Chapter Text
Tommy woke up drenched in sweat, still a bit stuck in his head that he didn't notice the lack of aching in his body, ringing in his head, and old scars littering and pulling his body.
"Wake up..."
Snapping out of his daze, Tommy felt the soft mattress under him, finally noticing his surroundings, this wasn't his little dirt shack nor his friend's guest room, which means--
Tommy's heart leapt out of his mouth and summoned his axe.
Whoever was his kidnapper was trash at their job, didn't even shackle him, Tommy could kidnap people better, maybe he should try being a kidnapper, he got experience, even if said experience is being the kidnapped.
That aside, where is he? Tommy silently trekked the hallways, he noticed that even if its dark, the whole place screams homey and lovely home, potted plants and pastel wallpapers... Nothing like a place you would put your kidnapped in.
What may have been 30 seconds of walking felt like 30 minutes in Tommy's head as he reached what seems to be a kitchen, Tommy then saw the window near the fridge, dark sky, street, and a line of houses just outside.
Freedom!
Tommy quietly opened the window and looked down, thankfully its only just a few floors from the ground, there's a convenient tree nearby too.
About to jump, his stomach growled, Tommy halts and looks at the fridge just behind him, shrugging Tommy opened the fridge, so what if he steals some food? Consider it as a payment for kidnapping him.
"Toms?"
Tommy whipped around, an apple in his mouth, eyes widening, body recognizing the owner of the voice before his mind could react.
Wilbur, his brother Wilbur, his supposed to be 6 feet under brother stood there in glory, "...Wil?"
"Shh! Toms, I know I said last time was the last time, but could you keep this time a secret too?" Wilbur whispered but Tommy's mind is still loading.
Wilbur grew restless at his younger brother's silence, an apple in his mouth, blue eyes staring wide at him, bed hair and in comfy pj's, it was very cute but he gotta party tonight.
"Come on Toms, or I'll tell phil that you ditched school last tuesday."
Tommy was still processing, the apple in his mouth dropping causing him and Wilbur breaking eye contact.
"Toms--"
"I- uh-- gotta go and murder some mosquitos outside!"
Tommy did defenestration on himself, his brother confused by what he said didnt even have time to react as Tommy catch himself on the tree's branch, Wilbur rushed to the window and sigh in relief seeing Tommy hanging by the tree branch before going pale again by the fact that Tommy was hanging by the tree branch meters from the ground!
"Tommy!"
Wilbur had experienced continues shocks he nearly fainted, Tommy has just jumped down from the tree, surprisingly and thankfully not injured as he landed and ran away.
FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! Am I hallucinating again?! Wilbur's alive? How? When? Where am I? The fuck is happening?
Tommy just ran, not paying attention where he's going, a distant call of his name behind him. Tommy had started crying in confusion, the tears blocking his eyes he didnt notice he ran straight into a pole.
Tommy is momentarily knocked out.
And Wilbur who was chasing him suffered another heart attack.

.
Tommy woke up in a giant hand, a manly scream broke out of his mouth as he looked up.
Holding him is a humongous figure filled with galaxies and stars, looking ethereal.
"Hello Tommy."
"W-who are you?"
"I'm a god."
"Yeah you do look like one."
"Thank you."
"..."
"..."
"So... Am I dead?"
"It's not your time yet."
"Why am I here then?"
"To tell you that you aren't in Esemppe anymore."
"Huh?"
"A mistake on our part caused a tear in reality allowed your soul to bypass the barrier of parallels, your soul fused with your parallel, gaining their body and memories."
"...can I go back?"
"No."
"Why?"
"The tear has already been mended by the time we noticed your soul, opening it will cause a corruption between two parallels."
Tommy sighed and flopped down, running a hand through his face.
A silence settled between the two, Tommy didn't hear the constant ringing in his head nor the smell of gunpowder. It felt foreign... Its like being in a brightly lit room after being in the dark for so long.
"You don't blame us?"
"Been there, done that, blame doesn't really take you anywhere..."
The corpses, wicked smiles, tears and... Yeah blaming only makes everything worse.
The being let out a hum, they thought for a bit before letting out a sound like they thought of something brilliant.
It didn't go unnoticed by Tommy, he sat from his position and looked up to the being.
"What's up big... Big being?"
"We're called by many names, that's quite the original... Well We thought to gave you a compensation, a wish if you may, what would you like?"
Tommy was shocked by the offer, you can't blame him tho, the gods he have met so far care little to nothing about the mistakes they've made and its consequences, ignorant to the human fragility.
Might as well take advantage of it no?
"Can you make me forget all my bad memories then? Make all my trauma poofed?" Tommy excitedly asked, eyes sparkling and shining, the being nearly wanted to give him immediately what he want, which was a weird and foreign phenomenon to the being.
"Ah, apologies, even that I can't grant, tampering with a mortal soul's memories is highly dangerous, as unfortunate as those memories are it is the anchor that keeps the soul from fading out of existence, I have seen your life, I would hate for it to be in vain."
While Tommy would like to say fuck it Im tired Im done let me die, he wouldn't have fought so hard to survive if he cant even last till he can be called an old man like Phil.
Tommy groaned, a bit annoyed and frustrated, but it did further his thought that this god cared enough instead of just giving Tommy what he wants even with the danger to just end having to deal with a mortal due to their mistake.
Sighing, Tommy reached for his pocket and remembered he wasn't in his barely adult body anymore and was in a not traumatized and clearly loved version of him, which sucked in many ways including not having Wilbur's coat, and the packets of cigarettes in its pockets.
Everything is making Tommy's mind hurt more than usual, he needs a puff, he needs the relief it gave him during stressful moments, this is probably the reason Wilbur got into smoking in Pogtopia, while the smell obviously being bad for health, it also became Tommy's coping mechanisms.
"...How about giving me some cigarettes? And a lighter too I guess, that's all I need right now."
The being was quiet, asking in a strange voice "Are you sure?" Tommy let out a tired affirmation.
He then felt something drop on him, he stared at the golden box with strange patterns, shaking it, a cig came out of the left hole corner, and its bottom being a built in lighter.
"We made it so that thing is unlimited and will return to you if lost, we have also removed its negative effects while retaining the effects you like." Tommy didn't know if his ears was playing tricks on him but he could almost hear the being proudly presenting.
And he's not even gonna ask how, why, Tommy just lit one and just smiled at the being.
"Pog."
.....
"Tommy? Toms? God's what the hell is happening?" Wilbur had tears threatening to spill from his eyes, he arrived next to his unconscious brother, Tommy's forehead having a reddish bump.
Wilbur winced at that and gathered Tommy in his arms, about to take off back to their house when the boy in his arms stirred.
"Wi--"
"Tommy! You're alive! Why did you do that?! Are you hurting anywhere?!"
"My ears is hurting, tone it down will you? You're making my head hurt." Tommy hissed and wiggled to get down from his brothers embrace even if a voice in the back of his head whined.
As much as Tommy missed Wilbur he still kinda hated the man even though he have already forgiven him long ago... Feelings are complicated ok?
"Toms you fucking ran into a pole and was unconscious for a few minutes!" Wilbur nearly went bald from all the worry for his dear precious brother, what just happened? Is he the cause his brother acted so strangely?
"Don't make it such a big deal, go to that shit you're supposed to snuck out to."
Tommy won't tell anyone how he felt warm by the concern this version of his brother showed, something he did not feel in quite some time.
"I don't think I can now Toms... Let's go home, we need to check on that... Phil's gonna kill me." He points at the bump in the teen's forehead and grabbed Tommy's in fear of the boy running off again.
Tommy couldn't help the flashbacks of Pogtopia appear in his head, but thankfully the grip was meanwhile tight, it was gentle and reassuring.
Reminding him of the time before everything turned to shit.
Well isn't that the situation here then? There were no wars nor battles no deaths, Tommy hope his bad luck didn't follow him...
