"In a land far, far away, lies the Kingdom of Fiore, a small peaceful nation of 17 million, and a place filled with magic! Found in every home, bought and sold in every marketplace, for most, magic is merely a tool, a mundane part of everyday life. For some, however, magic is an art, and they have devoted their lives to its practice.
These are the mages. Banded together into magical guilds they apply their skills in search of fame and fortune. Many such guilds dot the landscape of Fiore.
But there is a certain guild in a certain town that soars high above the rest, one from which countless legends have been born... a guild that will no doubt continue to create legends well into the future.
Its name... is Fairy Tail."
"Is the mic on yet?"
"Yes yes, it is. Just give me a second damm it!"
"Well hurry up!.... You know what gimme that" a boy shrieked in alarm as another hand snatched the mic he was holding to use it. "Testing testing. . . ok, it's on! Hello readers! Welcome to this lovey story!"
"That was a horrible intro"
"Shut it Chuuya! Ahem, as I was saying, welcome to the show! You might recognize us from Bungou Stray Dogs, who knew we were an anime?"
"Actually, we were a manga series first, then an anime"
"Details details. Anyway, I'm Ozaki Kouyou, former Executive of the Port Mafia"
"And I'm Nakahara Chuuya, former Executive of the Port Mafia"
"Now you may be wondering, 'why are you saying, former executive? did you defect like Dazai did?' Actually, that's a funny story haha. . .see . . . we died"
"Yep. Corruption killed me. . ."
"And the Russian Rat killed me. And let me just say. . ."
"Dying sucks"
"My death was the most painful though"
"Hmm, that is true. Hey by the way where is Arahabaki anyway?"
"Probably causing chaos somewhere. Anyways. The two of us didn't die completely. See we got a second chance by this short mini-god or something like that"
"Actually she said she was a 'technically a meddling god who is bored as hell'"
"Details details. So, she gave us a second chance and sent us to a new world with magic!"
"So buckle up everyone as we take you on a new adventure, oh and a little message for you readers out there. Please make sure to reduce the brightness of your device if its night time where you are. . ."
"And make sure you sleep as well. Because even though the world sucks and sleep are for the weak. . ."
"We all deserve the sweet blessing of sleep. Oh and finally. . ."
"Any stunts showcase in this show do not do them at home."
"Please don't try and break the laws of physics. Now, . . ."
"On with the show!"
N-No way...
It's all her fault. If only she didn't run away from home, this wouldn't have happened to Fairy Tail! Team Shadowgear wouldn't have got injured, Master wouldn't be in critical condition, members of the guild wouldn't have been injured in the fight with the Phantoms, and that... that thing wouldn't be making its way towards the guild hall now!
"Wha-What is that...?"
"Is it...Phantom?!"
"The guild is walking..."
Erza had rushed out of the bathrooms clad in only a towel around her body. Like the rest of the guild, she stared at the walking monstrosity in shock.
"I never imagined...they'd attack us like this."
"What should we do?!"
A large cannon appeared at the front of the walking guildhall of Phantom Lord and Fairy Tail watched as it began to charge up magical energy to fire a blast of condensed magical energy onto their guildhall.
"THIS IS BAD! EVERYBODY, GET DOWN!" Erza screamed out loud as she dashed to the front of the guildhall.
"Erza!"
"What are you going to do?!"
"Get back here! Erza!"
The members of Fairy Tail watched in a mixture of shock and amazement as Erza reequipped into an amour with many thick metal plates as she screamed for the rest of Fairy Tail to get down. Lucy idly noted that one of the members called it the Herculean Armor.
The cannon from Phantom Lord fired as everyone covered their heads and lay prone onto the ground. Many of them were trying to use their own bodies to shield the other members. Elfman was trying to cover Mira, and Gray was holding onto Natsu to prevent him from running up to Erza, who had decided to shield the blast from the Fairy Tail's guildhall and the members behind her.
Lucy and the rest of Fairy Tail watched as the blast of condensed magical energy got closer and closer to Erza. If it hit her...
"Erzaaaa!"
"Damn it Natsu, stop moving! Have faith in Erza!"
It was then a miracle happened.
The condensed magical energy stopped in its tracks, making Erza slowly open her tightly shut eyes to see it right in front of her. It was so close that she could feel the heat coming from it. Then the magical energy rose up and flew back towards the cannon denting a part of it.
It was quiet in the area, everyone looking at it, shocked at what had just transpired in front of their very eyes. When the some cleared, it revealed a redhead boy with his hands outstretched towards the direction the magical every had gone to, a smirk on his face
"It's Chuuya!"
"He saved us!"
The boy, Chuuya, turned in their direction and helped Erza up. he held Erza's hand and asked "What's going on?! I come back after six months and this is what I see?!" placing his hands on his hips.
Erza sighed in relief at their guildmate. "Chuuya! I'm so happy to see you. Phantom Guild is attacking us!"
"Yeah I can clearly see that, but why?"
Lucy tried to hide behind the nearest person when Erza turned her gaze to meet hers, making Chuuya then notice her. He was silent for a while, just staring at her with a raised eyebrow, then he nodded and turned around, glaring at the Phantom Lord. A booming laugh erupted from them. "You don't stand a chance. Hand over Lucy Hearthphillia now"
A wave of protest rose from the Fairy Tail members as they defended Lucy, making her choke back on the tears that were appearing. What did she do to deserve such wonderful people?
"WE'D RATHER DIE THAN GIVE UP OUR COMRADE!" Erza screamed at Jose.
"OUR ANSWER WON'T CHANGE NO MATTER WHAT! WE'LL TAKE YOU DOWN!" Natsu roared at him, visibly angered at Jose's orders.
"I see..." Jose replied with a hint of rage in his deceptively calm voice. "Then we'll fire an even bigger and stronger Jupiter! NOW STRUGGLE IN THIS 15 MINUTE TERROR UNTIL IT'S RELOADED!"
"What?!"
"Jupiter...They'll...fire it again?!"
"Chuuya could stop one of those, but he can't stip them forever!"
"Look! Their soldiers are coming out!"
"No way! Aren't they just going to fire Jupiter?"
"Feel the pain, Fairy Tail. You have two choices." Jose's sickening voice could be heard loud and clear once again. "Get killed by my soldiers, or die by Jupiter."
"Impossible...is he going to kill his men with Jupiter as well? H-He's just threaten-"
"Oh for the love of everything, shut up. You asshole."
A powerful surge of magical energy swept through the area around them as the air around her distorted as a woman's voice called out. Lucy and the others turned to see a redhead girl with a crow on her shoulder walk up towards the phantom guild and stooped next to Chuuya, crossing her arms over a chest as the crow cawed loudly in anger.
"A fool like you would never understand the meaning of a guild. That will be your downfall." Bright shining orbs appeared around her. They shone an otherworldly red and gold. "We are Fairy Tail. We protect our own and we don't bow to anyone, and certainly not to an idiot that only knows how to parade around flaunting the mascara on his face." Cheers could be heard from the rest of the guild as more orbs started spinning around her and the guild. "Like what Natsu said, we will take you down, and you are going down hard."
"We choose neither of your options, and we certainly don't need fucking 15 minutes to take your Jupiter cannon down. You and your lackeys might want to step aside, by the way. I don't want to stain my hands with your filthy blood if I accidentally kill any of you."
She raised her hand up in the air making a few of the orbs combine in bright light to reveal a long sword, she then thrust her hand in the direction of Jupiter Cannon and it flew towards it at high speeds. Lucy watched in amazement as it pierced the cannon and continued to go through the cannon and emerge out of the Phantom guild's hall. Then the sword flew back to the girl's outstretched hand and she spun it around then gave Jose a smirk.
"There, you have our answer"
"Y-You...YOU WILL BE THE FIRST ONE I KILL, YOU VERMIN!"
Jose's shades swarmed out from the Phantom Lord guild hall towards Fairy Tail. It won't be long before they reach the guildhall. The Phantom Lord's guild also visibly transformed into a humanoid gigantic robot much to the horror of Fairy Tail, and it is making its way here.
"Alright! Everyone listen up!" the girl turned around to face the rest of Fairy Tail as her voice took on an authoritative tone, cutting off their stares towards the gigantic robot. "Macao! Wakaba! Go to the basement and grab whatever lacrima bombs you can find in the guild's basement! I know they are still there! You guys will be in charge of our artillery! Get more people with you if you need help! Alzack! Bisca! You guys will be in charge of the defense on the left side! Cana! You will be in charge of the right side! Natsu! Gray! Elfman! Erza! I need you to go up there to Phantom Lord and destroy the Element Four! Happy! Go with Natsu! Chuuya and I will stay with the others here to help in defending the guild! All of you stay away from Jose! None of you are capable of fighting him! Just make sure to bring down the Element Four! Lucy, whoever you are! You are with me! Jose cannot snatch you away from right under my eyes! Warren! You are with me as well! We need your powers to link with everyone! Make sure you establish a connection for Erza's group for them to be able to contact each other! I will defend the center! The rest of you, split yourselves! Either help Macao and Wakaba, or help in the defense on the right and left sides, or the center! Now, MOVE!"
"Don't worry about us going up to Phantom Lord's building, Kouyou. We will win." Erza said to the girl as she ran off with the others who also were tasked to bring the Element Four down.
"Stay safe, Erza. The rest of you too."
"Don't worry about that, we will kick their ass!"
"AYE!"
"Time to be a MAN!"
"I will just freeze their ass off."
Seeing that their small but elite attack force running off towards the Phantom's building, the rest of Fairy Tail burst into a flurry of movements as they split themselves up equally. Some of them ran back to the guild's basement with Macao and Wakaba, some of them organized the defenses with the temporary leaders that the girl, Kouyou, had appointed. Lucy ran up to where the redheads were.
They were both around the same height as herself, each with long red hair, but Chuuya's only reached his shoulder. and bright orange eyes. Chuuya was hearing a fedora hat on his head with black shoes and a short black jacket over his white shirt, while Kouyou was wearing a red dress with a long black reach coat over it. The crow on Kouyou's shoulder cawed as she neared them making Lucy flinch back in shock and for Kouyou to laugh.
Kouyou gave a small smile to Lucy. "You must be Lucy. I don't think this is the best time to do introductions, but I am Kouyou Cerise and this is my brother Chuuya. Make sure that you stay behind us and or be in our line of sight at all times. Don't worry, we will win this, and then we can all go back home together."
Lucy trembled as she tried very hard not to cry. "I-I'm sorry. This is all my fault"
Kouyou tilted her head in confusion and asked "Are you a member of Fairy Tail?"
Lucy blinked in confusion and blinked out all the tears in her eyes and asked in confusion "Huh?"
"Are you or not?"
"I- I am!"
"Then there's no problem" Chuuya shrugged, finally paying attention to the two girls and walking closer to place a hand on her shoulder. He smiled a small smile at her, as he said "If you are a member of Fairy Tail, we'll do anything to protect you. If it's to protect our family, be it the Kingdom or the entire world... We would make anyone our enemy! That's what it means to be Fairy Tail!"
Lucy's eyes widened in shock at her proclamation and she nodded rapidly to say she understood. "Right!"
"Atta girl" Chuuya smirked at her patting her shoulder. Then the three of them focused on the shades that Jose had sent at them. "They are coming. Prepare yourselves."
Fairy Tail prepared themselves as the waves of shades got closer and closer to them. The giant robot lumbered up from behind the shades.
"Lucy. Stay within the orbs around Kouyou and fight from there if you can. Make sure to not go farther away from me though, and be careful"
Any further conversations were cut off as the first wave of shades were near enough to clash with the Fairy Tail members that made up their front lines any moment now. Chuuya raised his hand higher, a huge chunk of the earth beneath them rising at his command then after ten seconds of silence, thrust his hands down making the earth zoom towards the guild.
All the members of Fairy Tail who stayed behind to defend their guild and Lucy watched in shock at what was happening in front of their eyes while Kouyou merely smiled at her brother's handy work.
This...this is the power of an S Class mage.
"Chuuya!" Kouyou called out from beside Lucy. "You're going overboard again!"
"I don't see you doing anything at all Kouyou, so shut it"
"How rude!" Kouyou huffed in faux annoyance making Lucy silently giggle at their antics. The crow on Kouyou's shoulder cawed again making Kouyou reach over and pet it. "Are you really looking for a fight Reinelle? Hold still for a moment ok?" She then turned back to watch her brother stop the attacks the robot sent towards them and send it back towards it.
The rest of Fairy Tail wasn't idle either. They launched attacks of their own to aid their insanely strong guildmate in the battle against the massive army of Jose's shades. Macao and Wakaba had returned with a huge number of lacrima bombs together with some of the other members who went to help them, and the bombs they threw cleared a large number of the shades as well.
The gigantic robot that is also the Phantom Lord's building had stopped midway in its charge to draw a magical seal in midair with one of its robotic fingers.
"I will be damned, that's an Abyss Break! Is Jose crazy?!"
"If such a huge seal went off, it will destroy everything up to the Kardia Cathedral!"
"CALM DOWN!"
Fairy Tail members stopped their mouths from running while still firing their attacks and looked towards Chuuya, who is still busy stopping Jose's shades and had shouted at them over all the noise.
"Use your brain for once! Such a huge spell has to find power from somewhere! Abyss Break is a four elemental forbidden spell, which are fire, water, wind, and earth respectively! What does the Phantom Lord have?! They have the Element Four! Warren! Contact Erza and the others! I think it's safe to say that to take out that Abyss Break, they need to first defeat the Element Four, or find the device that is powering the spell using the Element Four's powers! Tell them to hurry!"
"Got it! I'm on it!" Warren said as he tried to communicate with Erza's group with telepathy while he was being protected by Chuuya's shield that was around Lucy as well.
Chuuya continued to shout at Fairy Tail while stooping Jose's shades. "Just focus on the shades first, have trust in Erza and the others! If they can wreck our guildhall on a daily basis, they can easily destroy Phantom's as well!" Chuuya joked as he commanded the shades to self destruct under his magic
A roar of laughter washed across the Fairy Tail members as they renewed their attacks and continued to help defend their guildhall. Like what Chuuya said, all they have to do is to place their trust in their guildmates. They will win this.
Fairy Tail can win this.
"Finally! Erza! Natsu! Gray! Elfman! I have been trying to contact you guys for ages! Listen very carefully! There is a crisis and you guys are the only ones who can stop it! This is what you need to do..."
"So we just need to defeat the Element Four? I just beat that Toto-something guy! That's one down! I think I smelt that metal bastard! So I'm going there right now to kick his ass!"
"Well done, Natsu. I am still searching for a member of the Element Four. How about the rest of you?"
"Huff. Huff... Elfman here. I just defeated Sol, I think that was the bastard's name anyway. He's definitely a member of the Element Four as well, he uses Earth magic."
"I am currently fighting the water one! Get back to you later! Ice-Make: Lance!"
"Good job guys! The speed at which the giant robot is drawing the seal is obviously slowing down! Keep it up! Warren over and out!"
Kouyou looked in his direction and asked "What did they say?"
"Natsu and Elfman have defeated two of the Element Four, with Gray fighting the water one. Erza said that she still looking for hers"
"Good. Thanks, Warren. Still keep in contact with them" He nodded at her making her turn to face the robot. "As soon as they defat the Four I can destroy this asshole once and for all. But first, these shades. Chuuya! Enough is enough, destroy them"
"It's about fucking time!" Chuuya crowed in agreement nad the crow, Reinelle if Lucy remembered right, flapping her wings in happiness. Kouyou turned to look at Lucy, and told her "Lucy, this might get bumpy, so stay directly behind me now"
"Okay!"
"The rest of you!" she turned her head to look behind her, "Stop all attacks' to the shades for a few seconds. Keep on firing at the robot if you are, but ignore the shades."
"What the hell-"
"You got it Kouyou!"
"Sure thing"
While still hiding behind Kouyou, Lucy asked "Ummm. what is Chuuya planning to do?"
Kouyou chuckled as a smirk grew on her face. "Why he's dealing with this annoying nuisance of course! Yokohoma style!"
Chuuya raised his hands, red seals crawling on his arm as he inhaled, closing his eyes. Then he snapped them open and clenched his hands shut stopping every shade that was coming towards them in its path. He clasped his hands together making the shades move giant their will, and as he slowly extended his arms, the shades began to shriek in pain as they were being ripped apart, then they all exploded with a boom, nothing but smoke remaining.
All the shades were gone, and it seemed that none were coming back. And the Abyss Break spell had suddenly stopped its activation, the magical seal suddenly disappearing as the right arm of the main body fell off.
'WHO-HOO! THEY DID IT!"
"CHUUYA AND THE OTHERS DID IT!"
"NOW WE CAN REALLY KICK THEIR ASSES!"
"Kouyou!" she turned her head to Warren as he called her frantically "Ezra...… Gray, and Elfmam...Jose found them! They are fighting Jose"
Kouyou reminded silent as the news hit her, biting her lips in annoyance.
"Chuuya, I'm leaving the defenses here to you. Protect Lucy and the guild."
"I will. Stay safe, Kouyou." She nodded and after patting Lucy's head, turned to stare at Reinelle and grin. "Come on girl, time to go and kick butt ne?'
Reinelle cawed in agreement and flew off her shoulder to grow in size, then picked Kouyou up with her claws and flew towards the Phantom Lord building. Erza's magic signature shone as bright as day, and is a big enough beacon for her to find.
The two announced their entrance with an explosion to the walls of the Phantom Lord building, and saw the guild master of Phantom Lord blasting their guildmates with his sickly magic.
"Kouyou! And. . Reinelle?" Gray called out to them as he tried to block Jose's attacks.
"Ah, so this is the Phantom of Fairy Tail. I have to say, I'm impressed that your brother is still able to stand and fight even after blocking the Jupiter cannon and destroying it." He directed the last part of his speech to Kouyou, who looked at him impassively. "Titania and Phantom your magical abilities are truly magnificent. DEAD WAVE!"
Jose extended his right hand sideways as he generated several ghosts around it in a spiral, he then released it in a destructive wave of Darkness magic at the Fairy Tail mages.
"Reinelle!"
The crow took a deep breath and cawed loudly, a wave of sound hitting Jose making him shout and cover his ears to block out the sound, blood dripping from his hand.
"Arling kids! While Jose is distracted, why don't you run off and help Chuuya and the others ne?"
"BUT!-"
"Ahahahahahah shush!; Kouyou placed her finger on Erza's lips, shutting it for her. "Now shoo. Reinelle and I got this alright" The other reluctantly nodded then ran out making Kouyou huff in amusement at their antics. "Now, what to do with you?" Kouyou spun around to face Jose who had gotten up from his fallen position, one hand used to cover his right bleeding ear. "Aww, how pathetic"
"YOU-"
Jose's rant was cut off as a dark blast of magic attacked him from behind making him stumble. "Reinelle you are too harsh on him dear" Kouyou chuckled at her crow, amber eyes sparkling in amusement. "Oh and readers! If you guys are thinking we are too op and who Reinelle is, all will be explained with the classic flashbacks in future episodes! Now back to Chuuya and the others"
"Will Kouyou and Reinelle be alright?" Gray asked as he ran alongside his friends
"If we stay there we will just be a burden to them. We have to trust Kouyou and leave everything to her."
The three of them had made their way outside the Phantom Lord building and regrouped with the rest of their guildmates. Elfman looked on in relief as he saw the others all save and sound. Lucy had a horse-man thing spirit shooting arrows like a professional archer. The clouds swirled above the Phantom's building where Kouyou, Reinelle, and Jose's fight were taking place, responding to the powers of the two very powerful mages.
"Beast Arm: Iron Bull!"
With a roar, Elfman charged in and knocked the shades away from his nakamas. Gray and Erza made short work of them as the shades dispersed into wisps of black smoke.
"Gray! Ezra! Elfman! Are you guys alright?!"
Chuuya turned his head to look at who had come when they reached them, before joining in their efforts to ward off the shades that were still attacking the rest of the guild members.
"We are fine. But we need to hold off the shades as long as possible until Eva defeats Jose."
"Kouyou's in there?!"
"Yes, Warren. Now concentrate on the battle. Help to protect the injured."
The rest of the guild had reorganized themselves around their new arrivals as they formed a circle facing outwards with their injured members in the center. This is their last stand. Gray clicked his tongue in annoyance as he inspected the damage being inflicted onto their guild building, which is now in ruins. If only he was faster and stronger, this wouldn't have happened.
"HELP!"
Gray turned to the cry of help as he saw Happy flying around in the air as he was bombarded with attacks by Jose's shades. He didn't waste any more time as he launched his attacks to disperse the shades, allowing Happy to fly to their defensive circle for safety.
"Where's Natsu?!"
"He's still in there! We were separated when he was fighting the metal guy!"
Crap, the pyro is still in Phantom's building?!
Elfman punched away a shade that would have gotten Gray from behind.
"I'm not sure how long I can hold Sagittarius to help" Lucy called out as she directed him to keep on shooting at the guild.
"It will be enough, Lucy," Erza said as she stood protectively in front of her friends as slashed at the shades in front of her with her swords. "It was a good call summoning him."
Lucy's face beamed with pride. The small amount of time that Lucy had bought for them was enough for the remaining Fairy Tail members to renew their attacks with vigor.
"FOR FAIRY TAIL!" Erza roared as the rest of the guild roared with her.
"This is so annoying" Chuuya sighed as he stared at the Phantom Guild Building with annoyance on his face. His sister was obviously taking her time in there, seeing that the shaded was still coming towards them and Jupiter was still active. "Oh fuck this, why does she always do this!?'"
