He stumbles out of the bar, like any other night, with a cigarette in hand and beer in his belly. Even with the falling snow, he feels comfortably warm, thanks to the alcohol. This time, he didn't start any fights. He kept to himself, minded his business, and surprisingly, paid his tab in full.
She had been pestering him about making friends or finding his people or something… something like that. Always reminding him that humans aren't meant to be alone forever. In response, he always reminds her that he's never alone. That voice in his head, his only friend, his only companion? He likes to think of them as partners, but they both know she's the one in charge here.
