Work Text:
“What are you so afraid of?” Donghyuck asks, annoyance obvious in his facial expression but his tone still so incredibly soft.
“I am not, I am not afraid of anything,” Jeno replies.
Jeno knows he is getting defensive, it’s not hard to tell when he reflexively feels his arm cross over his chest and he suddenly cannot meet Donghyuck’s gaze head-on anymore.
He also knows he is lying.
In the back of his head, Jeno knows exactly what is making him deny Donghyuck’s request so adamantly, but it’s not easy to accept or say out loud.
It’s not easy to have to confront the ugliest parts of himself on a day where he was just supposed to enjoy himself, when Donghyuck and he should be sitting side by side, thighs pressed together, playing games and laughing, kissing whenever they win and insulting random strangers on the internet when they get too cocky before falling into bed, again, side by side and limbs intertwined.
“Jeno,” Donghyuck pushes. “Talk to me.”
“There is nothing to talk about,” Jeno huffs out. His body is so tense it almost feels foreign, he doesn’t remember the last time he had felt this way - the last time he didn’t feel safe and just right while talking to Donghyuck. “Let it be, Hyuck.”
“You know this isn’t going to work out if you don’t open up,” Donghyuck says, carefully.
It feels like a threat.
It has Jeno bolting up from his seat on the sofa, head swimming in anxiety and a thousand please on the tip of his tongue for Donghyuck not to leave - it’s dumb.
Rationally, he knows it’s fucking stupid and Donghyuck didn’t mean it that way.
Rationally, he also knows what Donghyuck is saying is true.
Maybe that’s worse though, maybe that’s what makes his hands turn into fists, nails digging harshly into his own palm as he stares at his boyfriend.
His fight-or-flight is activated now, the thoughts in his head are running a mile per minute, anxiety turning into irrational anger, into twisted and mean words he wants to spit at Donghyuck so he leaves - even when he doesn’t want him to - so Jeno doesn’t have to think about anything relating to this anymore and can just bury himself into his bed under blankets upon blankets, preferably ignoring this whole conversation ever happened.
Angry tears prick at his eyes.
He takes an unsteady breath. His head is clear enough that he can recognize that deep down he’s really only angry at himself, at his inability to just communicate with Donghyuck.
If he digs even deeper into his heart, he can admit that he’s about to fuck this conversation up even more if he doesn’t stop, because he always does.
He always does and people always leave.
“Donghyuck, I don’t - just,” Jeno takes another deep breath and turns even farther away so they aren’t making eye contact anymore. “Leave it alone.”
“But - “ Donghyuck is about to say, but Jeno looks back at where he is standing, glaring at him, and that’s enough to make him stop in his tracks.
“I’m feeling overwhelmed and I have this very big urge to say a lot of mean, horrible, horrible things that I don’t even mean, so please, please stop, Hyuck,” Jeno begs, gritting every word through his teeth as if it pains him to talk.
Donghyuck clamps his mouth shut instantly.
Jeno can see the tense line of his shoulders and the way he is clenching his jaw so hard it must be painful, and Jeno wants - he wants -
He wants to be a fucking normal human being.
Someone who is not as emotionally stunted as he is, someone who can react well to unexpected situations, someone that can communicate properly without blowing things out of proportion in less than 2 seconds without really thinking things through.
“I am going out,” Jeno says, abruptly.
All he hears as he goes towards the entryway, rushing to put on his slippers and a coat, is an irritated groan from Donghyuck.
“It’s cold and 2 a.m.,” Donghyuck reminds him.
“I’m not a child,” Jeno mutters just before closing the apartment’s door behind him.
As soon as he steps a foot out of the building, Jeno exhales in relief.
The cold air is almost bruising against his skin, especially his feet, since like a dumbass he forgot to put on socks before going out. Maybe he was a child, after all.
His body feels off and uncoordinated, even as he walks further and further away from his home - from Donghyuck.
He feels like he has a million invisible strings tugging lightly against his skin, like he isn’t the master of his own body, like there’s something else controlling him.
Jeno’s felt like this before.
Of course, he has. It’s hard not to when you have parents who expect the best of you, when you have friends who rely on you at all times when your brain follows every happy moment you have up with thoughts that range from “What if you fuck this up again” to “I don’t deserve any of this”.
Over the years, it had become easier to manage the feeling, easier to pinpoint why it was happening. However, there’s one thing that he’s never been able to improve on.
Confrontation.
In this case, it’s the same, too. Jeno knows Donghyuck hadn’t meant harm, he’d just caught him on the wrong day and extremely unprepared.
⋘
“Hey Jeno,” Donghyuck calls out, putting down the controller to take Jeno’s hand in his. “I’ve been meaning to talk to you about something.”
“Oh?” Jeno looks up at him and wiggles his eyebrows. “Is it something… fun?”
“Dude,” he cackles. “Do you ever not think about fucking?”
“Yeah, but not when you’re around,” Jeno giggles, snuggling against Donghyuck’s shoulder and then further into his neck, leaving a sloppy wet kiss against his skin there just to be a little shit.
“Dumbass,” Donghyuck says, but the fondness in his voice has Jeno melting. “I’m being serious though, baby.”
“I know,” Jeno rubs his thumb across the back of Donghyuck’s hand. “What’s up?”
Jeno can feel him inhaling deeply, almost as if he was nervous.
“I’ve been talking to Taeyong-hyung and he’s… He’s been telling me about how Jaehyun and him… well… Instead of doing one-on-one dates with their individual partners, they have all been, sort of, hanging out together, you know?” Donghyuck tells him.
He squeezes Jeno’s hands softly.
Jeno hums, making sure Hyuck knows he’s listening attentively, even though he can feel goosebumps rising on the back of his neck and a lump settling in his throat, making it hard to swallow - or breathe - or think.
Individual partners.
“I was wondering if we… could do the same?” Donghyuck asks, hesitantly.
He isn’t quite sure how to respond.
Donghyuck and he had agreed upon having a polyamorous relationship after having dated for a little bit over a year. It had been Donghyuck’s suggestion.
After lots of boundary setting and so much vulnerable communication it almost had Jeno pulling out his hair, he had agreed, thinking it was a good idea for the both of them.
It had turned out to be one too.
It was cute to watch Donghyuck ramble about shitty dates or his sexcapades, it made their relationship feel free-er, more grounded.
What was even cuter to watch, though, was how Hyuck would get heart eyes when he finally found someone that he genuinely liked for more than sex, someone he wanted to continue to date and have a relationship with.
He would get all blushy and giggly just at the mention of their name.
Jeno couldn’t help but wonder if Donghyuck looked like that when they had first gotten to know each other or when he talked about him too.
Renjun was Donghyuck’s first partner.
Renjun was cute, artsy and mature.
Donghyuck had shown Jeno the pictures of him, and told him stories of how Renjun would glare at his flirting attempts but always make him latte art with hearts or smileys whenever he ordered a coffee anyway.
Then came Yangyang.
Yangyang was bright, handsome, and incredibly smart.
He had met Donghyuck at one of his business events, impressing him by speaking six languages. Four “accidental” - Jeno can’t help but snort at the memory - hook-ups later and Donghyuck had been head over heels, more than ready to commit.
With Yangyang came Shotaro.
As Donghyuck had described to him back then, both of them were attached to the hip. Where Yangyang went, so did Shotaro.
Donghyuck had been enamored the moment he met him, and apparently so had Renjun.
Shotaro was an amazing dancer, hot and incredibly funny - and probably the only person besides Donghyuck himself who could be described to be “like the sun” if all the pictures and videos Jeno had been shown were to be taken into consideration.
Jeno had honestly been happy for Donghyuck every single time.
More than glad to see him explore new relationships and glad that he had people who cared for him just as much as Jeno did. Donghyuck had always been a person deserving of more love than Jeno was able to give him, anyways. Meant to be loved until he wasn’t capable of receiving more.
Sometimes, though. sometimes Jeno would sit on his couch alone and in doubt in the middle of the night.
Was he good enough?
Was he good enough to be one of Donghyuck’s partners?
He wasn’t nearly as talented as Renjun, as funny as Yangyang, or as bright and loveable as Shotaro.
Jeno was just… Jeno.
His routine was always the same, he left his apartment for work, tried to survive 8 hours in an incredibly small and suffocating cubicle, and then came back home to his three cats.
He didn’t really have much to offer to Donghyuck.
So when those nights hit and his brain was trying - and succeeding - to make him feel like less, there was only one single and tiny stand of hope he held onto.
If Donghyuck didn’t see them all together, if Jeno never crossed paths with Hyuck’s other partners, Donghyuck wouldn’t be able to compare them.
If Donghyuck can’t compare them to each other, then Donghyuck wouldn’t leave him.
Donghyuck wouldn’t leave because he wouldn’t be able to see how much of a wrong choice Jeno and their relationship had been, how stupid he was to even stay with someone like him for three years when he had so many other and better people to be around.
Most often than not, those thoughts would disappear the next morning but sometimes they would linger in the back of his mind for days.
He knew his insecurities or his thoughts weren’t something Hyuck should or could fix.
Donghyuck had always been more than honest at all times, more than loving and understanding, and such a perfect and kind partner. He’d always reassure and love him in all the ways Jeno needed and wanted to be loved.
Plus it wasn’t like Jeno hadn’t tried to gout once or twice and hook up with people either.
He, however, had quickly realized he didn’t have the emotional capacity for casual hookups. Jeno was just more of a relationship person, a friends-to-lovers enjoyer if you will.
The only person, so far, that had managed to break Jeno’s built-up walls besides Donghyuck had been Jaemin.
He really had come out of left field.
Just appeared one day in the cubicle right next to Jeno at the office, offered Jeno a blinding smile and a cookie, and that kind of sealed the deal for him.
Jaemin was kind and pretty. Very hot. Very smart.
He had Jeno wrapped around his little finger before Jeno could even realize, the both of them going on dates during their lunch breaks and sharing incredibly cringy notes with each other while their manager wasn’t looking.
When Jeno had told him about Donghyuck and their relationship, he had thankfully been more than understanding, too.
Jaemin had kissed him on the nose and said, “I am more than willing to share. I can’t possibly be selfish enough to keep someone as handsome as you all to myself.”
Jeno had blushed furiously, pushed him away jokingly, and then pulled him back in by his tie for another kiss.
Similarly, Donghyuck had been more than excited to hear about Jaemin at first and even more so, when Jeno finally told him they had officially become boyfriends.
From the very first moment, Donghyuck had wanted to meet Jaemin.
Jeno, though, had been skilled enough to avoid all his advances and suggestions whenever he actually tried to make a get-to-know-each-other date happen.
Until now, that is.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Jeno clears his throat.
Donghyuck makes a sound of surprise, shifting away from Jeno to be able to look into his eyes.
Jeno tries to whine, pulling at Donghyuck’s arm to keep him in place.
“Why?”
“I told you,” Jeno frowns. “I just don’t think it’d be good.”
“Yes, but why?” Donghyuck prods further. “Renjun has been dying to meet you for ages, Yangyang and Shotaro are also on board and pretty excited.”
He knows Hyuck isn’t saying it but Jeno can still hear the unspoken “Why aren’t you?” in his words.
This tugs right at the heartstrings attached to his biggest insecurities in all the wrong ways.
Of course, even in this situation, Jeno has to be the odd one out, the one who can’t possibly comply with such an easy request to make Donghyuck happy.
Of course, he’s the one who has to disappoint him.
“I don’t know what you want me to tell you,” Jeno sighs. “I don’t want to. Shouldn’t that be enough?”
“Jeno,” Donghyuck says, his voice mellowing out as he pushes Jeno away once more and makes him look up by hooking a finger under his chin. “I don’t want to make you do something you don’t want to do. I just need to understand. Why not?”
He can see Donghyuck is genuinely confused, but his confusion wrongfully translates to frustration in Jeno’s brain, which makes him even more scared of answering.
What if he says the wrong thing?
What if Donghyuck thinks he’s being stupid for being insecure?
What if Donghyuck decides Jeno isn’t worth having this argument over and just leaves?
In the end, with all the thoughts running through his head, Jeno doesn’t say anything. He just stays silent, looking at his hands, fiddling anxiously with his fingers.
“What are you so afraid of, Jeno?”
⋙
As he walks down the familiar path from his apartment to the convenience store, the question echoes in his head continuously.
Why is he so afraid?
Is it the thought of having to see people he has heard of but doesn’t know?
Is it the thought of sitting through a whole night of his brain just pointing out all the things Renjun, Shoaro, and Yangyang are better at than him?
Is it the thought of Donghyuck discovering that under all the bravado Jeno puts on display, he’s just a tiny little insecure and anxious dude that’s afraid of any and all the steps he takes?
Is it the thought that Donghyuck could leave?
Is it all of those things combined?
Jeno involuntarily shivers when a gust of wind directly hits him and breaks him out of the tangent of thoughts he was having.
His toes feel like they’re frozen even though Jeno’s been out for barely ten minutes.
For a second, he considers going back but he knows he can’t. Won’t. At least not yet.
He thinks about calling Jaemin.
Jaemin would probably know what to do, how to fix this. He’s a thousand times more emotionally intelligent than Jeno will ever be - another thing he has to work on, another thing he isn’t as good as other people at - but his hands somehow feel like they are stuck inside his jacket’s pockets, making him unable to fish out his phone.
“Fuck,” Jeno curses, suddenly overwhelmed. “Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck .”
Jeno squats down on the side of the street, like a dumbass, and presses his fists harshly against his eyes, hoping the tears that are threatening to slip out won’t actually escape.
In the end, no matter how hard he tries, the tears fall anyway.
Because of course nothing ever works out the way Jeno wants it to.
He had been so happy lately, felt so fulfilled in his job, and had finally found a balance between Donghyuck and Jaemin and… and he had felt at peace with himself and his life the past few weeks but now… Now It just feels like that was the calm before the storm.
Like life had once again made him hope for forever, for happiness, that he didn’t deserve.
A sob leaves his lips and god - isn’t he so embarrassing?
Crouching down on the street while sobbing so loudly probably half of the neighborhood can hear him.
“Jen! Hey, Jeno, are you okay?”
As soon as he hears Donghyuck’s voice, his first instinct is to get up, to stand up straight, and maybe run away.
It’s not like Donghyuck will be able to catch up to him anyway.
He does almost everything, except actually run away.
Jeno doesn’t think he could bear the utter embarrassment he’d feel if Donghyuck sees him falling face-first onto the concrete of the sidewalk when he inevitably trips over his slippers and can’t see through his tears.
Instead, he hurries to wipe harshly all over his face, begging whoever is watching over them that the tear tracks on his skin aren’t all too noticeable and his eyes are not too puffy yet.
“Y-Yeah, I am good,” he croaks, still not facing Donghyuck.
When the silence stretches for a beat too long and his eyes accidentally land on Donghyuck, he sees the concern etched onto his features. He also notices a pair of his sneakers in Hyuck’s hands.
Even with Jeno being a mess and acting like a jackass, Donghyuck always to be so fucking considerate.
Jeno kind of wants to start crying all over again.
“I am glad,” Donghyuck finally says, worry morphing into the ghost of a smile as he steps closer to Jeno. “I was kind of worried your toes had fallen off and you were openly mourning them in the middle of the street. Before that actually becomes a reality, put these on, please.”
He looks from Donghyuck’s face to the shoes he is holding out for Jeno several times, unsure.
“They won’t bite, Jen. I won’t either,” he reassures him. “I’m sorry if I made you feel pressed. I didn’t mean to, I just - I wanted to see all the people I love in one place. I’m sorry, okay? So let’s go home, please?”
It makes the situation worse.
Jeno’s lips start to wobble dangerously, he has to close his eyes and inhale sharply so as to not let more tears come out.
It’s not Donghyuck’s fault.
It’s Jeno’s.
He knows that Donghyuck should know that too. It was Jeno who made an innocent conversation into a big deal, unable to communicate properly. Donghyuck shouldn’t have to apologize, Jeno is the one who got defensive and childishly ran away, and yet…
And yet Donghyuck, sweet and beautiful and caring and bright Donghyuck, is standing in front of him, nervously shifting on his feet as if he was the one in the wrong, as if he had been the one to fuck it all up.
“Jen?” Donghyuck mutters, voice barely above a whisper.
Jeno meets his eyes.
Before his brain catches up with his heart, he is taking desperate strides towards Donghyuck, curling his fingers around his wrist and pulling him in until they are chest to chest.
Donghyuck lets out a surprised little squeak but still, he brings his hands to the back of Jeno’s head and pats it gently.
“I am so sorry, Hyuckie,” Jeno sobs, holding on tighter and hiding his face in the crook of Donghyuck’s neck. “I am so sorry, so sorry. You don’t - fuck - you don’t deserve this. I’m - I’m sorry, Hyuck, I’m so - so terrified, Hyuck, I’m so scared, I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, baby, it’s okay,” Donghyuck whispers comfortingly. “Let it all out, Jen, I’m here. It’s okay. You’re okay.”
Jeno doesn’t know how long they stay together like that, him letting out broken apologies and sobs and Donghyuck holding him, kissing the top of his and caressing his hair.
He doesn’t really care either.
All he needs is the warmth that Donghyuck’s radiating, all he needs is to know that Donghyuck is still here, he isn’t gone, and if - if Jeno tries, he still has a chance to fix it, to be good enough to deserve Donghyuck’s care and have this whole conversation again without fucking it up.
“Let’s go home, okay?” Donghyuck mumbles, his hand coming to cup both of Jeno’s cheeks and making him look up. “I am genuinely starting to worry about your toes falling off, baby.”
Jeno involuntarily laughs and then, when Donghyuck keeps staring as if he is waiting for an answer, nods.
“Let’s go,” he replies, voice lower than usual from all the crying.
Donghyuck smiles reassuringly and leaves a fleeting kiss on his lips.
Although Jeno still feels extremely off, still feels like his anxiety is about to take control over him again any minute, he doesn’t want for the little courage he had acquired during their walk back, Donghyuck’s hand in his acting as an anchor and reminder that Donghyuck is here, Donghyuck loves him, to disappear.
Which is probably why he is spilling his guts as soon as the both of them enter his apartment.
“I am afraid you are going to break up with me,” he confesses.
Donghyuck’s head turns around so quickly, Jeno is afraid he’ll get whiplash. His eyes are almost comically wide as he blinks incredulously.
“What?” Donghyuck replies.
“You asked what I was so afraid of before I… before I ran out on you,” Jeno clarifies, looking at the floor. “I am afraid if we meet up with all your other boyfriends, you’re going to break up with me because you’ll notice that you don’t love me - or at least not as much as you love them.”
Silence engulfs his little entryway.
Donghyuck just gapes at him, mouth open and eyes glazed over, almost like he is letting the information sink in.
Jeno doesn’t quite know what to do with himself. His fingers automatically start to dig into his own palm as he waits for Donghyuck to say something, anything really.
“I…,” Donghyuck clears his throat, blinking once, twice, before his eyes focus on Jeno again. “Why?”
“Why what?” Jeno asks, confused.
“Why do you think I don’t - wouldn’t - love you as much as Yangyang, Shotaro, or Renjun?” Donghyuck says. “Why do you think I’d break up with you?”
He hadn’t quite expected that question.
Although now that he thinks about it, it is a pretty valid question to ask.
“Oh? I thought it was obvious,” Jeno shrugs, awkwardly laughing.
“Well, it isn’t,” Donghyuck frowns.
“I don’t know how to explain it, Hyuck. It’s just… when you talk about them your eyes light up, you know? You tell me about your dates and how Renjun bought you this expensive bracelet I wouldn’t ever be able to afford, how Yangyang made you laugh really hard for hours on end when it’s always mostly you who makes me laugh whenever we are together, how Shotaro was able to bring you comfort without even talking while I stumble over my words and get panicked as soon as I see tears in your eyes,” Jeno feels like he is saying too much, rambling. “Don’t get me wrong, most of the time I am so, so happy for you. This is exactly why we decided to open our relationship up, to find people who could cater to needs we couldn’t fulfill for each other but… but sometimes my brain just gets hung up on it and it makes me insecure.”
Jeno notices the way Donghyuck’s frown has deepened and he realizes that he probably just made things worse instead of making them better like he should have but he’s already started talking and his brain seems unable to stop itself - or him from saying even more.
“I just think that if we were all to meet up at one place, you’d look around and see them, how handsome and amazing they are, and realize I no longer serve a purpose in your life, that you no longer love me as much as you thought you did,” he finishes.
He feels like he has just run a marathon, breathless even though he has just been standing in the same spot. It also feels like he just took his own heart out of his chest and is serving it to Donghyuck on a silver platter.
The possibility of Donghyuck breaking his heart scares him beyond belief.
Still, he also feels so relieved, like he’s just released a million years’ worth of worrying and overthinking by actually telling Hyuck about how he feels.
No matter what the result is - whether Donghyuck realizes that he is an insecure little bitch and doesn’t want anything to do with him or whether Donghyuck embraces his vulnerability with open arms, at least one good thing came out of all of this.
He will no longer have to spend sleepless nights over whether he should talk to him about this anymore, will not overthink how Donghyuck would react if he did because he will know.
“Do you love Jaemin more than me?” Donghyuck asks, snapping him out of his thoughts.
“Huh? What?” Jeno says, confused once again.
“Do you love Jaemin more than me?” Donghyuck repeats.
“Of course not,” he says. “I love you both for different things but I love you the same amount. You’re both the loves of my life.”
“Exactly, Jeno,” Donghyuck smiles, looking at him expectantly.
Jeno feels like he is not getting something.
As if he was supposed to be reading between the lines and making a connection between all they’ve just said, but he can’t, brain too overwhelmed to understand.
Jeno stares at Donghyuck with uncertainty and when he doesn’t get a proper elaboration, he just raises his eyebrows in question.
Donghyuck rolls his eyes, frustrated.
“I love Yangyang, Renjun, Shotaro, and you for different reasons but I love you all the same,” Donghyuck explains, using Jeno’s exact same words while taking his jacket off. “You may not be as funny as Yangyang, or as rich as Renjun, or as comforting as Shotaro, but…”
“Ouch,” Jeno mumbles, butthurt, and avoids eye contact again.
“But I don’t want you to be all that, Jeno,” Donghyuck continues, taking Jeno’s face in between his hands and making him look down straight into his eyes. “I want you for you. I love you for your unfunny dad jokes and for how you silently take care of me without me noticing on most occasions, for how easily you sulk when I tease you, for how you have a list of all the things I love and need when I am sad on your phone.”
“Oh,” he breathes out.
“I love you because you are thoughtful, beautiful, and painstakingly kind to everyone,” Donghyuck smiles. “I could make you a whole list of all the other things I love about you but I just need you to know that there’s no alternative universe where I’d ever not want to be with you. You’re my person - well, one of them at least - in every lifetime.”
“You’re about to make me cry again,” Jeno complains, pouting and blinking rapidly. “Such a fucking sap.”
“Brat,” Donghyuck laughs, playfully pushing Jeno’s face away. “Here I am, confessing my undying love for you across all universes only for you to wound me like that.”
Donghyuck turns around dramatically and starts walking away into the living room but Jeno can see the small smile on his lips anyway.
“Hyuck,” Jeno whines. He throws his own coat onto the floor and runs after him, successfully stopping him by back hugging him, his face smushed against Donghyuck’s shoulder. “I love you too. So much. I’m sorry I didn’t open up about this earlier.”
“It’s okay,” Donghyuck laughs, squeezing Jeno’s hands that are on top of his belly. “I’ll always wait for you to tell me what’s going on, Jen. No matter how long it takes.”
“I love you,” Jeno can’t help but repeat, feeling incredibly relieved.
“Love you more,” Donghyuck smiles.
(When they settle onto Jeno’s bed, the sun peeking out between Jeno’s blinds, Jeno rubs a soothing hand over Donghyuck’s back as he clings onto him, feeling thankful.
They had spent hours talking, kissing, expressing everything they couldn’t put into words in actions, and basking in each other’s presence. Every press of Donghyuck’s lips against his skin, every muttered praise, every squeeze of his hand, had felt like a declaration of love, of commitment, of security.
He feels loved, feels safe.
So secure and sure of himself, of Donghyuck, of their relationship.
“Uhm… when were you thinking of doing that group hangout?” Jeno whispers in the little space between their bodies.
Donghyuck meets his eyes, a smile, that is so bright it could challenge the sun, dancing on his lips.
“Not sure, wanted to do it within the next few weeks.”
“Oh…,” Jeno runs his tongue over his chapped lips, looking away from Donghyuck’s intense stare and nodding. “I think I can make time for it, then.”
“Jen, are you sure?” Donghyuck squeezes his waist softly.
A small grin starts taking over Jeno’s features. He is happy to realize that although his insecurities aren’t fully gone, or well, won’t disappear overnight, there’s no hesitation when he replies with a whispered “yeah” and leans closer to kiss the corner of Donghyuck’s lips.
Donghyuck doesn’t respond, just pulls Jeno closer until Jeno can’t really tell where Hyuck starts and he ends.
“I have to seize them up anyways, gotta see if they’re worthy of being your boyfriend,” Jeno jokes, giggling, and wrapping his arms tighter around Donghyuck.
Donghyuck snorts, laughing, but kisses the top of Jeno’s head anyway.)
