Summary
The coin felt small under his thumb, but he moved to flip it as his hands shook. The gentle plink against the wood floors sounded deafening and Arthur held his breath into the following seconds.
His lungs crushed inward with the need for air, tears springing to his eyes. Blindly he stroked across the floor, his movements becoming more erratic until he found it again. He flipped it again… and again.. and again.
