Chapter Text
Topher Bus could never stand to look at his face. Ever since he was a child, he had found himself to be ugly, but only recently, when his Clone Father was cancelled, he's hated his reflection even more. Being forever tied to someone as ATROCIOUS as Christopher Columbus really destroyed the last of Topher's sanity. Not that he was ever stable, or normal, though. If he could do so without being percieved as even weirder than he already is, he would wear a balaclava to school - anything that could cover his face, really. He feels as if whenever he's walking through Clone High's hallways, he's being stared at and judged. He cannot escape his face and body. It's a kind of torture many face, but not nearly on the same level as he does. He sees his face in history textbooks, at the side of huge paragraphs describing what that face has done. A little more often than sometimes, Topher wishes he was never born. Well, born is kind of an overstatement, really. Every year, he celebrates. Not a birthday, but "the anniversary of being cloned". That's what it really is to him. He wishes Scudworth never created him in that god foresaken lab. The vial which his life came from cursed him to live in a body he despised. Trapped him in an existance which he never wanted, and most likely will never appreciate. He often finds himself crying his eyes out until he falls asleep. Not that he would ever admit to it. He has to put on a confident face, pretend to be stuck up and pretencious to hide his insecurtiy.
That was until some "new" students appeared in his class. They were only a rumor, up until that day. "The Frozens" is what they were called. An ominous story of clones from two decades prior, which had been stuck in a freezer surrounded the school; everyone wondered, if they'd ever return. Topher was always skeptical. I mean, why wouldn't he be? What would be the reasoning behind freezing clones just to create new ones maybe 3 years later? It never made any sense to him, but he was proven wrong that day. He was even assigned to welcome one of said clones to the school.
