Work Text:

Sierra tucked some hair behind Cody's ear, grinning down at him as he sat, eyes half-lidded. He was exhausted, but if he fell asleep around Sierra, he'd wake up with his socks off, his shirt slightly rolled up, and smelling like her. He had to find somewhere safe. He excused himself to 'the bathroom' before slipping down to the cargo hold and finding a few softer bags he could bury himself under, and he was out like a light.

...

Noah had visited the cargo hold to get fresh clothes for tomorrow. He looked around-the plane's bumpy flight path always scrambled up the bags. He noticed his bag, and picked it up, to reveal Cody's sleeping face.

"What the.."

He seemed to have covered himself in bags of clothes and a long, white sheet draped over the bags, giving him some air. But there was a huge chance of him getting crushed if the plane made a sharp turn-which it did a lot, Chef was an insane pilot. In order to keep the geek's bones from looking like reeses pieces, Noah crouched down and shook the top of his shoulder.

"Hey, Cody. Wake up."

"Mmm...wha?"

Cody mumbled sleepily before sitting up straight, eyes wide.

"Did Sierra find me?"

"No, this is just a horrible sleeping position. Do you do this every night?"

"No, I just haven't slept in a while, I wanted to get away from Sierra tonight."

"Understandable."

"So what time is it?"

"Five."

Noah replied, reading from his watch,

"I fell asleep early, so I woke up early. Couldn't get back to sleep. Now get out of there."

He offered Cody a hand, which he took, pulling himself up. The geek's hand was a little clammy, but surprisingly soft, and comfortably warm. He forgot to let go for a moment.

"Thanks."

Cody dusted himself off,

"So, you wanna stay down here with me? I'm lonely, and if I go up there, Sierra's gonna bug me."

"Alright. Just for a bit, though."

Cody immediately snuggled up beside Noah as he sat, leaning against the wall.

"What are you doing?"

Noah questioned as Cody rested his head on his chest and shrugged in reply. The bookworm just rested his hand in Cody's hair and soaked in the moment.

He knew Cody was falling asleep, his arms were loosening around Noah. He supposed he could just let him, he probably didn't get enough sleep these days, what with Sierra harrassing him every two seconds. Noah was so busy thinking about Cody that he didn't even notice himself drifting off.

...

Noah blinked a few times at the flash of a camera.

He opened his eyes and looked up to see an enraged Sierra, holding said camera in one hand, the other hand a balled fist. The bookworm shook Cody, hard, until he woke up, getting off him.

Sierra grabbed Cody under the arms, lifting him off the ground for a moment, back to her, like he was just a toy.

"Bye, Noah, see you around."

Cody mumbled sleepily, rubbing his eyes.

"No you will NOT, Codykins! I'll deal with you later, Noah. You stay away from my Cody Wody."

Noah opened his mouth to argue, but Cody shook his head. He gave Noah a quick hug goodbye, then whispered into his ear,

"We'll do this again, right?"

Noah nodded, giving Cody a small kiss on the cheek. Sierra gasped and whipped Cody away, dragging him out of the cargo hold. Noah waved him off with a soft smile, forgetting about how Sierra now had a picture of the two cuddling.

But it didn't matter when Cody liked him.
