Chapter Text
Jisung gets a text message at 2 AM,
Minseok ☻
Wanna cme to mine??
Who was Jisung to say no. He shoots Minseok a quick sure and gets his car keys.
Jisung wouldn’t say he’s dating Minseok, more like friends with benefits, and he hates this habit of his. Whenever he thinks he’s fine, Mikseok comes back with a text that isn’t spelt right and Jisung will crawl back to him, knees scraping against the pavement. As if Minseok was safe and wouldn’t cause heartache. He wasn’t worthless, but he comes back.
Jisung pulls on the brakes, stopping in front of Minseok’s crappy apartment, and buzzing him in. Minseok immediately let him in, hearing the door unlock as if a warning song. He went agonizingly slow, the light of the bottom shined when he pressed it, signalling the elevators to come to him. He steps into the box, feeling claustrophobic, ignoring the feeling. He waits a short minute, before there is a ding and he steps off, going to Minseok’s apartment.
He knocks on the door, it opened before he could get through with the third knock. A hand reaches for his collar, harshly dragging him inside, the door shut as fast as it opened, and Jisung’s back pained him from getting slammed into it. He couldn’t make a sound though, any noise he could have made was silenced by Minseok’s lips crashing into his. Jisung shouldn’t be surprised as he was, however, the roughness always gets rougher leaving him speechless and bruised all over. He closes his eyes, falling into the same rhythm as the older. He willingly gets dragged to the bedroom and willingly gets thrown onto the bed, just so it could feel as though he’s suffocating as a palm shoves his face into the mattress, feeling his jeans getting ripped off. He hissed into sheets, feeling something cold against his thighs before moaning in pain, Minseok was always impatient, and Jisung always could take it. A reason why Minseok came back to Jisung.
He rocked from a push and mouth opening to reveal soundless gasps. The pace got faster and although he could not see, it seems as if a galaxy of stars came to him, his eyes started to roll, and then he was jostled over, seeing the ceiling, LED lights turned blue.
“You want a joint?” He asks, lighting one as he continued to thrust into Jisung. The younger nods, taking it before inhaling largely, he gives it back to Minseok, breathing in more until he couldn’t possibly take in more, letting out the continuous line of smoke, he’s even surprised how much came out, already beginning to hold his breath so his coughing fit wasn’t as big. Smoke was blown into his face as he just passed his fit, the joint getting placed back into his mouth, he inhales more, legs started to become jelly, from the sex or weed, he wasn’t exactly sure. He blew out, an equally large puff, and he decides he wants to be fucked up.
He feels as though Minseok is becoming more desperate, the hands that lay on his hips began to dig into his skin, making crescent indents into him. Jisung could feel it too, wanting more, he grips into the sheets, arching his back to release against his chest, Minseok who covered him in white as well.
Jisung breathed heavily, closing his eyes, growing tired.
“You can wash up first, I have a thing in the morning so,” Minseok trailed off, when they first started, he made actual excuses, ‘I have a class in the morning’, ‘My mom is coming in the morning, and I’m not exactly out.’ Jisung could care less, he’s just grateful that he lets him shower before kicking him out. He gets up, lugging himself to the shower.
When he gets out, he’s wearing the sweatpants and sweater he arrived in, as if nothing happened. He catches Minseoks' eye before he leaves so he waves goodbye.
He doesn’t wake up in the morning, instead, sleeping in until 3 PM. His eyes blinked open, going for the phone that laid beside him.
Hyunjin (o_O) ?
A re we still on tonight?
Hyunjin sent in his group chat. It was composed of five people including him, Hyunjin, Changbin, Chan and Minseok.
Minseok ☻
Of course we are!
Jisung feels awful,
Jisungie <3
Sure
Chan-Hyung (Father??)
Yepp, at Rockie's, right?
Changbin was nowhere to be found, of course, always muting the group chat but somehow always knowing where to be and when.
An hour goes by with silence before
Changbin (^з^)
is it fine if i were to bring a friend
his names minho
Chan-Hyung (Father??)
Fine by me
The rest of the messages were of confirmations, and the other hour goes by just as fast.
He looks at the time, having two hours before he has to leave. His legs were still sore but he didn't care that much. Briefly wondering if he should have a shower since he had one at two. He decided against that, hot water was expensive.
He gets there ten minutes early, Changbin walking in five minutes after, Minho in tow. They were at a sushi place downtown close to their campus. It was a little bit more expensive but it's not like they go out every day. A treat is in order for getting through midterms.
Jisung stood up when they approached, "Hello," he greeted, "my name is Jisung, you must be Minho?"
Minho nodded, his orange hair was striking to Jisung, making him a bit speechless. He sat back down, as they waited for the rest of their group to come. Way to make things awkward.
Hyunjin comes in with Chan already half drunk, it's gonna be that kind of night, Chan laughed as he stumbled over, Minseok coming in right after. From the way that everyone is sitting, Minho ends up right beside Jisung, in most cases, Chan or Minseok are beside him, but for some reason, he doesn't mind.
As usual, they order too much sushi, getting too many different kinds, salmon, tuna, philadelphia rolls, you name it, their table started to disappear.
"Let us be fatties today," Hyunjin hiccuped, "we made it another midterm." Jisung laughs, rolling his eyes, not even sure what he was trying to say but understanding the concept.
"So," Minho started, looking towards Jisung, "what's your major?"
"Film, yours?"
"Dance."
"That's really cool, are you doing that festival thing? It's for the art program like those courses, singing, dancing."
"Nah," Minho told, leaning back, "I'm too busy being a backup dancer for BTS."
"Holy shit, no way?"
"Truth, I used to, when I lived in Korea, not anymore, the festival thing is for people to have good resumes, I already have the best resume so I decided to be nice for once and let some other person take my spot."
"That and laziness?" Jisung questioned with a slight slyness to his voice.
"You saw straight through me."
Jisung leaned in towards him to laugh, an unknowing thing he did.
"Someone's getting chatty?" Minseok commented, looking towards the two of them. Jisung immediately stopped, sensing the tension.
"Am I not supposed to talk to him?" Minho retorted.
Even Chan and Changbin felt awkward, Changbin coughing into his arm, making eyes at Chan while doing so.
"No, I'm just not surprised."
Minho blinked a few times, trying to make sense of what he was saying. Jisung shoves another sushi piece in his mouth, chewing on it, trying not to say anything.
"Whatever, I'm going for a smoke, Jisungie, wanna come?" Would it be awkward for him to say no?
"Sure," he says, getting up, jumping over Minho to get to Minseok.
"What was that?" Jisung asked, watching Minseok struggle to light his joint because of the wind.
"What was what?" He asked once he successfully lit it, inhaling it before giving it to Jisung. Jisung held it in his mouth and gave it back, he didn't want to smoke.
"That, inside? Someone's getting chatty," Jisung quotes, rolling his eyes in disappointment as he leaned against the brick wall.
"It was nothing, don't make it something."
"Whatever you say," Jisung mumbles, looking down. The streets were dirty, and he was pretty sure there was a crazy guy across the street, but it's Toronto so he is used to it.
"Don't be mad," Minseok said.
"I'm not, just confused."
Minseok sighs before burning out the joint, "let's go back inside."
Jisung was going to take his place next to Minho but Minseok had other plans, "Changbin, could you move next to Minho, don't make him feel awkward man." So Jisung sat next to Minseok, and he felt so isolated.
He picks at the table while simultaneously throwing more sushi rolls in his mouth, stomach beginning to hurt from how much he ate. Putting down his chopsticks, he finally noticed Minho's gaze on him. It was filled with confusion and worry, for some odd reason.
They split the bill, all heading different ways, Minseok, Minho and Jisung were walking the same way, an awkward silence enveloping them,
"Our anniversary is coming up, baby," Minseok suddenly asked out of nowhere, Jisung stopped, getting pulled by the arm.
"What?"
"Our anniversary, it's coming up, don't tell me you forgot again?" He continued as if Jisung knew what he was talking about. Would it be awkward if he were to say no? So he said nothing.
"I didn't know you guys were dating," Minho intervened, watching the two. Jisung should speak up now, but he couldn't, he didn't know why, and he didn't know why he never hated Minseok so much for saying this in front of Minho.
"We've been for three years," Minseok spoke, his arm going around Jisung's shoulders, pulling him in. Minho didn't say anything before stopping,
"This is me," he told, waving goodbye the two continue to walk, leaving Minho at the bus stop.
"What the fuck," Jisung finally exclaimed, throwing the arm off him, he stared at him as if he could telepathically explode his head.
"Look, Minho gave me a weird vibe, seemed that he liked you," he explained, pulling an arm around him once again,
"I don't see how that concerns you." He stands defence tall, keeping his head high so it does not fall. He’s starting to fear looking down.
”I’m just looking out for you," Minseok talked about Minho and Jisung, and now he was at his home,
"It's my stop, I should," Jisung said, trailing off, weakly gesturing towards the apartment building, he waved before letting his hand fall to his side to walk inside, letting himself into his home.
Falling onto his bed, he finally checks his phone, pulling it out of his pocket, flipping his phone within his hands to have his phone be facing the right way, it immedietly lights up, illuminating his face of blue, a notification from an unknown number is shown at the bottom of the screen.
xxx-xxx-8721
Hi, it's Minho, I got your number from Changbin, but what was up with Minseok?
Are you really dating?
Jisungie <3
No
omg
Idk why he said that
Minho ┐(´д`)┌
That's weird right?
Jisungie <3
Yeah
I'll talk to him about that
probably
Minho ┐(´д`)┌
You should
It's concerning
Jisung felt his heart skip, Minho is concerned for him? For Jisung? His mood is immediately darkened when Minseok's name comes onto his screen. He looks at the text,
Minseok ☻
Sory about today actually
i rlly did get bad vibs from Minho
Jisung left him on read, throwing his phone on his table to get ready for his job. He gets his uniform on, which is a simple black dress shirt and black pants, getting his apron and throwing it into his car. If it wasn't obvious from the pens in his apron accompanied by a small notebook and a lighter, he's a waiter. He leaned into the car seat, legs implanted into the pavement, trying to find the cord so he could plug his phone into the car, music immediately blaring, making him flinch and hit his way on the way out. He dropped his phone, landing on the seat, gripping his head in pain.
"Fuck," he cursed underneath his breath, trying to soothe it. Once the pain subsided, he got back into the car, fully going into the car, putting his seatbelt on, turning the volume down.
He started to drive, finding himself in front of his restaurant. It was going to be quiet, he already knew this, a gut feeling.
Just before he signed in though, after he got ready, tying his apron to his waist, flattening his shirt one last time, his phone rang with a buzzing noise.
Chan-Hyung (Father??)
So, there's a party tomorrow
I know, short notice
so don't be too pressured in coming
don't want to make you uncomfortable
Jisungie <3
who's coming ?
Chan-Hyung (Father??)
Hyunjin, Changbin, Minseok, the whole group ig,
did you want more names?
I think people will start to show up around 8:30
and its at Yeonjun's place
Jisungie <3
No
I'll see how I feel tomorrow
I'll show up, hopefully
Jisung shoved his phone into his pocket, finally signing into the computer, immediately going to the host desk to see the reservations.
Four.
There were four reservations, three servers. He's going cry, the deadness that's going to be. Think about the paycheck.
...
"Okay, you can leave when you want too," his manager said, Jisung automatically racing towards the computer to input his code, pressing the sign out button.
Minseok ☻
cme over after work??
Convenient.
Jisungie <3
Just got out
Minseok ☻
Good
Jisung entered his car once again.
Minseok ☻
What
Got another person to do?
Jisungie <3
no
Minseok ☻
Okay
then come
Got nothing else to do
Jisung, with a heavy heart, turns a different direction instead of home.
...
Jisung panted as he collapsed onto the bed, rolling onto his bed, eyes closing from fatigue.
"Rough night?" Minseok asked, leaning his head on his hand, looking down at Jisung beside him on the bed.
Jisung hummed, getting up.
"Come to the party tomorrow, I'll be there," Minseok told, watching Jisung put on a small smile.
"I might, I have to pick up my medication."
"Oh, I thought you stopped taking them" he commented, almost in a murmur so it cannot be heard.
"I had, but what's wrong?" Jisung turned to his side, blinking his tiredness away.
"It's just that," he trailed off, flinging himself onto his pillow, the bed moving slightly and squeaking through the silence. Jisung pressured him to talk more, "you don't want to do anything and–"
"What do you mean anything?" Jisung interrupted, sitting up fully now, he gets an idea of what he means, knows exactly what he means, but he wants to hear him say it, needs it.
"Nothing with me, nothing in."
Jisung rolled his eyes, shrugging the covers off, "Bed, right?" He finishes the sentence, "I don't want to have sex with you?"
"That's-"
"No, that's right, right? God, Minseok! I'm sorry that my depression is hard for you, I'm sorry it inconveniences you and your dick!" Jisung picked up his phone, looking for his car keys, a seemingly impossible task in the heat of the moment. Throwing a blanket on the ground, the familiar jangle could be heard, clinking on the ground.
"I'll see you at the party tomorrow, maybe then you and your dick will be separate things!" Jisung said, slamming the door he could feel the vibrations through his feet. Rushing down to the elevator, he sped home, ready for the night to be over so he could go to classes and get drunk the next night.
As soon as he steps into the car, he ends up sitting there, teardrops raining down his face, leaning himself into the wheel. It was night, and in front of him had held the streets of Toronto, busy as ever, life will go on if he goes missing, if no one knows where he was.
