Work Text:
Ignis always loved experimenting with new recipes. Especially whenever they brought a smile to Noctis’s face. That was, in Ignis’s eyes, the closest he would ever get to Noctis saying “I love you.”
Sometimes, Ignis would turn to the Citadel library in search of something different. There were plenty of old books with recipes lost to history.
His recent find was supposedly written by a witch that included chapters for undetectable poisons and near permanent sleep. The chapter that had intrigued Ignis was one that created aphrodisiacs. What was most interesting was that the ingredients were all easily obtained but the book claimed that by mixing them in a certain way, the desired results would be obtained.
Ignis got the book as a laugh. He never thought that any of the recipes would actually work. Especially after the first four didn’t. They were all delicious and appreciated by Noctis, but certainly not as claimed. No heightened sexual energy, just a tasty dessert.
The fifth one, however, was the one that proved to work, much to Ignis’s chagrin. They were raspberry petit fours and as always, Ignis tried one to be sure it was something Noctis might like before plating them to take to his apartment later.
Before he could finish getting ready to head over, Ignis suddenly found himself very aroused and very much in need of a cold shower. Confused, but not ready to accept that the recipe had worked, Ignis continued getting ready. It soon became apparent that he was not going out. Any light touch on his cock sent waves of pleasure through him. He could only mitigate it by remaining nude and basically not moving.
When he called Noctis to say he would not be coming over that evening and apologizing, he almost couldn’t get through the conversation. Noctis’s voice had always done things to him but this time it actually DID THINGS to him. Ignis quickly got off the phone and immediately jerked himself off where he stood.
The next morning, he had to call off work and he buried himself in the internet, trying to find out how to reverse the effects. The recipe book was no help and he looked up the author to see if there were any other books she’d written and nothing could be found.
He was miserable and he didn’t know how long he could keep friends and family at bay. His uncle wanted to bring him food and Noctis wanted to be sure he was taking care of himself.
Ignis could at least assure Noctis he was taking care of himself, just not in the way intended in the question.
Sleep only came because of exhaustion. Food was possible only because Gladio had dropped off several Cup Noodles the last time he was ill and didn’t feel like cooking.
By day three, Ignis was ready to die. He was positive nothing would give him the needed release. He was tired and his dick felt raw. His toys were on the verge of no longer being effective for him.
Then, the worst thing happened. Noctis let himself into the apartment.
“Specs! Where are you?”
Go away, Ignis begged in his mind. Just hearing Noctis’s voice spiked his arousal, he dreaded to think what seeing him would do.
There was nothing he could do. There wasn’t enough time for Ignis to even try to cover himself before Noctis was turning into his room.
“Oh, shit!” Noctis exclaimed, quickly stepping out. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”
Knowing he’d been caught, hearing his prince’s voice, and seeing his prince’s face brought him to instant orgasm. The most fulfilling one since he hung up that first phone call with Noctis. He couldn’t even help moaning Noctis’s name as he came.
He had no way to know how long the reprieve would be, but he pulled a sheet over himself and curled into a ball. Ashamed and embarrassed.
“You, uh, you okay, Specs?” Noctis asked, timidly. Ignis could tell he had stepped back into the room despite facing away from the door.
“Do I seem okay?” Ignis replied quietly. He was so tired.
A silence lingered for several minutes when Noctis said, “One of the recipes worked, didn’t it?”
“Yesssssssss.” The reprieve was too short and Noctis’s proximity was making everything worse. He tried so hard not to grab himself with Noctis there.
But then there was a dip on the bed and Noctis was RIGHT THERE.
“Noct,” Ignis breathed. Caught somewhere between asking him to leave and asking him to join.
“Let me help?” Noctis asked, turning Ignis’s head so they could look at each other. Ignis was ashamed at how he leaned into Noctis’s touch and how deeply he breathed in his scent. All protests died when the prince’s thumb lightly rubbed against his cheekbone.
“I regret to say that I had hoped one would work,” Noctis said, turning his head. “But I didn’t want it to be on you. I wanted it on me so that I could beg you for help. I thought it’d be the only way I’d ever have the courage too…”
That confession was all Ignis needed. Immediately, he was sitting up, grabbing Noctis’s face, and smashing their lips together. Not graceful, smooth, and a lot more painful than he would have liked their first kiss to be, but he didn’t care.
“You have no idea what you do to me,” Ignis said.
“Yeah?” Noctis grinned and soon they were both working on getting Noctis out of his clothes.
Within moments, Noctis had grabbed the lube he spotted next to Ignis’s toys and started working himself open. “Unless you’d rather bottom,” he said between kisses.
“Astrals, no,” Ignis replied. “Right now, I just want to feel you.”
“Good,” Noctis grinned as he deemed himself ready. Ignis quickly pulled a condom from his bedside table and slid it on before Noctis could.
“Safety,” was his response to the look Noctis gave him.
“You said you wanted to feel me,” he pouted.
“We know nothing our each other’s sexual history. Safety.”
The grin returned. “Safety is sexy,” Noctis said, kissing Ignis deeply before sliding down. “Gods, you feel so good.”
Even if Ignis wanted to convince himself Noctis was just being nice, he could not deny the moan or the look of pure ecstasy on Noctis as he slowly seated himself.
It was difficult to not go hard and fast as soon as Noctis was situated. Ignis wanted that immediate release but his love and concern for the man with him trumped anything the aphrodisiac was doing. He only started moving when Noctis gave the okay and they were soon meeting each other thrust for thrust.
“You first,” Noctis panted. “You come first.”
As if it was all Ignis needed to hear, he immediately climaxed. He screamed in ecstasy, shouting Noctis’s name like a prayer, and surely leaving bruises where his hands gripped the prince’s hips. It felt so good and so perfect that he briefly blacked out, completely unaware that Noctis followed almost immediately. He tried to ask if Noctis was okay, but sleep overtook him. The last thing he remembered was Noctis whispering for him to rest.
And so, Ignis did.
Night had fallen when Ignis woke up again. His room was dark and empty. He couldn’t help but wonder if it had all been a dream. When he turned on his lamp, he knew it couldn’t have been. The mess that had taken over his bedroom the last couple of days was mostly gone and there was a glass of water sitting on the table.
Smiling, he drank the water and pulled on a pair of pajama pants that Noctis had laid over the foot of his bed. It felt good to be able to wear clothing.
“How are you feeling?” Noctis asked as he came out of the bedroom.
“Normal,” Ignis replied. “Or mostly so.”
“Good,” he smiled. “I’m glad.”
“You didn’t have to pick up my apartment,” Ignis said as he joined Noctis on the couch. “But I thank you.”
“I was bored,” Noctis shrugged. “Besides, it’s not like you haven’t cleaned my apartment a million times over. I also ordered from that burger place you like, they should be delivering in a half hour or so.”
“Thank you.”
A silence fell, but it wasn’t awkward. It was a comfortable silence as Noctis leaned into Ignis’s body and Ignis draped an arm around his shoulder.
“Had you secretly hoped one of those recipes would work?” Noctis asked, looking up at Ignis.
He shook his head. “Not at all. But I am highly amused that you did. I thought I knew everything about you and yet I did not see that you returned my affections.”
“Maybe you convinced yourself it would never happen and ignored the signs.”
“Oh?” Ignis cocked an eyebrow, fascinated at the thought process.
Noctis blushed and looked away. “That’s what Prompto thought about me. He swore he could tell you were into me and I just didn’t believe it.”
“Oh…” He wasn’t sure he liked that Prompto could tell his affections for his prince.
“Don’t worry,” Noctis said, as if reading Ignis’s thoughts. “He only saw it because he looks for certain things when he takes pictures. He tried showing me all the pics he had of us two, pointing out the clear love we had for each other and I just didn’t see it. I do not look forward to his gloating that he was right.”
Ignis laughed. “Let him gloat. Let him have the distinction of seeing us before we did. Either way, we still found each other. Even if I wish the circumstances were less embarrassing.”
“Yeah, okay,” Noctis agreed. He then blushed a little more. “Is it…is it okay that I kiss you now?”
“Noct, you can kiss me whenever and wherever you want.”
It was Noctis’s turn to laugh. “You may regret you said that,” was all he said as he pulled himself level to meet Ignis’s lips.
“I highly doubt it,” Ignis said between kisses. “I highly doubt it.”
