take it

Summary:

david let his excitement at angel coming home get the better of him a little

Notes:

this is only my second or third time ever writing anything erotic since im more of a fluff person, but this felt exciting so bear with me if the style gets a little confusing; i dont have a beta unfortunately

keep in mind before reading that you read the tags once again like my previous davey fic since this isnt shallow smut, its more of pure erotica with a splash of love and fluff since these two are cute little idiots

and also, this fic is actually the "night before" of one of david's audios: "sleepy morning cuddles with your tsundere werewolf boyfriend" its one of my favorites

hope you enjoy

Chapter 1: landed

Chapter Text

angel stepped out of her plane and finally took a breath of fresh air. it was amazing. after a twelve-hour flight from the east all the way to dahlia, she needed a breath. because business trips always sucked.

it did feel better knowing that it wasn't just any air, it was dahlia's. her home.

angel smiled after a sigh, walking down the stairs all the way to the concrete walkway. she was escorted along with an ocean of people to the airport's landing terminal.

entering the glass doors, a wave of cold air flushed against angel's face. it tickled her nose a little. it didn't even take her a minute to see that dahlia airports are extremely extravagant. it was a wonder her job could afford a ticket to a flight back here, much less one with a business class. it must have cost thousands to get a whole department to and from the east.

angel blew on her palms, lost in thought. it took her a while to realize she was about to miss her suitcase and string bag as they rolled around the conveyor belt. she quickly snatched both before they had to cycle through the airport's system again. with the speed she ran and moved, it stirred her head into a migraine.

she winced at the sharp pain. it must be the jet lag, she thought. massaging her skull, she opened her leather drawstring and fished for her phone as she walked with her suitcase to the next terminal. she had to text david that she landed. he always felt iffy with planes, so she had to reassure him it'll be okay. turning it on, four notifications slid up on the lock screen.

two were from her group chat with milo and asher's mates,

ultra secret 🐺🐺🐺

sweetheart💃 : karaoke 2mrw?? angels gon land 2day
baabe🐑 : Not sure, I'll check with Ash if we have plans. 🤔

and, a contact angel was surprised to see, was:

davey 💘💖💝💝💗✨✨💕💕💖💝💘

i'm here at terminal B
text me when you land

angel stopped on her tracks, blinking at the message. he was at the airport? she stumbled slightly, almost dropping her bag on the glossy floor.

why was he here? she wanted to see him immediately, obviously, he was the only person she couldn't stop thinking about for weeks. but how was he here? it was literally three in the morning, he doesn't stay up for that long. not on weekdays, at least. she didn't even know how to react. no one ever did this to her before.

in a second, angel was pushed to a rush, gathering her things and making a run for Terminal B. she didn't bother texting him, she could locate his tall frame anywhere. he stuck out among any crowd.

it took a few tries finding the place; she had to ask around the staff and stewardesses what was what and where were all the terminals, but in a span of five minutes, she finally arrived. a black sign hung from the ceiling with white text printed onto its smooth surface.

'TERMINAL B'

where was he, where was he, she asked to herself. she was scanning the crowd left and right, looking for the same well-kept hair she knew all too well. she didn't find that though. what she found instead was a messy, dark brown bed head, whose eyes strangely resembled the ones that belonged to the love of her life. did he just wake up from a nap?

angel approached the tall man and tugged his coat's sleeve. he turned around with a scowl in his expression.

yep. it was definitely david.

"i thought i told you to text me when you land." david said, a firm tone in his voice with his jaw clenched like steel. his eyes literally shot daggers at her; normal watchers would have thought he was about to kill her on the spot. but angel was unbothered as per usual.

cranking her head up to face his frown, she grinned at him cheekily. "i thought you'd be asleep!" he was only silent as he picked up angel's suitcase and string bag, walking away with long and slow strides. but because he was as tall as a street pole, he already made a good distance from angel with just a few steps.

it took her a minute to catch up, jogging her way to him. "no, but seriously. why are you here?"

david's squinted as he faced angel, a frown in his features. "am i not allowed to be here?" he asked bluntly. angel rolled her eyes at him and gently tapped his arm. "you know what i mean, davey. you're not usually awake at this hour."

david only shrugged wordlessly, keeping his gaze away from hers. "if you thought i needed someone to pick me up, i could have gotten a cab. you know i don't want to bother you." she babbled.

as they walked, david's features never moved. he even looked a little content, even though she thought she was annoying him. he only started looking frustrated once she started pestering him about why he came.

he grumbled and looked away for a few moments, until he eventually hooked his elbow around her arm, string bag at hand. he silently mumbled at her, still keeping his eyes away.

"i just… wanted to see you." he whispered. angel snapped her stare at his face, which was still blank and expressionless. "do you…" he paused.

"do you not want me here?" when david finally looked at angel, she thought he resembled a sad puppy. she was a horrible person. how could she do this to him? she shook her head almost immediately, her vigorous movement causing david to stop walking. he looked at her with confusion, which she found even more adorable.

"no! i mean— i mean, yes, i want you here!" she stuttered. david's eyebrows joined even more. "i was just… surprised, y'know?" she said. he tilted his head.

"i didn't expect you to be here. i haven't had someone do something like this." angel confessed, earning a wide-eyed stare from the tall man in front of her.

david reached for her and pulled her body against him, holding tight. "of course i would be here," he leaned down, sealing his words with a kiss. angel melted into it in a heartbeat. wrapping her arms around his neck, he pulled away and rested his forehead against hers. "i wouldn't miss you arriving home; never in a million years. you know that."

the sincerity behind the statement almost made angel cry, but she would be lying if she said she didn't tear up a little.

he was so warm around her.

"now, enough with the mushy shit. come on, let's go home." he offered, reaching out his open palm. "i parked the car not too far from here." angel quickly wrapped her fingers around his much bigger hand and let him lead her out the building with swift grace.

she couldn't look away from him the entire drive back to their place. he was just so pretty. he even managed to be prettier than her in the morning sometimes. how was that even possible?

it was no doubt that david was good-looking. everything about his face proved that fact. his sharp eyes, his dark lashes, his nose, his smile? god, angel swore she almost fainted when he turned around and confronted her that day they met. not to mention, he was a giant. until now, she still didn’t know how tall he really was. her full height didn’t even reach close to his shoulders. she guessed he was about six-foot-eight, but then again, every other member from his pack was about six-foot-even overall but even they weren't that close to david’s full height.

angel spent time wondering about david’s height when she didn’t even realize she was already being nudged inside their house. she blinked, finally feeling the familiar space around her.

the velvet couch, the big t.v., the fluffy carpets, the ten-foot ceilings… she was home. running around squealing, she jumped onto the soft sofa. she sunk into the cloth easily. “take off your shoes and take a shower. you need to change.” david said from the other room. she whined in response, which he shouldn’t have been able to hear, but he did. “don’t give me that shit. change. now.” he stressed.

angel rolled her eyes as she stood up from the seats. “are you just trying to call me smelly?” she exclaimed. she heard him click his tongue, “i don’t hear you showering.” he yelled back. he sounded so annoyed.

this earned a laugh from angel. boy, did she miss him. she would choose to hear him nagging her over another group meeting any day. when she finally stood up, she headed for their bedroom to shower. inside, she found david unpacking her clothes. “i gave you the green towel inside. it should be hanging by the shower curtain.” he mumbled. she couldn’t help herself with the sight.

disobeying him one last time, she walked over to him and kissed his cheek on her tip-toes. he paused at the unpacking. “i love you.” she said.

just then, david’s gaze softened at her. he let go of her shirt and pulled her body closer, lifting her from the ground. “i love you too.” he replied, pressing his lips on hers a little deeper than the one he gave her at the airport.

they stayed like that for a while; holding each other close, living in each other’s space, giving each other pecks every so often, it was the most comfortable angel has felt since she left for her business trip. forget the soft couch, she said to herself. david carrying her in his arms was enough to put her to sleep.

after a while, his face slowly went back to a scowl. the scowl she madly fell for somehow.

he huffed, putting her back down on her feet as gently as he could manage. “now, shower. you need to get to bed.” angel beamed, nodding at him and darting for the bathroom, slamming the door shut. as much as she wanted to touch him and feel him up some more, she was really already so sleepy.

she thought about responding to her secret group chat with sweetheart and baabe, but once she sank into the bathtub, nothing could get through to her then.

before she closed her eyes, she relaxed her shoulders, and started daydreaming for the first time in weeks.
