Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows

Summary:

You, a tired Fazbear employee, end up becoming rather close with the Daycare Attendant. He is intrigued by you. You are intrigued by him. On one eventful day, you two manage to get the timing right.

Notes:

Hello everyone! This is my first FNAF work and I am pretty happy with it. Not sure how many chapters will be made, but I just love Sun and Moon so much. They make my heart melt! It is not explicit just yet, but it will be *wink wink*. Suggestions are always welcome. Please Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Sunshine on a snowy night

Summary:

Welcome to the Plex! It's nap time!

Chapter Text

Ever since the Daycare Attendant received his upgrades, he had been… different. Not in a bad way, of course, just different in a way you couldn’t quite put your finger on. Of course, you had always found him appealing, but with the entirely new face - a moving mouth, teeth, eyes that weren’t blank, and strangely enough, a tongue - there was a new air about him that made him seem more confident. The kids sure loved him, but they had loved him before the upgrade. Supposedly someone in the higher levels of management wanted him to look “more attractive” so that the parents could have their worries eased with how unsettling some used to find him. It hurt your heart a bit at the thought of anyone finding them anything other than wonderful, but you could be a bit biased. You, being the daycare assistant, got to spend more time with him than anyone, which led you to growing fairly close with the bot. Sometimes, especially recently, you found it hard to believe he wasn’t a human. His staggering nine feet and five inches reminded you that, duh, he wasn’t human, but his mannerisms and personality sure did make up for the fact that he was made of silicone and metal instead of flesh and blood. In any case, his confidence had seemed to make him more willing to get in your personal space. You guessed he used to not get as close because he had figured you’d find him disturbing, like all of the other adults did. Sure, you had thought he looked… odd, but that didn’t mean you found him creepy or ugly by any means. He was an acquired taste, you could say. When you’d try and explain to your friends how your coworker was a robot with two personalities, most of them would write you off as crazy and that would be that. But the Attendant never did. He always seemed to keep his attention focused solely on you whenever you spoke, it would even make you blush at times with how intense his blue eyed gaze was trained rigidly on you, as though you would disappear if he blinked to lubricate his optic casing. They really did make him way more human than they should have. It made you feel things, and you had a strict personal policy to not date coworkers… or robots.

Okay, scratch that. Robots weren’t off the table, but robot coworkers were. You had kept your affinity for non organic life to yourself, for the most part, save for your few friends online who shared the same feelings. You also had an affinity for tall men, with big hands and sharp jaws. One of the more interesting features they gave the Attendant was his hair - it was soft but definitely synthetic. It was white when he was Moon, but when he was Sun, it was a vibrant gold. It would even glow a soft orange, due to the fact that the technicians had installed light fibers in the ends of his hair, which could be activated whenever he wanted. Since he could no longer spin his sun rays around, the lights acted as a replacement for that mechanism. You also found it interesting how they finally gave him an eye color that matched his cartoon poster counterpart. It softened the harsh brightness of his whole body, which made him easier on the eyes. The blue eyes stayed, even when Moon was out. Ever since the whole Vanny incident, each animatronic, big and small, had been re-coded and fixed to have better antiviral software. That whole process came with the update, and the fact that his entire body was encased in a soft silicone that had been sprayed with a texture that mimicked the feeling of skin, well, let’s just say that it didn’t upset you.

It was another particularly slow day when everything started to slide into place. You knew you had a crush on the Attendant, but had tried your very best to keep your relationship strictly friendly and professional. It didn’t help that he would often pick you up and dance with you on your breaks. Or that he would set you in his lap while he told the kids stories before the lights went out. Or that his hands would linger on your hips for just a bit longer than normal. It totally did not frazzle you in any way. It also would never have ever made you spend hours in your bed, thoughts of his exponentially larger body covering yours and engaging in pleasure he probably knew nothing about. You had figured he was sexless and chaste, since he was a robot, but sometimes you wondered… When sat upon his lap, striped pants folded underneath his crossed legs, the feeling of his air venting from his throat, warm and sweet - it would make you think his intentions were not always so pure. His lips would brush your ear “by accident” every so often. His abdomen would press up against your back, leaving no space between the two of you as you sat there, holding up finger puppets or toys, acting out the stories he would tell before nap time. If his hands ever brushed across your chest while he moved about, excitedly telling stories of daring princes and beautiful princesses, you wouldn’t ever admit to noticing it.

The day had droned on for what seemed like an eternity. It was the middle of winter, and those were the slowest months in the daycare. Parents would cancel their plans to avoid driving in the snow, leaving the daycare, for the most part, empty. Aside from the two of you, of course. He had cleaned the ballpit twice, because “there’s no harm in making it double as clean!”, and had even gone so far as to clean the play structures with three rounds of disinfectants. You had taken care of all of your tasks for the day, so you had helped him clean the floors as one of the final chores before closing. No kids remained, so you two were left to your own devices. He had opted to get out some pencils and paper, offering some to you, then sat delicately on the floor, trying to think of what to draw. He was very talented, especially now that he had better ability to grip the pencils when his hands were free of his gloves. It never occurred to you that you couldn’t ever find where his joints were until his body was completely wrapped in silicone, leaving him looking smooth and soft. He still had the crescent moon across half of his face, which trailed down his neck. You could only imagine that it continued down further… no no no NO you cannot be thinking about this at work!

“Something wrong?” the Sun asked. His blue eyes were trained on you intensely, lips pursed and hand still, having stopped his sketching.

“No, Sunny, everything is okay!” You smiled and hastily looked back down at your paper, opting to draw animals. That would calm down your stupidly horny thoughts. The attempt of not having a crush at work was, in all honesty, failing. You found that your eyes would wander over to him throughout the day, trailing up and down his body and finally landing on his pretty face. He would look over and smile at you, innocent. Sometimes you would poke your tongue out just to get a rise out of him, and his response would always be to stick his back out at you, the dusty orange color of it taking you off guard every time. If you squinted, you could see it glistening with lubrication fluid (you assumed, but you knew very little about that kind of stuff or how machines worked). A blush would involuntarily bloom across your cheeks as you looked back down at your task list, but you’d never admit why.

“You seem to be thinking about a lot, you keep stopping your sketches! They’re so pretty pretty pretty!” He bent down to look at the several cats you had drawn, all of them of varying sizes and patterns. “Cats are so cute, I wish I could see one in person! Yes yes yes, yes I would really like to just pet one. Are they soft?” His big blue eyes were wide in curiosity. You could have died from how cute he looked.

“Oh, they are usually super soft! Unless you pet a hairless one. Those are usually just… fleshy. But not in a bad way,” you explained. He nodded in understanding, then smiled.

“Do you have a kitty?” You nearly choked on your spit.

“Yeah, two actually. They are real goobers, heh…” A blush was spreading across your face. How could he be so cute yet so… no. You couldn’t think it, or else you’d start imagining it, and that would be bad. Though, Sun did always encourage imagination…

“That is very cool! You are so cool, sunshine. You have cats, and you have different outfits! Youyouyou have different hair styles you do sometimes too - we notice that, you know! It’s really pretty when your hair is down!” He was babbling but something about his words felt heavy. Large hands were delicately holding the pencil, drawing what looked to be… you?

“That is so sweet of you to say,” you started. “Is that… is that me?”

“Mhm!” Without even a moment of hesitation did he admit that he was drawing you. And you looked good. He even got the curve of your breasts right. That led you to wonder how often he had looked at you to draw you so accurately. “Do you… do you like it?”

“It’s really good, really!” This caused the animatronic to do a little bounce in his comically too-small seat.

“May I just -” He started, before gently using his index finger to move your head to face him. This caused your blush to spread down your neck, and potentially down to your chest, considering how hot your skin began to feel. He studied your pink face for a moment before looking back down at his drawing, deftly swiping the pencil in fluid motions across the paper. You were about to lean closer to watch when he stated flatly “don’t move.” He added a little “please” after he realized he had made a direct command, something he tried to do as rarely as possible.

“It’s okay, don’t worry about it Sunny.” He seemed to appreciate what you said, his smile having returned and his eyes fluttering back to you. Something about sitting so closely to him made you feel fuzzy inside. He was warm, hot even - his body emanated heat like an oven. The warmth did nothing to help you with your desire to be close to him, your desire to feel his warm casing against your skin…

“-ting still, I’ve got it. Sunshine?”

“Huh? What?” You stuttered, was he talking?

“I said you don’t have to keep sitting still, I got what I needed. See, seeseesee?” He pushed his drawing over to you. Leaning closer, he watched as you examined his artwork. He got everything right, the freckles, the hair, even the small birthmark on your wrist. How did he notice that? “Do you like it? Do you?” His voice sounded almost frantic, if it weren’t for the timid smile gracing his elegant face.

“I love it, I really do,” you said, excited. He was leaning even closer now, his hand coming to rest near yours, fingers tapping the ground repeatedly. “Could we trade?” You handed him your drawing of the cats, while placing his next to you. He nodded vigorously and gently plucked the paper from your fingers. Your fingertips brushed together for a moment and your blush returned. In the fleeting moment you two were connected, you could feel the heat radiating off of the digits. His slender frame laid back against the ground, holding the paper up to his face while stretching out his legs. You couldn’t help that your eyes took in the full view of him. He seemed to notice though, which is something that you forgot you could notice. It used to be so easy, living in willful ignorance, when he just had the simple faceplate. If he ever looked at you, you would either never know, or be made very aware. When he wanted you to know he was looking, he used to turn his whole faceplate towards you. If his optics were at all similar back then to what they were updated to, then he could look at you without turning. He always seemed to be big on respecting your need to know, though. Now? His eyes could move while the rest of him remained deathly still. Yet another feature that made robots so appealing to you - they had complete and total control of each and every movement they made. If they did it, it was intentional. No human flaws to get in the way.

“Is there something on my pants?” You were pulled from your reverie at the sound of his soft voice, only realizing in that moment that you had been staring at his legs. With the updates, his voice was changed to be a bit less tinny and pitchy. Sure, it still had that chipper and higher pitch to it, but it lacked that grating squeak it used to have when he got too loud or excited.

“No, sorry, I was just… zoning out.” Humming, he let the issue drop. You turned your gaze back to the drawing of you he made. No one had done something like that for you before, and it hadn’t even taken him five minutes!

“Maybe you need a nap!” The Sun offered. It was impossible to help how your eyes bugged out of your head at the idea. But… a nap did sound pretty nice. The daycare was about to close, and you could exit through the employee doors after hours, so there was no worry of being trapped for the night. With a nod, you stood up. “Wait, y-you’re really going to?” He blurted, almost seemingly incredulous at the notion of you accepting his offer.

“Well yeah, I don’t wanna fall asleep at the wheel. It would be safer if I got a little sleep before heading home, wouldn’t you agree?” Your argument was foolproof. With a nod, the animatronic stood up, his figure casting a large shadow over you. Meekly, you stood up, your eyes only level with his abdomen. You looked up, smiling. He offered his large hand out to you, which you took, only to have him lift you up to drape across his chest. With his other hand, he pulled your legs up and over his waist, then let go with the expectation that you would keep your legs there, secured by linking your ankles behind his back. You couldn’t help the blush that formed when he did that, but you tried to hide it by resting your head against his chest and facing down, hopeful that he couldn’t see. He could, but he wouldn’t let you know that, opting to spare you from any embarrassment. His warmth was palpable, leaving you feeling like putty in his arms. With one hand securing your back, he lifted his other to summon the cord from the ceiling, grabbing on and ascending into the air towards his balcony. Heights were your enemy, and with only one hand (one rather large hand) to spare you from a long fall, you squeezed your eyes shut, hoping the floating would stop and that you would hear his feet touch solid ground.

With the elegance of a swan, he landed on the balcony stage, tapping your back to let you know it was safe.

“S-sorry about that, wewewe - I…” He pondered a moment before continuing. “I should have - should have asked before grabbing you. I-I I, I just -” You raised your hand up to his chest, stopping him. He had begun to fidget with his hands and his hair was beginning to glow a vibrant red at the tips, and you could have sworn you saw a blush flash across his nose.

“It’s okay, I would have had to try and jump to get in your arms if you hadn’t lifted me. The way to your room outside the daycare is a long walk so… it’s fine.” You stopped your talking with a soft smile, noticing that his hair was back to its normal golden color. The pale side of his face that was home to the crescent moon glowed slightly, his eyes lingering on yours. He gave a timid smile before stretching his arm out towards his room, granting you entry. The room itself was small, well, small for an animatronic of his height. As he was taking off his gloves, you were busy strolling through the room, scanning the walls that were full of drawings done by the children he so adeptly cared for. He had a small spot that looked like a makeshift desk, and from the corner of your eye you could see him putting your drawing in one of the drawers. The smile that graced his features as he took one last glance at the sketch made your stomach flutter.

“It’s uh, it’s not much…”

“It’s nice! It is super cozy.” Your eyes wandered to the corner where a makeshift bed composed of several layers of puffy blankets, two walls covered by pillows, and several stuffed animals resided. You also noticed the orange and blue canopy hanging over the entirety of it, fairy lights hanging within the confines of the thin curtain. The humanoid automaton looked on at you with an air of shyness about him.

“You think so, really really?” Twiddling his fingers seemed to be what he did best at that moment, worry covering him like a veil.

“Well yeah, it’s nicer than my place, that’s for sure.” He perked up at this. With his long arm he gestured towards the bed, lightly stepping closer. You took your shoes and jacket off before stepping onto the soft bed. He still looked worried. “Something wrong, Sunny?”

“You’re in your work clothes, those - those cannot be very comfortable for sleeping.” Raising his right pointer finger to the sky, he closed his eyes and scrunched his eyebrows. “It is important to be comfortable while sleeping, or else your sleep could be disturbed by unpleasant sensations like stiff fabric pinching your skin!” He opened his eyes once he was done, but what could you do? You weren’t about to strip down to your underwear in front of him just to take a nap… Right?

“I usually like to nap in things other than my work clothes but,” you motioned up and down your torso with your hands, “I don’t really have any other option.” Shrugging, you climbed further into the bed, resting against the mountain of pillows. Sun worried his hands while looking around, hair glowing in the dimly lit room. “Ah!” He exclaimed, making you jump. With one stride of his long legs he was back at his desk, opening up one of the drawers. In his hands was a shirt, one of the new ones he was given after the upgrade. “You can wear this!”

“Really?” Reaching out towards the now outstretched arm of the animatronic, you took hold of the gigantic shirt and held it up to your chest. You couldn’t help the giggle that came from you when you saw just how large it was compared to you. “It’ll be like a dress on me.”

“That is arguably more comfortable to sleep in, sunshine!” His chipper tone convinced you. Looking around awkwardly for a place to change, your gaze met his, which was lingering on you expectantly. “Uh… where can I change?”

“Oh! Right… rightrightright - privacy,” his use of the word sounded like he was scolding himself more than directly speaking to you. He turned around and, just for extra privacy, put his hands over his eyes. As quickly as you could, you changed out of your black jeans and purple work shirt, folding them in a pile by the bed. Damn you for forgoing a bra today. The shirt he provided you was dense enough, and it went down to your mid thigh. The neckline was plunging, going slightly lower than your breasts. It covered you, but you knew you’d have to be careful with how you positioned yourself. You also happened to be wearing your Starry Night socks, which, upon alerting Sun that it was okay to turn around, the animatronic took great interest in.

“That is… wow that is so sosososo pretty!” He made his way to sit on the bed next to you, his hand ghosting along the swirling pattern of the fabric. His touch had you wishing you were wearing pants along with this glorified dress. Anything to provide you some semblance of decency. With your arms folded across your chest, you laughed out a breathy “yeah, Van Gogh was a pretty talented guy…”

“Is that the name of the person who made these socks?” His words were gentle.

“Oh, um… no, no the socks are designed after a really famous painting. Here, let me -” You began to say, but chose to take out your phone and look up the famous artwork. He looked at your phone, astonished.

“That is even prettier than the socks!” He clapped his hands together lightly. “But you sure do make the socks stand out.” His last sentence caught you off guard.

“What do you mean Sun?”

“Well, you’re really pretty, and - and so is the painting, and so are the socks! S-so, it’s uh, well it’s like three pretty things put into one! Just really reallyreally pretty…” His words trailed off as he scooted back into the corner of the bed, giving you plenty of room.

“Thank you,” you started, leaning back into the pillows. They were remarkably soft. “How long have you had this bed up here?”

“Oh, we don’t sleep, but we uh, we like to lay down sometimes. We ‘sleep’ when we charge, actually.” His vision shifted over to his charging station, a humble panel in the wall that you assumed opened with some way for him to attach to it. “We only made the bed because we like to just lay down and look at our lights, our pictures, you know… Just to rest.”

“Mmm. I get it.” A smile made its way across your face. Closing your eyes, you shifted until you were more comfortable, sinking into the blankets. You felt as though you were being watched, so you peeked over at the machine next to you. Blue eyes were trained on your resting form, lashes downcast and framing the sharp features prettily. “Are you gonna watch me the whole time?” You laughed as you spoke but also knew you’d have a hard time sleeping if he kept staring.

“Oh, right - humans don’t like being observed while in a vulnerable state like sleeping.” Sun seemed to talk to himself again. You raised your eyebrow at him. “Makes them uncomfortable,” he whispered, like you didn’t know.

“Just a little.” You grabbed one of the stuffed animals, only then realizing it was a stuffed Freddy toy. Sun seemed to appreciate you taking one, if his smile was anything to go by. You held the Freddy close to your chest, grateful for the coverage of your exposed skin. You found yourself drifting off into sleep faster than you had anticipated, while Sun had also closed his eyes to give you some comfort. Once your breathing evened out and slowed, Sun opened his eyes to look at you again. In your sleep you had moved your legs, the hem of his shirt riding dangerously high up your thigh. The animatronics gaze moved up your unclothed leg, taking in the soft and subtle details of your skin. He did not dare move, lest you wake up, so he decided to just soak in your appearance from a safe distance. His thoughts began to wander to things best kept private, so he chose to delicately grab a blanket and drape it over you. In his movement, your body tilted to the side, Freddy plush falling from your chest. Before he had time to avert his gaze, one of your breasts peeked over the neck of the shirt. It was round, soft looking. Your nipple was a dusty pink color, and it peaked in the cool air of the quiet room. His chest tightened at the sight, slowly leaning closer to get a better look. Air venting from his mouth caused the bud to stiffen further, a whimper leaving your sleeping throat. There was nothing more he wanted to do than touch you, feel how you two were different. You were soft, delicate. He was metal and silicone, his ‘skin’ didn’t prickle with a drop in temperature, he didn’t sweat when he exerted any energy. You though… you were so unlike him. You were beautiful, small.

He had harbored thoughts of you that were less than pure for a long time. How he knew they were impure was beyond him, he was never one to look up anything inappropriate in the data banks of his internal computer. Out of respect for you and for all people, he kept those things out of his search history. But he knew, somehow, that what he wanted to do with you was something best done behind closed doors, under covers. He grit his teeth as he brought the blanket over your resting form, leaning back against the covers, just watching you. He stayed that way for a while, checking the clock every so often to see how late it was getting. It was peaceful, listening to you breathe. He was fascinated by everything about you that made you human, and now that he was no longer having to give his attention to both you and his thoughts, he let his mind wander.

You want to hold themmmm, don’t you,” came the disembodied voice of his lunar counterpart.

“Of course I do, you do too,” Sun grumbled to the blue bot.

Why don’t you?” Moon teased. “Afraaaid?

“I am not afraid, thank you very much. I-I… I just…”

Say no more, sunlight. I understannnd…”

Sun felt himself stiffen under the scrutiny. Opting to stop talking, the solar robot simply closed his eyes, grateful for your company.

That is, until the lights turned off.
