Work Text:
Kei watches as Tadashi sticks out his tongue in concentration, eyes locked onto the switch in his hands.
He's completely focused on his game in a way that looks similar to what he looks on court, before a pinch hit. Gathering his thoughts, concentrating on where exactly he wants the ball to drop at the other side of the net.
He must be fighting a boss but Kei is too tired to pretend he's particularly interested in Tadashi's game right now. Today's training was rough.
Tadashi had told him to go to sleep at least three times since they got back and he isn't sure why he hasn't done so already. Okay, so maybe he is a tiny bit interested in whatever Tadashi is doing at all times.
He takes off his glasses so he can properly lie down without smudging the lenses or having the frame press into the bridge of his nose.
“Are you sleeping?“
Kei hums, then shakes his head lightly, “Just resting my eyes.“
“I'll rest mine too then,“ Tadashi says and Kei watches him save his game before he turns off the console and puts it on the bedside table.
“Did you beat the boss? Or did you give up?“
He can't remember ever having seen Tadashi giving up on a boss, he can be really stubborn when it comes to video games. And volleyball, he supposes. Although he's more determined than stubborn in that case.
“What boss,“ Tadashi asks as he's settling down against Kei's chest, head resting above Kei's heart.
“The game just now?“
“Oh,“ he says, chuckling, “I was rearranging furniture and kept removing things I didn't want to.“
Kei snorts. “Okay. Did you win at rearranging furniture?“
Tadashi just laughs as if Kei had told the funniest story he's ever heard.
