There was a knock on his window. Again.
“Auggieee! Please open the window! I just want to talk!”
Did he seriously climb up just to get to his window? When he can, for one, just knock on his home door? Even if he didn’t let Winnie in, his mother sure would’ve. But his window was right by his bed, so he couldn’t just ignore it. Reluctantly, he opened it.
”Oh, thank you, Auggie!”
Pretty quickly, Winnie began crawling through the window and collapsed onto his bed.
”You could’ve gone through the door, why did you...”
”It seemed cool! Like in Rapunzel!”
”Right… But… Why are you here?”
”Uhm…Oh that.. I didn’t think about it!”
“So.. you walked to my house, climbed up to my window, on the second floor, for no reason?”
”No! There was definitely a reason! But I didn’t exactly think out what to do, now that I’m here..!”
”Uhm… Right..”
”Oh! You were watching a movie!?”
Winnie quickly moved into a sitting position and grabbed the remote that had been near Augustine’s hand in excitement.
”…Winnie?”
”Oh, spooky movie!!”
Winnie unpaused the movie, which had pretty much just started despite the randomness of Winnie’s entry.
”…It’s late, Winnie…”
”Okay!?”
”Do you really wanna watch a movie right now?”
Winnie was still happily smiling and swaying around.
“Yes.”
”…Uhm.. Well, I guess we can.”
After Augustine began playing the movie, Winnie started getting comfortable. As in, Winnie began cuddling up to Augustine.
During the middle of the movie, they began getting sleepier… or mostly Augustine. Winnie was more high-energy between the two.
“Auggie, what happens in this part again?”
”I-I don’t know…”
After 15 minutes.
”Auggie, do you know w-“
”No… I...I don’t…”
More of what happened in this or that was spoken by Winnie. Of course, Augustine was too tired to give a clear answer. But in a sleepy haze, the onslaught of annoying and unnecessary questions began becoming comforting.
"Winnie..."
"Huh? Yeah, Auggie?"
"I really like... like you. Like really much. I think I love you."
"...I love you too, Auggie!"
"No, like I really, really love you.."
"Me too, Auggie.."
"I have a crush on you... I guess..."
Silence, Winnie was suddenly silent, and Augustine was passing out.
"Auggie? Did you say you had a crush on me?"
Augustine didn't make any noises besides his intense sleeping noises.
"Auggie! What? Don’t just fall asleep after that!"
