Chapter Text
Dream, Ink, and Blue walked to Ccino's, Blue enjoyed the nice, gentle breeze. Even though Blue thought the direction they traveled in wasn't the right one, he didn't say anything.
(Later, Blue will somewhat regret not speaking his mind. But that's later, and this is now).
They walked for a few more minutes, making some small talk along the way. And going farther and farther away from the more traversed parts of the Monster town in Fluffytale, more specifically, where Ccino's was. Blue distantly realizes this, but doesn't say anything.
(Later, Blue will, once again, somewhat regret not saying something. But, again that's later, and this is now).
When they pasted an alleyway, Ink cheerfully said "I'm preeetty sure that's a short-cut!" Ink pointed to the alleyway. (Ink's a liar, he knew it wasn't a short-cut).
Blue and Dream shared skeptical looks, both of them remembered how bad Inks memory is. "Okay then, I guess we can try it out." Dream said, sounding unsure (Like Ink, Dream was-IS, a liar). Then Ink suddenly grabbed both theirs hands, - Blue had long learned that this was normal for Ink -, and tugged them towards it.
"Great, let'sgo!" Ink replied, speaking quite quickly, and sprinted down the alleyway.
(Blue sees a look on Dreams face, it's sadistic glee, but it's only there for a split second. Blue ignores it. Later, Blue will regret that. But that's later, and this is now).
They entered the alleyway, and ran a bit before slowing down a few paces. Blue saw it was a dead end. And he voiced this (What a mistake) "SORRY INK, BUT THIS LOOKS LIKE A DEAD END. MWEH HEH HEH! NO MATTER, WE'LL JUST HAVE TO GO THE NORMAL WAY!" Blue chirped out.
"Actually, Blue., we knew it was a dead end." Dream said (How could he be SUCH an idiot? How could he not SEE that murderous glint in Ink's eyes)?
"WHAT, DO YOU MEAN?" Blue asked slowly, hesitantly, and a few pitches quieter then he normally would. (Of course, now Blue knows what Dream meant).
"Blue, I will just go ahead and say it, loud and clear." The 'loud and clear' was said, well, loud and clear. Well not loud, just clear, Blue supposed. "We,-the Star Sanses, no longer need your service, my dear Blue." Dream explained, so so matter of factly.
"W-what?" Blue stuttered, and it came out a lot more then just a few pitches quieter then he usually spoke. He returned to his normal, loud, and boisterous tone "U-UM, YOU'RE KIDDING." Blue said, hoping he was correct. Dream & Ink just stared blandly at him."..RIGHT?"
"I am sorry, Blue., but we are not joking. You are no longer needed, nor welcomed, in the Star Sanses." Dream said, and in response, Blue's (metaphorical) heart shattered into itty, bitty, little pieces.
Then, in a much chipper tone, Dream went on "But do not worry, dear Blue! We know EXACTLY how to, resign, you from your duties." Dream whipped out his bow and grabbed an arrow, then notched it, a sight Blue associated (Blue used to, he used to... He doesn't anymore...) with fighting the Bad Gang.
Ink yoinked Broomie off his back, wielding it like a wand.
"DREAM!!, WE CAN BE CIVIL ABOUT THIS!" Blue tried to reason with him (Oh, how oh so hard he tried to).
"Nah, I much prefer this way." Ink beamed, he looked and sounded all to happy with this. Blue discreetly grabbed a token from his pocket, hiding it from view just behind his back. He'd gotten from Ink earlier that week. Basically, it could take him to any AU. He tossed it behind himself, a portal opened.
"Blue, don't you dare go through that gateway," Dream hissed at him, Blue took a step back "I'm warning you." There was so much venom in his voice. Blue whipped around then sprinted to the portal, Dream bolted after him, he glanced back and saw Dream's face was furious, and Ink's was mildly annoyed. He took the last step through, just before it closed.
