Chapter Text
Just so you know, if you are looking for a story with the exact characters from MLP or TTS, this is probably not your cup of tea. This is more inspired by MLP and TTS, and most of the characters are my own, and mainly not from any fandoms. Happy reading!
Narrator: "A long time ago, in the time of knights and kings, a princess and a queen ruled a thriving kingdom. The eldest, Queen Luna, possessed the Crown of the Moon, which gave her the ability to dreamwalk (visit dreams and help people with nightmares) and bring night. Her dreamwalking made her a favorite among the people. And the youngest, Princess Celestia, used the Crown of the Sun to heal and repair, and raise the sun. I mean, what else would you do with the Crown of the Sun? It's literally-" "Jacob, the script." "Oh yeah! Where was I... Princess Celestia yada yada... Ah! (ahem) And this, is where our story begins."
A beautiful princess, with a shimmering white and gold dress, curly blonde hair, and a gold crown with a topaz (yellow) jewel shaped as the sun, stood on the balcony of a castle, near the end of the day. (This is Princess Celestia.) Behind her, Queen Luna was dressed in a blue and purple dress, with thin silver chains draped about that glittered like stars. Atop her head, a deep purple crown with an opal (white) stone shaped as the moon rested with a matching necklace. As Luna was about to open the glass door to the balcony, she stopped halfway, hearing Celestia talking to herself. "Why does no one notice me?" Celestia asked no one in particular. Luna looked confused.
"I've waited so long, tried so hard..." a tear slipped down her cheek. "After all this time, all the people want is Luna. What does she have that I don't? All she does is prance about in dreamland." Celestia's expression hardened. "I'm done waiting." "Celestia?" Luna asks timidly, stepping out. Celestia whipped around, facing Luna. "All my life, I've been overshadowed. Do you know why?" Celestia questioned angrily. "I-I had no idea you felt this way. But we can fix this. Together." Celestia looked down, contemplating Luna's words, till she said the last one. Together. Narrator:"She had been told that word so many times, and it always meant Luna stole the show. Maybe she didn't mean to, but it always happened anyway, and Celestia was tired of it." She looked up, and her eyes flashed with anger.
"No. I've had enough of "together". It's time for everyone to finally notice me." Celestia stated as her crown glowed, while the sun moved to its highest point. "Now hand over your crown. Your reign ends today." "You know I can't do that, the legends say, "Ensure the balance of moon and sun, and the sun and the moon cannot be one." The powers we have must be equal!" "I don't care what the legends say! It's time I get what I deserve." Luna's face fell at her words. "Please, don't do this-" "NO! I'll tell you what will happen, since you can't seem to accept it; Everyone will know that I am the bringer of the day, which will be eternal day. I will get rid of you, your husband, and your blasted daughter! And lastly, your crown, will, be, MINE!" Narrator: "As Celestia spoke, black seeped into the sun on her crown, then traveled down her hair, leaving black streaks, then to her dress, changing the shimmering white to, you guessed it, black.
Then, she formed a ball of magic fire between her hands, and threw it at Luna. But Luna saw it coming, and ran back through the glass door, entering the castle." "You can run, but you can't hide!" Celestia taunted as Luna ran through the hall, decked in beautiful sun and moon tapestries, to her room. It was very elegant; a large bed with a shimmery blue canopy, and a window looked down onto the bustling city. A vanity sat in the corner next to a closet. Luna ran to the vanity and pulled a quill, ink, and a piece of paper out of a drawer, and began furiously writing. At the end, it said:
With love,
Princess Luna
But she ripped off her name, unclasped her necklace, and wedged the torn off paper with her name in between the setting and the opal. Then, she clasped her hands around it, closed her eyes, and light shone through her fingers, then faded away. Then, she took out a smaller piece of paper, and wrote something else. She held the necklace and the paper together, and the paper evaporated in sparkles. A voice sounded outside the door. "Tsk tsk, what a silly place to hide." Luna was frightened, but she grabbed a cloak out of the closet, closed her eyes, and evaporated in sparkles. We see her in a new room, which is the nursery. A man, dressed in royal attire, is holding a baby. "What happened? The sun..." he asks. "I can't explain much now, but Celestia has been overcome by strange magic. She's coming after us, and I have to get our daughter to safety. She may be our only hope." The man nods, barely understanding, but hands the baby to Luna. She gave him a sad smile, kissed her husband, and evaporated again in sparkles.
Narrator: "This time, Luna-ugg. I have a name you know." "Sorry."
Jacob: "This time, Luna appears in the palace stable, where she mounts a black horse, and rode full speed through the pretty, but busy streets. Eventually, she reached two shops squished together. On the left, there was a pleasant bakery in shades of pink and white, with delicious pies, cakes, cookies and candy leaving a sweet aroma around the shop. On the right was a rough blacksmiths shop, with an assortment of swords, pots, daggers, and even jewelry. And oddly, a wooden second story was built on top of the shops, making quite an interesting house.
Then, Luna dismounted the horse, and laid her daughter on the porch. Then, she set the necklace and note beside her, and knocked on the door. Immediately after knocking, she ran towards her horse, and evapo-couldn't you change it up this time? Luna has evaporated three times already, and so has her paper." "How about... vanished in stardust?" Jacob: "Eh, okay. Immediately after knocking, she ran towards her horse, and vanished in stardust, never to be seen ever again." "That last part isn't in the script. We were supposed to tell them she died in the next paragraph." Jacob: "I didn't exactly say she died." "Well, it just implies she-sigh, never mind. Just keep going."
Jacob: "Soon after, Celestia killed Luna and her husband. But try as she might, Celestia couldn't find the Crown of the Moon or Luna's' daughter. She vowed one day, she would find the crown, and destroy the princess. Celestia tried to prevent the citizens from discovering the princess was still living, but it still became a rumor the dubbed "lost princess" would bring back the night."
