?" Jimin asked confidently, his eyes never left the boy.
But Jungkook only gulped all his entire water glass to the bottom like he was drinking soju or a beer that made Jimin laugh. They spent fifteen minutes bickering over this and that before they got themselves comfortable enough.
"So you can tolerate alcohol?"
"Kind of, but I'm bringing my bike, so two glasses are enough for tonight, I might get some soda or beer, or water."
"How's your day?"
"It was good. You? Tell me about this pro gamer."
Jungkook rubbed his own neck, a little bit shy.
"I was kind of trapped there. At first, I just played a game, played with my friend all day long until I met this one guy online. He challenged me to play and I was invited to their group. Didn't know they were a bunch of dorks championship winners."
"So you won the game?"
"No, I was humiliated because I talked too much about this and that. But, losing is never an option to me, so I asked him again next week. And won, and now I’m their slave to win the world championship."
Jimin chuckled and Jungkook turned his body to face him.
"How did you end up in the dark alley last time?"
"Well, I told you, we're just playing around."
"You promised to tell me the story."
"Hmm, me and Yoongi Hyung went to the…. party, and we've been talking about this and that especially about the main topic of the party, and they heard about the billion dollars of gemstones I've been talking about."
"They think you have that at the moment?"
"We had that, in fact, it was in Yoongi's pocket but I'd like to play games, so yes, they took the bet on me."
"That's a really risky game, Jimin-ssi."
"But you were there, you know, you just jumped out of nowhere and punched them like a maniac." Jimin laughed until his eyes turned crescent. "So you can fight, or you're a fucking debt collector before you play games?"
"I took boxing class because I'm bored doing games all day. But I couldn't stop because I needed to do something other than playing games all day long, you know…, sometimes I feel like I just wanna quit. The game."
"You do? Why?"
"Because gaming is not my plan. I really love photography, video making, shits like that, but my parents told me it was wasting my time, it can't make me into a better person in the future. No money, no job, no stable life, so on, so on, so on. So, I dropped my study in business class and played games all day. You've heard the rest of it, so here I am. But, sorry to not be sorry, I came back to the university, and took my photography classes, and graduated. Just to piss my parents off."
"You little demon, don't you?" Jimin sipped his beer. He rested his cheek on his palm. He sees the boy in front of him little by little getting near to him.
"I'm a good boy to my parents, but they really like to test my nerves, Jimin-ssi. Sometimes I feel that I'm not their son. You know that feeling."
"No, I don't know that, Jungkook. But, how about you take your drink, and drop this formality and call me Hyung instead of, Jimin-ssi , hm?"
"Only if I pay for your drinks tonight?"
"So you're kind of wasting money on a first date?"
"I can be your sugar daddy if you want, hyung." Jungkook winked at Jimin and took his soft drink. But Jimin laughed so hard until his cheeks hurt.
Jimin was so relieved that Jungkook never asked him about his private life. He only asked if Jimin really does not have a lunch break, and Jimin laughed again. They kept talking about this and that until Jungkook's hands suddenly rested on Jimin's knee as they kept talking.
He didn't know who's the one who kept getting closer but their bodies just pulled each other like a magnet. Now Jimin can see clearly, the scar on the side of Jungkook's cheek, he didn't realize that his thumb swiped the boy's cheek.
"What happened?"
"Fell over from flying a kite with my brother after I pushed him until he fell to the ground, vice versa." He said, almost like whispering as his eyes couldn't get away from Jimin's bottom lip.
"I thought you're a good boy?"
But Jungkook never replied to him, he just kept getting closer to Jimin, and it made his heart pound so fast. He quickly pushed his chair back and stood up and it made Jungkook's eyebrows shrunken and he looked Jimin into his eyes.
The boy didn't understand why Jimin refused him.
"It's late Jungkook, I'll use the restroom before I go."
He dragged himself away and pushed the restroom door quickly. Jimin stood up in front of the mirror, he saw how red his face was because of the alcohol and getting shy. He cursed himself and started to tie his hair and then wash his face to calm the heat on his face.
"Stupid." He cursed.
Jimin never felt like this. The things that made his body do some stupid thing like his heart beats so fast, his body feels so hot, and he thinks he wanted to kiss Jungkook so badly at that moment and do stupid things to Jungkook, one of them was to ruin the boy until his face flustered red. But he didn't want those things to happen because of alcohol.
He wiped his face with a tissue and before he threw it away, the door swung open and Jimin was startled when Jungkook came to him with a pissed-off face.
"Tell me you don't want this, Jimin-ssi."
"What do you mean by this ?"
"The whole conversation, the way you looked at me, the way you were interested to hear my whole damned stories." He stepped forward to Jimin, but the elder got his step backward until he was on the wall, trapped.
"The stories are worth a hearing, Jungkook."
"You know why I don't have friends, Jimin-ssi? Let me tell you about it, ding-ding-ding , yes correct, because I'm too self-centered and they get bored only to hear from me. But there you are, hear me like I was not a broken radio. And have those conversations with me."
Jimin leaned his head on the wall, his chin up to see Jungkook clearly.
"And what do you want now?"
"What you've refused before, and if you don't like it, I will walk away from that door and disappear from your life like we never happened before. You, me, the whole damned thing."
"Then come here and take whatever I refused before,"
Jungkook didn't waste his time and he kissed Jimin's bottom lip softly. Jimin could feel the softness of Jungkook's lips on his, and it made Jimin want to have some more, so he kissed Jungkook back and tilted his head a bit.
The way Jungkook kissed Jimin with a deep kiss was very addictive and enchanted. Their kisses turned a little demanding and a little bit urgent, the sounds of their lips were all over the small room and they didn't care at all.
Jungkook put his leg between Jimin's legs and pressed his thigh to Jimin's front, which made him moan a little. His hand wandered from the small waist to Jungkook's ass. Jimin could tell that something pressed on his crotch was Jungkook's half hard cock, as the boy kept pushing Jimin to the wall with both his hands on the side of Jimin’s body.
"Jungkook, my phone is buzz, ah , buzzing."
"Ignore it." He said as he kept kissing Jimin's jaw and neck.
"I think I need to take this." As Jimin tried to free himself, Jungkook captured his lips again, demanding some more kisses. But the phone kept buzzing until Jungkook stopped and groaned. He rested his forehead on Jimin's shoulder and refused to leave Jimin.
But all Jimin could see was Taehyung's name on his display screen, Taehyung already knew that Jimin would be with Jungkook tonight, he was wondering why this asshole wanted to disturb him at such a bad time.
He pressed the green button.
"Taehyung?" His voice was a little annoyed.
"Jiminie."
But all Jimin could hear was Sunhee's crying on the back.
"What happened?" He pushed Jungkook and became aware of the situation.
"It's Sunhee, she's now with me at Hospital. There's some, wait…"
"What? Why?! Taehyung?!”
"Apppaaa!"
"Yes Appa here, baby, what happened?"
"Somebody hurt Aunty Irene, and he, he, do bad bad to my Aunty, I’ve tried to punch but he threw me. Appa.. huu, Appa Uncle Tae is sewing on my arms, I don't beautiful anymore, I'll turn like Franbentine ugly zombie. Or, or the ugly Scizororr I forgot his naaaaaame. We watched the moooovie. Who, who is he?"
"Oh baby, Appa will come to you, give the phone to Uncle Tae, I need to speak to him."
"NOOOOO! THE NAAAAME THE UGLY WITH WITH SCISSOR I DON'T WANT UGLY LIKE HIM. YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE ME NOW CAUSE HUUU I'M UGLY. NO NO SPEAK TO UNCLE NO. ME WITH ME, "
"Edward Scissorhands, Baby. Sunhee, please, please don't cry, please. It hurt me, please. Please honey, please, baby."
"I don't want to be Edward, Appa."
"You won't, Honey. I need to speak to Uncle Tae so I can find your room easily, and not get lost, okay? And tomorrow I'll bring one big unicorn plushie for you."
"Appa lost easily. Yes, why Appa lost in the hospital? Don’t be so Pabo . Pwomiz for plushie, big pink plush with wainboow tail?" She asked between her sobs and tears.
"Never once break my promises to my Princess Sunhee."
Jimin waited with closed eyes, he forgot that Jungkook heard all of the one way conversations.
"Jiminie, come to the VIP Room. We have Jiwoo, Wonho, Namjoon, and Yoongi."
"Irene Noona?"
"Unconscious,"
"Twenty minutes."
"That's all I've got to calm Sunhee, she's been yelling and crying, and refused to receive her medicines, she's tired and so stubborn. Please hurry and I'm sorry about this."
Jimin rested his head on the wall. And cracked his eyes open. He saw Jungkook standing beside him with a curious and a little shocked look.
"I have to go."
"I know, please don't ride your bike. You're not that sober."
"I am that sober, Jungkook."
"No, you're not. Your hands trembling, your face pale, and your eyes shook. Take a taxi."
"No! Don't tell me what to do! This is about my family, my child!" Jimin tried to get away from Jungkook, but the boy hugged him.
"Calm down, please. Calm yourself down. Please, Hyung. Or you'll get hurt."
And just by that, Jimin melted. He leaned his body into Jungkook's arms and wanted to cry out loud.
"I need to go. I need to go, Jungkook, please let me go. I need to go now, she'll be in pain,"
"Okay, okay, give me your key, let me drop you there."
“No, I’ll go, I’ll go.”
“Then go by taxi or something, or at least you wanted to crash your stubborn head on the road, then go. You're just wasting your time here, let me drop you there and I will go after that.”
Jimin gave Jungkook a look from his blurry vision until he blinked the tears away and wiped them with his backhand angrily. He felt so stupid when he realized he was crying in front of someone else. He felt so weak, and he didn't like that at all. He walked past Jungkook to get out of the bar straight to the parking lot.
He threw the key to Jungkook and pushed his helmet along with the gloves to Jungkook's chest. Jimin only wore his thin face mask when the boy looked at him with a confused look, and then somehow the boy realized that Jimin really planned to come and go back alone without him after they met.
Jimin grabbed the slim waist and he covered himself from the night wind. After Jimin gave him the address, they went in heavy silence for their entire ride. Jungkook never asked him anything, the boy only squeezed Jimin's hand a little when they stopped before the light turned green.
As they arrived, Taehyung was already there awaiting him together with Yoongi, and Wonho. Jimin ran to them, completely forgetting Jungkook's existence.
"Why are you all here?"
"You need to see Irene Noona first. Before we go to Sunhee." Yoongi said.
"Alright. Where's Jiwoo?" They moved together as Taehyung led the way.
"Upstairs, with Namjoon."
"What happened?"
"It was an attack. They must be targeting Sunhee. This could be their warning from what we had last time. But something is wrong, there must be leaked information regarding this house. No one outside our group knows that place, no one knows Sunhee." Yoongi said without any filter. He also didn't care about Jungkook at all.
"Why are we in ICU?" He asked Taehyung confusedly, but they just stayed silent.
Irene lay on the bed with one tube in her mouth. The only sound they heard was the beep from the heart monitor. They only watched from outside through the wide glass.
"Subconjunctival bleeding on both eyes, fracture in her ribs, and one of her ribs is broken and stabbed into her lung. She lost so much blood, and we have to open her right at that instant to save her. All we can say is that she's now in a coma, she fought a lot to protect the kids, and now we're hoping she can make it. She'll stay like this until the internal bleeding heals little by little. And if she does not give up, she'll wake. She must wake up but we do not know for how long." Taehyung said.
"Wonho?"
"Eun Tak was in charge tonight. He’s with Taeil, but Taeil he’s not made it."
"He's here?"
"They're waiting for you, Hyungnim."
Jimin spun his body right away and walked. His face was hard to tell, he was furious and sad at the same time. He wanted to hurt someone so that suffocating in his chest could go away. Their steps echoed in a hallway hospital, he could tell the alcohol in his system was completely gone, as he saw Namjoon, and two of his people bow to him. But Jimin ignored them and walked into the room.
"Only Taehyung will come with me."
Jimin's heart felt to his feet when he saw his little angel lay on the big bed alone, and still crying holding her arm.
"Sunhee?" He called.
But his sweet little girl was only crying, her lips kept calling Appa, but no voice. It made Jimin hurt so much. He sat at the side of the bed and his girl jumped on his lap and cried on his chest.
"Ssshh, you'll be alright baby, you'll be fine. I'm here. Sshh , it's okay, it's okay. I'm here." He rocked his body left and right, he rubbed her back up and down to shoot her nerves down. Sunhee is still crying even though her voice is lost, and Jimin still repeats the same words like chants until the sobs little by little are gone.
"I'll bring her to my Penthouse, please give her medicine now, Tae. Make the pain go, Tae, please."
"Okay, I'll prepare everything, but you need to let her sleep for at least thirty minutes or one hour here, just to know the medicine works fine. And I need to check her stitch, it's bleeding again."
"Please, please do whatever you need to do," Jimin said with a small voice, begging Taehyung.
"Jimin, she's strong and stubborn. Just like you. Stubborn people heal quickly, don't worry. Now let her down, I'll do the rest. And if you want to talk, please do it at the emergency exit, at the stairs. This door is not soundproof."
Jimin just nodded. He kissed the crown of Sunhee's head, the tip of her little nose, and her chubby cheek. As he walked out the room, and when the door was closed he saw Eun Tak, bowing a little too deep than usual. Jimin grabbed his hair and pulled him away from the door. Nobody dares to put up a hand when Jimin is in rage, so the four of them stay silent.
"Hyungnim, please, please." He begged Jimin. But Jimin was the man in this house, so no begging at his feet unless they had a valid reason. He pushed the emergency exit door and released Eun Tak.
"Go down there." He said.
The moment Eun Tak took steps down from the stairs, Jimin kicked him on his back until he fell from the stairs.
"I can smell alcohol from your dirty mouth, Eun Tak." He said as he stepped down from the stairs. The man on the ground quickly got up on his knee.
"I'm sorry, Hyungnim. Something is wrong, but we didn't drink."
Jimin grabbed his hair again and then slapped so hard that the sound echoed in there. The corner of his lips now bleeding and his cheek turned red. But that's not enough for Jimin. So he slapped his face again, and again, and again until his hands hurt.
"Jimin," Yoongi warned.
"You know what makes you alive until now, Eun Tak?"
"Hyu.." his mouth was full of blood, and his head was dangling like it didn't have any bones.
"You're right, that's because I decided to spare your life."
"'m sorry."
"How many of them?"
But Eun Tak was in between conscious and not. So he just opens and closes his eyes.
"HOW MANY OF THEM?!"
"Three, Hyungnim, three."
"Only three and you can't protect my kids?" Jimin grabbed Eun Tak's head with both his hands and kneeled him right to his nose. It cracked and spurted blood.
"I've told you so many times! To keep your fucking eyes open! Now, look! Do you want to change with Irene there?! Do you want to have a broken rib and stabbed to your lung?! Tell me, Eun Tak! Or do you want to follow Taeil in hell?! Tell me!"
"Please, Hyungnim. I'm wrong, I'm so wrong. I will… I will try to, to seek the truth."
"Fuck you!"
"Jimin." Yoongi's hands were on his shoulders, but he refused to be held.
"Shut up, Yoongi! Do you want to replace him here? Alright. Now on your knees, now!"
Yoongi was pulled by Namjoon, and Jimin was so lost in his anger.
"No? Good, you need to choose wisely before you act."
When Jimin returned to the ruined face of Eun Tak to hit him again, his arm was gripped by a large and strong hand. He turned his face to see who the fuck stopped him from hurting his prey. It was Jungkook, his eyes were shaking, his face was afraid and terrified but, still, he was there standing up bravely to stop Jimin from turning into his demon.
"Hyung, stop, please stop. Enough. Please release him, it's enough. He said something wrong. He learned his lessons, now please." Jungkook begged.
"Take your hand off from me."
"I will, but let him go."
"Take your fucking hand off from me, now."
"Jungkook, let him go, or else," Yoongi warned.
"No. What's wrong with you all? You let him drown in his rage and watch all of this happen. All of you turned blind to him. All of y…."
Jungkook's speech was cut when a hand is now gripping his neck strongly. He was short of air in his lungs, as he was pushed by Jimin to the wall.
"Don't play hero here, Jungkook." He hissed. Jungkook's other hand was trying to release Jimin's hand from his neck, but even though Jimin was smaller than him, he was still the strongest.
"You can't say the words, aren't you? Just because I want to meet you and have our conversation, Jungkook, doesn't mean that you can ask me to do this and that." He released his hand from his neck. The boy was now coughing and put his hand on his neck as he tried to breathe.
"Wonho, send him to the basement. I will take care of him later." He said when he looked at Eun Tak. "It's your choice, whether you want to clean him up or just let him die there, Wonho-ya. And then you need to go to our foster house too. Take your man there, and wait. Ask Siyoung Noona to come there too."
Wonho took Eun Tak by his arm and dragged him away fast. Now, it was just Namjoon and Yoongi who stood there, along with coughing Jungkook and furious Jimin. He pulled Jungkook at the hem of his pocket jeans and got his key and he threw it to Yoongi.
"Please see the other kids Hyung, and stay there, both of you. I can't trust this situation now. And give me your car, I’ll go home with Taehyung."
Yoongi gave Jimin his keys and went without words.
"We'll see you tomorrow," Namjoon said.
"Can you please bring me her big plush unicorn, it's supposed to be her birthday present, but let her have it now. The one with a rainbow on the tail, Hyung. Pink color."
"Alright. What about…" Namjoon saw Jungkook there.
"Just go."
And by that, they were both left alone in the heavy silence. Jimin rubbed his face roughly and ran his finger to his hair just like his habit.
"You should go too, Jungkook." He said, finally. But the boy snorted.
"You like to order people, don't you?"
"Yes. That's what I always do."
"You don't have to hit him like that. I don't mind that you strangled me or something, but you need to stop."
"I'm sorry that I'm not the person you've imagined before. But I will not stop."
"Why? Why do you like that? You act like you're the bad guy. Why are they obeying every word you said? Why did that Hyung just watch you and didn’t do anything?"
"You asked too much, now go. And sorry what happened to you."
"Why did you ask me to leave? I don't care what you've done to me, Hyung. But please, don't be like that again. It's so cruel to hit someone like that."
"I know you already saw the woman in ICU, she's become like that because of the man I hit earlier. She's become like that because i told her to keep her eyes on my child. My only one."
"It doesn't mean he deserves that too from you."
"You know the girl who called me Appa? She will turn five next week. We had this plan for fucking five year, to be mine, legally. Do you have any idea where I found her? In the abandoned container, on a winter night. She is the bastard baby from a dying whore. Her mother was dead after delivering her in that container, hugging her. She had no family, she only had Irene, who poured her with love just like her own kid. So yes, I will hurt anyone who hurt her, and her beloved ones, Jungkook."
Jungkook was surprised but he still kept his silence.
"You know why I still let her stay in that Orphanage, Jungkook? It's because sometimes I don't come home, sometimes I think I will die in a dark forest. I don't want to fill her heart with that. And now, I settled that for five years, just to give her a chance, to give myself chances to be a better man. So yes, let me work on my own. And I'm sorry, I dragged you along too. Now, Jungkook, please go from here. Do not let yourself be involved in our world. We're not good people. And I'm sorry that I lied."
"It's different between when you lied and didn't want to tell me yourself. You never lied to me, you just didn't talk about yourself too much, and I didn't ask. Never ask you, Hyung."
"Jungkook, you don't understand." He pressed his palms to his eyes. "I'm that monster . I'm not a normal person like who you met, talked to, and shared stories with."
"No, you're a good person, and so are your friends too."
"No! We're the bad guy like you said before. We do this for living."
"What, what are you talking about Hyung?"
"I'm not an employee who works at a company in South Korea like you were thinking, Jungkook. I didn't have a lunch break that time because I just sent someone to death. I told them to kill someone and they will do that for me because they obeyed and served me. They begged their life on my feet. Tell me that I’m not a monster, tell me that I’m a good person from what you've heard now."
Jungkook just took steps backward until his head thud on the wall. Jimin can see the boy shivering.
"I can see you understand the situation." Jimin took steps forward and his hand was about to reach Jungkook's chin, but the boy closed his eyes, he was scared of Jimin. And it made his heart in pain. So he pulled out.
"And I can see that your point of view is changing too. Goodbye, Jungkook. Thank you for tonight, and I'm sorry."
Jimin spun his body and went up a little too fast. He was a bit disappointed when Jungkook didn't try to make him stay, or at least hugged him from behind and ignored all the bullshits he said. But his life will never be a drama, and he gulped down all the hopes that felt like knots in his throat.
He left Jungkook and his memories with him that night. Jimin is used to this kind of pain, he will be fine next week.
He must be fine.
As he entered the room, Taehyung was already there with his bags, he was playing with his phone and waiting on the couch.
"All done? Eun Tak?"
"Done."
"Good, he deserves that. Jungkook?"
"Done too."
"What do you mean by done ?"
"Can we bring her home now?"
Taehyung just blinked behind his glasses and he nodded.
"Of course, of course. I have her medicines in this bag, and band-aid, etc etc,."
"Does she need an IV or something?"
"No, she had stitches, not a fever, Jimin. She'll be fine."
"Alright. Can you drive? You okay?"
"Sure, Yoongi will pick me up tomorrow, so yes. I'm okay."
The way back home was in a good silence. He put Sunhee in his big bed with a soft sheet, and he turned on the lamp on his nightstand. He went straight to his bathroom and took a quick shower and put on his sweatpants and his loose t-shirt. He saw his little angel in deep sleep, her small lips were parted, and her eyes were still red from crying. He wrapped her with a blanket and gave a kiss on the top of her head before he walked out and went to the guest room where Taehyung will stay for a night.
"Tae… are you sleeping?"
"No, I'm dancing now, Jimin," he said with a tired voice.
He sighed and dragged himself to lay on the side of Taehyung and hug him from behind.
"Thank you so much."
"The chance that she'll make it is 30%, Jimin. She lost so much blood. Don't say thank you now."
"I know, she'll sleep and rest well tonight. Even if she goes, at least you helped her."
"Irene is like my old sister. I don't want that to happen, Jimin. Sunhee will be sad. We'll be sad."
"I know, I don't want that either."
"What about you and Jungkook?"
"There's nothing between us, Tae."
"You sounded like you really liked that boy earlier."
"He saw me hit Eun Tak and the whole damned conversation. And I gripped his neck so tightly." He buried his face between Taehyung's shoulder blades.
"And?"
"And I told him, that I do bad things, and he still didn't believe in me. The moment I wanted to touch him, he was like a pup in distress."
"Oh, Jiminie…"
"I'm sorry, I can't be like you, do some normal shits."
"It will be fine. We’ll be fine. We'll figure it out."

Jimin woke up with a sobbing voice on his chest. He cracked his eyes open and he looked down. His little girl was on top of him, her long hair was a mess.
"Baby, what is it?"
"Appa, pupu."
"Huh?"
"Sunhee, pupu. Open door, hurry."
"Huh?"
But his little girl just cried out loud and Taehyung opened the door with a loud bang too. Sunhee ran to him and she was crying so much because she needed to use the bathroom urgently.
She was crying because she couldn't reach the doorknob and she had no heart to wake up Jimin. He wanted to coo the little girl but he got a smack from Taehyung on his back.
Taehyung decided to wash her up since it was already nine in the morning.
Jimin washed his face and brushed his teeth and went to the kitchen for their simple breakfast. He pressed buttons on the remote to open the curtains and the entire room was filled with sunlight. His Penthouse was on the top level of the building, and it cost a fortune to have all of Seoul from his windows.
"Sunhee, come here. Let's eat your breakfast."
"Do you have my scrambled egg and honey toast, Appa?"
"It's all served here, my Princess."
She chuckled and ate her breakfast. They heard all the stories from yesterday night, even though they heard it from a four years old kid, the two of them looked so serious. All Jimin needs to know now is from Irene, so he can know what they want from him. Their conversations were stopped when they heard the bell door rang.
“Uncle Namnuuuun!” she ran to the door and froze, “Is that? Is that for me?” Her eyes almost fell when she saw the big, pink unicorn with a rainbow tail in Namjoon’s arms.
“Your Appa said, I need to bring this now, supposed to be your birthday present.”
“Appaaa? You kept your promise?” She ran back to Jimin and hugged his leg. And then ran again to Namjoon and hugged his leg too.
“Only them deserve a hug from you?” Yoongi said when he closed the door. “I have this difficulty fitting that in my car.”
“You do? Uncle Yoonji thank youuu.” She hugged Yoongi's leg too, which made Yoongi’s rare gummy smile appear.
“What about me?” Taehyung asked with a little teasing pout.
“What did you do to me?”
“Do you want to mention your braided hair and your lovely tutu skirt, Little Pumpkin?”
“Uncle Taetae toooo. Sunhee loves you tooo..” She ran back to Taehyung and hugged his leg.
