Domesticated animal

Summary:

"Is Hokage-sama going to be my new dad?", Sarada asked, her no no-nonsense, all business voice not betraying her for a second.
In that way, Sasuke thought, she was much like her mother; understanding to a degree he could not fathom but a sassy tease in day to day life. It was one of the many traits he liked about his wife, even enjoyed, if he daresay. But right now.......he doesn't think he enjoys it at the moment.

Notes:

None of the characters in this story belong to me, Mr. Kishimoto has ownership over them. Also, we love a jealous Sasuke Uchiha, so ~ergo~

Work Text:

"It's okay, Kakashi-sensei. He won't mind. Besides I'm inviting you, he doesn't have a say in this."

"I'm not your sensei anymore."

Haruno, Oops, I mean, Uchiha Sakura let out a little giggle as she led her former sensei towards her house. It was an apartment in a ten story building, the third one they had bought in eight years due to 'unforeseen situations' that led to 'measure that had to be taken'. If you ask the Uchihas ask about it only the daughter will give you a straight answer, the matriarch too embarrassed to say anything and Mr. Uchiha horrified and amused in a way you can't quite catch.

Sasuke is chopping some vegetables when the pair enters through the door, his back towards them, and Sarda is on the couch reading something.

Kakashi's brows rise in amusement at the sight of his student and the 'lone, cold-blooded' Uchiha indulging in such domestics tasks, and before you even remark on it, it's gone.

"Kakashi-sensei's gonna be here for lunch.", Sakura says to no one in particular, it's aimed for Sasuke an the man just nods.

Kakashi sits himself down on the couch, a soft smile tugging behind his mask as he notices the medical scrolls Sarada's trying to comprehend.

Sarada is an Uchiha, and much like her father, her fame precedes her, that of being the sole Uchiha's only progeny, that of being the daughter of the pink haired medical Goddess who saves more than she's killed, and for those who don't know, she's killed way more than you think a pretty medic can, that of being a proof and result of the unwavering feelings the two new Sannins harboured for each other since young , but most of all she's known as an Uchiha; people expect her to be a genius shinobi with crimson eyes, which she no doubt already is, but the Uchiha in question bends more toward her mother's powers, finding comfort and challenge in the sensitive nin-jutsu.

"Hokage-sama-"

"I'm not Hokage anymore."

"Ugh, fine. I'm still stuck on that paragraph, Kakashi-san.", the young Uchiha says, a small, tired sigh making its way to her lips.

"I'm really as hopeless as you in this."

Sakura stifles a little laugh.

"Please, sensei, you're the 'Genius Copy Ninja'. Share your greatness with my daughter, she won't steal it; has plenty of her own."

The amusement is clear in her voice and Sasuke's lips twitch up a little at the remark. Kakashi gives Sakura a tired look that probably says "You know I'm not lying, why you gotta trouble this old man?", never mind that he's barely 45. Sakura gives her sensei a cheeky smile before going through the scroll's Sarada's studying.

"Do you mind if I use the bathroom?"

"Why do you even ask at this point, sensei?"

Kakashi gets up from his position and heads towards Sakura and Sasuke's shared room.

Sasuke is a little....constricted, is there no guest bathroom in this house?

"The hand wash smells floral," Sarada says.

"Leave him be, maybe he'll attract few women."

Sarada rolls her eyes internally, First of all, Kakashi is too uninterested in women to even look at them, except, of course, in his pervy books. At one point Sarada had even asked Boruto if he thought Kakashi was into men. Boruto had thought for a minute, the longest she'd seen him think, and said that even if he was he didn't put any effort in 'wooing' them; his mother was making him do vocabulary. Second of all, that would only be possible if he spent time with people other than her, Sakura and Gai-san. When Sarada was five she even had a dream where Kakashi was her father, it was...unsettling, to say the least.

Sarada glanced towards her father.

"Is Hokage-sama going to be my new dad?", Sarada asked, her no no-nonsense, all business voice not betraying her for a second.

Sakura gives a judgemental look before bursting into fits of laughter.

"Hey, Sasuke-kun, I don't think Sarada wants you anymore."

And Sasuke should be amused, he knows they're joking, but he's just not. He frowns a little, unable to understand Sakura's humour.

When Kakashi enters the living room Sakura shares Sarada's question with him and he too gives a scandalized look. Sakura's smile stays on her lips as she says, "We would produce a lot of attractive and badass children though."

Kakashi and Sarada both give a disgusted look before busying themselves.

Sasuke's chopping comes to a halt mid-air.

'lot' Does Sakura want more children? She never said that.

Even if she wanted more children she wouldn't have said it cuz you're always out.

But knowing Sakura she would've said something, she doesn't keep quite about important matters. Or did she think he was not up to the task? I mean, he might not be the most sex crazed man but this was the love of his life, his wife, he could surely go a few rounds with her willingly till like, forever.

And what did she mean attractive progenies? Sasuke took offense at that. Their daughter was attractive in a way he couldn't quite place, in all her jokes said in serious tone and caring actions. And what? Was Sakura holding him responsible? Did she mean he was not as good looking as Kakashi? But wasn't she the one who used to fangirl over his looks?

And what did she mean badass? His daughter was the most badass Genin he knew, including him. And, yes, he knows what badass means, thank you very much.

The abrupt halt in chopping doesn't go unnoticed by the the other three. Kakashi has an amused look in his eyes while Sakura has a mixture of amusement, 'Don't even get me started.' and 'He's cute.' Sakura had really just meant it as a joke, now if her husband got all troubled and sulky over that, that was totally a bonus. Sasuke doesn't continue chopping, deciding instead to listen to their conversation. Kakashi, more so amused than surprised by this side of Sasuke, decides to play on.

"Maybe white hair would suit Sarada."

Sasuke makes a face, and this time, fortunately, he's not the only one doing do.

"I'll pass. I'm into blackheads.", Sakura says.

That does all the work for Sasuke; he's chopping he's veggies again, this time with with a smug look on his face.

Sakura smiles fondly and goes to help him while Kakashi smiles in amusement.

The couple work in silence, both so in sync that words aren't needed. Sakura puts some rice to cook before sneaking a slice of cabbage from the chopping board where Sasuke is cutting them. If it were the old Sasuke, the one who didn't have all of his wife's habits engraved in his blood like they were his own, he might have given her a dissatisfied look. His mother had always reprimanded him when he did that. But Sasuke had gotten used to this, gotten used to his wife like the worshipper who's left in awe every time he sees his Goddess but whose knees have become a dear friend of the floor, and besides, his mother would have liked Sakura. Sakura takes a spoonful of the broth that's been on the gas ever since she entered. Sasuke spares a glance in her direction before directing his attention to the cabbage. She adds a green powdery substance to the broth before giving Sauke her flashy smile.

"Your cooking has improved."

Sasuke nods slightly, something meant just for Sakura. To another person it might not seem like much but Sakura knows that he's already putting it in the list of his achievements, like a child laminating a prized certificate and thanking whoever it was that let him cook proper meals. Her husband is really, in plain terms, simply cute behind the air of nonchalance he puts on. She would kiss him if her daughter and sensei were not sitting steps away.

Kakashi watches his students in amusement, the fond look never once leaving his face.

"I guess you aren't used to Papa acting like this too."

Kakashi just 'Hn's in reply.

"I didn't expect him to be....." a sulky, easy to please, smug, no, wait, smug is in the Uchiha DNA, clingy, easily jealous, insecure, whipped, domestic animal. Of course, in such subtle ways that to someone who hasn't known him long enough it would all just go unnoticed.

"so ...domestic."

The mother daughter duo let out a snicker. And Sasuke should be offended, the Uchiha blood in him is telling him so, but he somehow isn't, on the contrary, he's a little happy. Of all the words that's been used to describe him- cold blooded, traitor, arrogant, bastard, heartless and other such pleasantries, this one is by far his favourite, he decides. No shame in accepting that, yes, he's indeed so smitten by this intelligent and gorgeous woman that he's indulging in such domestic yet foreign tasks. And while he's on a roll he might as well accept that he's even pleased by the way his sensei described, it makes him sound like a family man, he likes it.

Sakura giggles, her eyes soft upon noticing the small smile on Sasuke's face and she knows what the word must mean to him. She could tease him a little but decides to show mercy because her husband just too darn adorable.

"I don't think that should be coming from you, sensei. You have been doing these chores since forever," Sakura says in an almost mocking way, "and you're still single." She gives her sensei a disappointed look.

Sasuke's smile gets replaces with a smirk.

Yep, he really likes his wife.
