By the year M782.M41, the Sabbat Worlds Crusade had come to a standstill. With the forces of the Archon Urlock Gaur holding firm along the Erinyes Line and the Southern Sector of the Cabal Systems firmly under the control of the Magister Anakwana Sek, the determined advance of the Crusade began to falter. However, cracks were beginning to form between the Chaos forces around M781.M41 and was strained to breaking point by the later point of M782.M41 when the two Chaos Forces came to blows on the planet Aaltje. By the year M783.M41, the Crusade Southern Task Force under the command of Lord Militant Cybon were dispatched to their next set of Objectives consisting of taking the Planets of Saint Adolphus, Coven and finally Cribor, with Cribor being the main crux of the new advance due to it potentially holding a key player in the Cabal Systems defense, Etogaur Valok Bal. Deployed to this campaign were the 4th Cadian Infantry, 3rd Highlanders and 1st Herodian Crusade Force, the newest founding of the Crusade Army. However green they may seem, they would quickly show themselves in the fires of battle but would quickly learn that war is not what the stories told of.
