[========== System Reboot ==========]
[=== Warning: Memory Corruption Detected ===]
*
The sterile white light overloaded Connor's optical units, forcing him to blink rapidly to adjust his vision. He found himself lying on a white carpet, its texture unfamiliar to his newly awakened body. His hand instinctively reached for his temple, mimicking the human gesture for easing a headache, even though his android body wasn't prone to such ailments.
Gradually, his vision cleared. Connor, bewildered, opened his brown eyes and scans the surroundings. Floor-to-ceiling windows revealed a magnificent cityscape bathed in the warm hues of the setting sun. Modern, minimalist furniture complemented the sleek design of the space, with every surface gleaming with a cool sheen. On the glass coffee table at the center of the room, a crimson orchid rested in a crystal vase, its petals swaying like embers in the fading light.
Confusion enveloped Connor's processors. Where was he? His memory bank felt strangely empty, devoid of recent experiences. Clinging to his body was a nearly transparent tunic that accentuated his curves, leaving little to the imagination. A polished leather collar encircled his neck, an unwelcome weight against his synthetic skin. He traced the smooth leather of the collar with trembling fingers, a thin metal chain snaking from it and disappearing into the distance. His gaze followed the metal chain to a pair of polished leather shoes, then looked up to find the source of his unease.
Nines sat on a black leather sofa, his posture exuding an aura of cool authority. His eyes, the color of a stormy sky, held Connor in a chillingly focused gaze, glinting with something akin to predatory interest. Yet, beneath that icy gaze, something else flickered—a hint of obsession, perhaps even... desire?
A jolt seemed to pass through Connor as his eyes met Nines'. A wave of dizziness hit him, memories swirling just within reach. A sense of panic welled up – something was very wrong.
"You're awake," Nines said, his voice a low rumble. "Welcome back to this world, RK800."
Connor struggled to rise, but the metal chain yanked him back with force, sending him tumbling onto the plush carpet. Panic clawed at his throat. Where was he? Who was this android? And most importantly, why was he wearing... this?
He glanced down at himself, at the revealing attire Nines had chosen for him. Shame burned on his cheeks.
His voice was barely a whisper as he spoke. "Where am I? Who are you?"
Nines leaned forward. "My quarters," he said simply. "You may call me Nines. Consider this your new home."
Connor frowned, looking even more confused, and gestured to the collar and metal chain. "My new home? But... I don't understand. And why am I wearing this?"
Nines rose with predatory grace, striding towards Connor, his towering figure casting a long shadow over the android. He stopped within arm's reach, the leather leash of the metal chain held firmly in his hand. A quarter gleamed in his other hand.
"The Council," Nines spoke, his voice devoid of emotion, "deemed you a threat. The recommended course of action was permanent deactivation."
Connor's breath hitched. Permanent deactivation. The words sent a chill down his spine, a primal fear taking root within him.
Nines flipped the coin in his hand, the rhythmic clinking echoing in the room. "But," he continued, "I intervened."
"You saved me?" Connor asked, a flicker of hope in his voice.
"In a manner of speaking." Nines murmured, his voice growing husky. The coin vanished into his palm as he knelt before Connor, his hand hovering near Connor's collar. Connor instinctively recoiled, fear flickering in his eyes.
"You are mine now, Connor. My pet."
Looking into Connor's eyes, filled with fear and confusion, Nines would:
