Work Text:

The day had started as a sunny one.

Not a lot of clouds in the sky, barely even one. This meant good weather for a little walk in the park, or maybe playing some sports outside. Probably more likely the first one.

Crowley had decided to roam around out of pure boredom around the town as Aziraphale opened the bookshop in the afternoon. In the end, it was good weather outside.

Until it wasn't, really.

As he walked around, eyes focusing on the different humans and dogs enjoying the weather too, clouds started to build up in the sky. Terrifyingly quickly, in all honesty. The demon raised an eyebrow at this, but decided to ignore the occurrence. It was probably just some random clouds, anyways. Nothing to worry about.

Until it started raining. A soft, gentle rain that became a rough and loud one. It was like God herself was planning to flood the earth for a second time.

When Crowley noticed this, he didn't have a minute to process it. His clothes were instantly soaking wet, attaching to his skin in an overwhelmingly uncomfortable way.
"Fuck's sake." He muttered under his breath, running a hand through his already completely drowned hair.

Aziraphale was disturbed from his peace as he heard a loud noise come from outside in the street. He looked out the window, trying to identify the noise as he closed his book and let it gently on the couch. Rain. It had started raining like crazy, like if the gravity had been inverted and the sea had decided to pour over the ground.

He smiled for a moment at the sound of the rain, until he remembered. Crowley. The demon had gone for a while some hours ago and hadn't returned yet.

Worry instantly washed over him as if it was water itself. He got up from the couch, seemingly lost and not knowing what to do. Did Crowley get caught in the middle of the rain? Should he call his cellphone and try to check how the –probably soaking– demon was?

His own thoughts were interrupted by a sound from the bookshop's front door. He raised his gaze, focusing it on the tall figure entering the building. The demon had indeed gotten caught in the rain, his hair losing it's volume as it fell slightly over his eyes, and his clothes sticking to his body like it was s second layer of skin.

"Oh, dear lord.." The angel muttered, quickly approaching Crowley.
"Dear lord, indeed. Decided to pull a prank, didn't she?" Crowley slightly groaned, taking his coat off as quickly as he could.

"Oh, give me that." Aziraphale muttered, taking the jacket from Crowley's arms and trying to get the demon out of more of his clothes as he could. "You need to take this off quickly, dear. You could get a cold. I don't want you having a cold." Aziraphale murmured to himself.

Crowley giggled softly. The angel snapped his fingers, flipping the bookshop's sign into a "closed" one and making the puddle of water forming on the bookshop's ground disappear. "I'll get you a warm drink, alright?" Aziraphale said, looking up at the demon.

"Alright." He smiled.
"You can let the wet clothes back there. Miracle yourself anything warm, we'll go home a bit soon today." The angel said as he started walking towards the backroom of the bookshop.

Aziraphale finished the tea and poured it into a mug, grabbing a small towel and walking back to the couch. He saw Crowley had miracled himself some random black t-shirt and pants, but the demon was shivering like anything. He sat next to him, leaving the cup in the table next to them.

He grabbed the towel gently, reaching for the demon's head.
"May I?" He asked. Crowley nodded, tilting his head slightly. He ran the towel gently through his hair, drying it. Crowley closed his eyes at the pleasant feeling, tilting his head towards Aziraphale. The angel giggled softly, kissing his forehead.

"Are you cold, dear?" He placed the towel down, reaching for Crowley's hand. He took it gently, noticing how cold the demon's skin was. In Crowley's part, the heat of Aziraphale's skin instantly felt inviting, holding onto his hand for dear life.

"Yeah." He murmured, laying his head on the angel's shoulder. Aziraphale snapped his fingers, making a gray blanket appear next to the couch. He grabbed it gently, laying it on top of the demon. "Better?" He said.

"Yep." Crowley smiled, throwing an arm on top of Aziraphale. Aziraphale smiled as well, wrapping his own arm around Crowley's shoulders and rubbing his back gently. He reached for the mug and offered it to him.

"You should check the weather next time, dear. And take a shower when we get home. A warm, warm one. I don't want you being all cold for another week." He giggled softly, running a hand through Crowley's hair. Crowley groaned, cuddling closer to Aziraphale.

" 's not my fault I'm a snake." He hissed.
"Never said it was, dear." He smiled, kissing the demon's cheek. The rain had turned a bit more gentle at that point, making little soothing sounds outside.

Crowley looked up at him, staring into his blue eyes like a curious puppy. Aziraphale stared back down at him with an innocent smile for a few seconds. "What is it with you?" He said with a small giggle.
"Nothing." Crowley muttered. "I like your eyes." He said quietly.

Aziraphale smiled. "Thank you, dear." He said, leaning down to give him a small but considerable kiss.

"I love yours too.”
