Chapter Text
"Bye! Thanks for the ride!" Jade shouted as she bid her friend goodbye. They had spent the day together, watching a horror movie called The Djinn. Then, as her friend was driving her home, since she still didn't have a car, they spotted a garage sale and decided to check it out.
There was so much stuff there that Jade assumed someone had passed and their loved ones were trying to sell the last things they had. It was sad, but one man's trash was certainly Jade and her friend's treasure. She wished she could've taken the whole lot since she just moved into her new apartment and needed everything under the sun. But, she was broke from buying the apartment, and didn't have a car to take any of the big stuff home.
After a while of browsing, Jade came across something that immediately drew her eye. A golden oval locket lay in a pile of knotted jewelry. The carvings of flowers and birds were beautiful; she couldn't take her eyes off it.
It was just sitting there, like it hadn't been touched, despite the rest of the necklaces and bracelets beneath being a tangled mess from people rummaging through. It was as though it was placed there just for her.
She rubbed her thumb over the metal work as she unlocked her door and stepped into her small and empty apartment. There was only a musty couch, a small, old TV, and a dining table that occupied the downstairs area, and even less was upstairs.
After setting her stuff down, she leaned against her kitchen island and admired the locket even more. Letting curiosity get the better of her, she pressed her finger between the two halves and pried them open.
As soon as she unfolded it, a rush of air blew her deep brown hair back, forcing her to squeeze her eyes shut and drop the locket.
When she opened her eyes again, a green mist filled her kitchen. Blinking a couple of times, she realized that mist was consolidated into the shape of a man. He was tall and floating a inch off the ground, though she couldn't make out a lot of his features.
"Ah, thank you for freeing me." He observed her. She couldn't quite see his eyes, but she knew they were inspecting her. "What might your name be so I can thank you properly?"
A shiver ran down her spine. "J-Jade," she stuttered.
"Well, Jade, thank you very much. You may call me Callahan."
She didn't know what to do or what to think. There was a man made of mist in her kitchen. "Wh-What are y-you?"
"I'm what you may call a genie. I had been bound to that locket until you opened it, of course."
The movie she watched with her friend earlier that day flashed through her mind. "A genie?"
She thought she saw him smile. "Correct."
"Like the ones who give three wishes?" she asked, assuming the worst.
"Precisely! Oh, good. I thought you were entirely clueless there for a moment. Now, since you were kind enough to free me, I shall grant you those three wishes. However, I would like to make a humble request."
Jade let out a breath of relief. "O-kay."
"I confess, I am not a normal genie. I am in need of a physical body, but I know a way for me to get one. In exchange for the three wishes, I ask that you allow me to use your womb to make a physical form."
"My womb?" Jade asked, panic running through her veins once again. "Like a baby?"
"Yes. But it won't be a normal pregnancy," the genie explained. "The process will be very fast, I give you my word. You only have to give birth to me."
Jade stood there with her mind racing. Three wishes could give her a lot. She could wish for a car or a house, or money. Or all of the above. She could wish for a job better than a server at the sushi place down the road. Or a degree, so she didn’t have to go to college. The possibilities were endless. All she needed to do was give birth once.
“You’ll be the size of a normal baby, right?”
“If I didn’t know any better, I would think you’ve run into a genie before with all these questions. Clever girl. Yes, you will deliver a normal, human-sized baby. I will take care of the rest.”
How hard could it be? One baby for a head start in her life.
She could hardly refuse.
“Okay,” Jade said, her chin high. “I’ll let you use my womb to make a physical body for yourself.”
“Wonderful news,” the genie beamed. “I will now start the process. Are you ready?”
She hesitated for a moment, realizing the reality of her situation. Many things could go wrong.
But this was a new life she was talking about.
Jade nodded, solidifying the deal and giving the beanie the go-ahead.
Without hesitation, the genie flew straight into her stomach, green mist flying at her and then disappearing.
There was a moment where nothing happened, just silence as Jade waited for the worst. She should’ve asked more questions.
Then, she felt it. A weird sensation in her stomach that felt like her stomach was gurgling. But before Jade could figure out what was happening, her belly began to grow.
At first, it just looked like she was bloated, as if she’d eaten too big a lunch. But it turned into a real pregnant belly.
Her breasts felt heavier, and her hips ached as the pressure from her stomach pressed in all directions.
Her crop top could barely contain the mass growing in her stomach, and her mini skirt dug into her skin.
Jade could only whimper helplessly as her belly grew bigger and bigger, eventually growing to the size of a full-term pregnancy.
Bracing one hand under her stomach and the other on the kitchen island, she took deep breaths, trying to wrap her head around what just happened.
She looked down at herself and realized she couldn’t see her legs or feet. Jade waddled over to the dirty mirror in her entryway and admired herself. She was huge, looking every bit the part of a mother ready to pop at any moment. A part of her kind of liked it. She looked hot even with a giant belly.
Tucking her auburn hair behind her ears, she admired herself.
But before she could get too carried away looking at herself in the mirror, her stomach tightened, and a wave of pain radiated through her body.
Right. I actually have to give birth now. She thought to herself.
Jade barely took another step toward the living room before another contraction ripped through her, more powerful this time.
“Holy shit,” she mumbled to herself.
The genie wasn’t kidding when he said the process would be fast.
Another contraction that was even more powerful tightened her belly. Liquid ran down her legs and began to pool on the floor beneath her.
Now, she started to panic. Everything was happening so fast. She needed to take off her thong and skirt and make it to the bathroom.
Her belly hung so low that she couldn’t reach the buttons to take off her skirt.
She let out a low groan with the next contraction that brought intense pressure on her hips.
There was no way Jade was making it to the bathroom when she was getting a contraction every 30 seconds.
She tried to fumble with her skirt more or at least rip off her thong, but it was no use. The puddle beneath her slowly grew, and the pressure in her hips grew unbearable.
Her heart pounded with the next contraction when she felt the undeniable urge to push. This was it. Jade would have to give birth there in the middle of her apartment on the floor.
“Holy shit,” she said to herself again. “Okay, this is really happening.”
There was no time to admire her belly or calm herself down or grasp the situation.
Jade’s body immediately began pushing with the next contraction, feeling the baby inch down her birth canal. The pain of stretching her insides was almost as bad as the contractions that ripped through her.
She lowered herself to her knees just as the next contraction carried the baby to her opening. She bore down before the contraction subsided and felt her lips part as the head inched out against her thong.
A moan escaped from her lips. A part of her, deep in the pits of her mind, liked the feeling of being stretched so wide while giving birth. The other part almost couldn’t bear the pain that ripped through her. She needed to push the genie baby out and fast.
Jade let the next contractions take over, slowly pushing the head out bit by bit. Somehow her thong slipped to the side, giving her less resistance. Finally, after what felt like 10 minutes, she managed to push the head completely out with a moan and a gush of fluid.
Her lungs burned as she sucked in ragged breaths. The baby twisted inside of her, rubbing against her most sensitive spots. A shudder raked through her as she bit down the pleasure she felt despite the pain she was enduring.
“Okay, genie. Time the get the fuck out of me.”
Jade waited for the next contraction, took a deep breath, and pushed with everything she had left. The pain rose to a peak as she pushed the shoulders out. But as quickly as it rose, it was immediately gone.
The genie baby hit the hardwood floor with a splash. The immediate relief was like a bucket of water to a flame.
Only her panting filled the silence that stretched through the room. When she didn’t hear crying, she turned around and settled on her backside, still exhausted from her labor.
Instead of seeing a baby between her legs, she found a man standing in front of her. He looked at his hands and arms as though they were the most amazing thing.
The man wore dark, loose linen pants with a tunic that wrapped loosely around his torso so that a sliver of chest was exposed almost to his naval. His skin was golden, radiant even in her dim apartment. Dark brown curls dipped to his brow with a neat trimmed beard hugging his carved features.
If Jade didn’t know any better, she’d think he was beautiful.
His mouth quirked when he met her gaze, as if he could sense her eyes looking him over completely.
“That was a dreadful experience,” he said, now taking in her state.
The umbilical cord still stuck out of her, connected to nothing but the placenta inside of her, still slightly swollen belly.
With everything she just went through, Jade had to stop herself from scoffing at him.
“Let me help you with that.”
With a snap of the genie’s fingers, the umbilical cord was gone, along with her swollen belly and the mess she had made on the floor. Even her thong was returned to its place over her opening. All the evidence of what just transpired over the last 20 minutes disappeared in the blink of an eye. Beside the man standing over her.
A chill trickled down Jade’s spine at the thought she might be dreaming. Perhaps this was a nightmare the darkest part of her mind conjured due to stress.
When the man reached a hand out to help her up, she hesitated to take it. Somehow, she was more scared of him now, in human form, than she was as his green mist.
Jade reached up and took the genie’s hand. It was unusually soft, but his grip was strong, helping her from the floor with ease.
“I must say that was quite impressive,” the genie said.
“Thank you,” Jade chuckled nervously. “That was probably one of the hardest things I’ve done.”
“I don’t doubt that, but you handled it well.” He paused for a moment, his eyes distant in thought, before turning to her again with a smile she was sure made women swoon. “I would like to give you a counteroffer.”
If she wasn’t still trying to wrap her head around what she’d just done, it would’ve worked. “What do you mean?”
The genie took a deep breath, his lips pursed, as though he was unsure he should go forward. “Let me be honest with you. I needed a physical body because it was taken by a vengeful witch. It’s a long story which I’d rather not explain. But I used to have a great empire. A kingdom. And I desire to have that again. While I have a plan to get it back, it’s quite—“ he dropped his gaze to his feet and furrowed his brows, ”—unconventional.”
When Jade didn’t say anything, he continued. “I would need to start from an absolute scratch. And until…recent events,” he said, returning his gaze to Jade’s, a glint of mischief in his eye, “I thought no one would agree to.”
She did not like the look her gave her and the insinuation that he thought she would agree to whatever egregious plan he had to rebuild his empire. “What is your offer?”
“In exchange for using your womb to grow my people, for every five deliveries, I will give you one wish. Including the three I owe you already.”
“H-how many would that be?”
“However many you are willing to deliver.”
Her eyes searched for the deceit in his, but found something entirely unreadable. A pit grew in Jade’s stomach.
This could be exactly what she needed to get out of this stingy apartment and quit her serving job to actually go to school. Her dream of being an author was starting to look a little more realistic.
But giving birth to one child was the worst kind of pain she’d ever felt. To do that for an entire kingdom? It was torture; she didn’t know if it was worth putting herself through.
Unless she was smart about her wishes.
The genie must’ve seen the conflict on her face and offered an olive branch. “Would you like to see my kingdom? Or I suppose what’s left of it.”
There was a sadness to his voice when he spoke of his kingdom and his curse that Jade puzzled over. The fact that he was willing to take her to his kingdom before she even agreed to anything showed that he was desperate. Something she was sure the genie didn’t enjoy showing.
Seeing his kingdom, however, would let her know that he wasn’t trying to trick her into a torture she couldn’t escape.
Jade lifted her chin and nodded sharply, “Yes, I would.”
A grin, that was far too close to a devious smile for Jade’s liking, spread across his face. The genie held out his hand, “Come with me.”
When she took his hand in hers, they were immediately surrounded by green mist. All she could feel was the genie’s firm grip. Everything else dissolved into the hunter green mist that the genie first appeared as.
Only a moment later, the mist subsided, falling like the morning dew.
They were certainly no longer in her apartment. Jade blinked, taking a moment to fully soak in her surroundings.
Where they were in her apartment only a moment ago, now they stood on a balcony overlooking a city of wooden and stone buildings. However, the city below them was utterly empty, not a soul living within the worn-down walls. The buildings were falling apart, and some of them no longer had roofs. It was a sorry sight, making her wonder how long it had been since this place had bustled with life.
She spun to take in the building behind her. Calling it a building did not do it justice, however. Towering stories above them was a decadent castle with spires and towers, stained glass windows, and grand architecture. Having only one view from so close left Jade sure the castle was even more impressive from far away.
“What is this place?” Jade asked, not knowing of any place on earth that still had cities and castles as grand as these.
“The Isles of the Vale. These isles are the homes of many mystical and fantastical creatures. Some of which you may know from human fairy tales. This,” he gestured to their surroundings, “is Misthaven.”
“Mystical creatures from fairy tales? Like vampires and faeries?”
“Precisely,” he smirked. His smile faded when he turned back to the misty roads in the distance. “This used to be a place for people of all kinds of people including humans.”
“What happened?”
“A spiteful witch from an isle far from here thought to settle a petty squabble. A simple misunderstanding. But she used her power to wipe our people from the physical plane, leaving their souls to roam the isle, alone, and without purpose.”
Jade began to connect the dots. She had a funny feeling she knew why the genie needed her help. “How many lived here?”
“Two thousand.”
The blood rushed from her face. Two thousand lives were wiped from this isle within moments. And two thousand lives she agreed to help restore. The math was stacking against her in her head.
The daunting number repeated over and over inside her thoughts. The isle was beautiful, and Jade knew it would have been even more beautiful if people were lining the streets; if there was life within the buildings.
“I know the number may be daunting,” the genie—Cal said. “But everything will happen at your own pace.”
Jade mulled it over some more in her head. She could only hope the witch was gone. It would certainly take a long time to restore all of the souls, and if the witch came back for some reason, she would probably be the first one the witch would take her revenge on.
“What would happen to me after we hypothetically restore all of the souls? Would you dump me back in the human world?”
“If you wanted, you would be welcome to stay here in Misthaven. You certainly wouldn’t be ‘dumped’”
Jade took Cal in once again. His brown curls tussled in the soft breeze that blew over the balcony like the cold memories that haunted the isle. His green eyes were ancient. A shiver tickled down her back at the realization that she had no idea how old the genie in front of her was.
“Do you have a decision?”
She thought about everything she could get from this, and if she played her cards right, it wouldn’t be that dreadful of an experience. She was desperate for a second chance at life. Maybe almost too desperate.
Then she took a deep breath. “I’ll do it.”
“I’m very glad to hear it. Before we begin, let me take you to your private quarters, and you can think of your three wishes on our way there.”
He jerked his head in the direction of the castle. Jade followed him through the ornate stone halls, passing by elaborate paintings and tapestries depicting nobility and various events Jade knew nothing about and probably never would.
After climbing numerous staircases, they finally arrived at her apartment.
When the genie opened the door and motioned for her to go inside, Jade took in the massive suite. They walked into a sitting room with various couches and chairs. There was a kitchenette and a dining table in the far corner of the room, with an island that separated it from the seating area.
Her mouth gaped at the beautiful room the genie was giving to her. If this room was ornate, she couldn’t imagine what the bedroom and bathroom looked like.
“Wow,” Jade said.
“Do you like it?”
“Of course, I like it. It’s beautiful in here.” It was also something which she’d never seen before.
She walked over to the fireplace next to the giant sectional couch and ran her hand over the marble hearth.
The genie perched on the arm of a chair, watching her take in all the finery. “Have you thought of what you would like your three wishes to be?”
“Yeah, I think I know,” she said. “Since you said I get a wish for every 5 births, I figured I didn’t need to worry abt wishing for a new car or whatever just yet. So, I wish not to feel any pain during the births, or after or before. Anything relating to the births, I do not want to feel the pain. For my second wish, I wish for my body to return to its former state after each birth. That means any stretching that happens will be reversed as soon as I am done giving birth to each baby. And for my third wish, I wish that my body would be able to handle anything you may put inside of me. Meaning I will stretch however far I need to without consequence, and I will not have any harsh physical side effects of the pregnancies.”
A corner of his mouth quirked up. “Have you dealt with my kind before?”
She thought of all the movies she’s watched and the stories she’s heard about genies. “No, but I know a thing or two.”
“Well, Jade. Your wishes are granted,” he said as he bowed to her. “Are you ready to begin?”
“Uhm…I guess? How is this going to work?”
“With just a snap of my fingers, I will trigger your pregnancy. We’ll start slow at first. Just one baby. And you will progress slowly until you go into labor.”
“O-kay.”
“Perfect.” He snapped his fingers. “I have to handle things around the Isle, so I will be away. I’ve moved all your belongings from your home into this suite. Please make yourself at home, explore the castle, whatever your heart desires.”
Jade glanced down at herself. “How long is this going to take?”
“That I’m unsure of. Unfortunately, the first few deliveries are going to be slow, but once we get our staff back, life will become much better around here, I promise. Do you need anything else before I depart?”
She shook her head.
“Very well, I shall check on you later.”
As soon as the door clicked behind him, her stomach growled. When she opened the cupboards in the kitchen, she saw that it was fully stocked with everything she needed to cook almost anything she could think of. Just wanting food as soon as possible, she made herself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and plopped on the couch to eat it.
She looked up at the hearth and realized the genie must have magicked a TV over the fireplace while she was looking away. Though she didn’t question it as she reached for the remote and turned on the most awful reality TV she could find. She needed to pass the day one way or another.
It felt like Jade blinked, and the sun had set behind the hills in the distance. Her belly had been growing at a steady pace throughout the whole day that she barely noticed a difference and until she stood from the couch. The extra weight was hard to miss. Along with the fact that her mini skirt was once again digging into her hips.
The skin on her belly was warm from stretching so much, so she decided to take a bath to end the night and hopefully ease her skin.
She was relaxing in the warm water when she began to feel her stomach slowly twitch. The feeling was weird, but Jade thought nothing of it, playing it off to her muscles straining against the growing baby in her womb.
Suddenly, she heard footsteps in the sitting room.
“Jade?” The genie called out.
“Taking a bath. I’ll be out soon,” Jade answered.
More footsteps echoed on the other side of the door. “Are you okay?” the genie asked, his voice closer this time. “Can you open the door?”
“I’m fine. I’ll be out soon.”
There was a moment of silence and more twitching from her belly, along with a new pressure settling between her hips.
“I’m coming in.”
“Wha-“
Before Jade could protest, the genie somehow undid the lock and opened the door. His face was clouded with worry.
Jade threw her arms over her breasts in an attempt to cover herself despite being fully naked in the tub and sat up.
“What the hell. I said I would be out soon.”
His eyes darted below the water of the tub. “Are you…”
Jade just looked at him with furrowed brows.
“Can you not tell?”
The pressure between her hips grew stronger with each second, and the twitching in her belly continued. But Jade barely noticed with the genie now in the room.
“Tell what?”
“My magic told me you were-“ he walked over to her in the tub, and his eyes sparkled at the sight of her belly.
“My eyes are up here. Your magic told you what about me, Genie?”
“Cal. Please call me Cal,” he said, still oggling over her distended belly.
Jade bristled. He wasn’t even trying to hide it. Why was he acting so strange all of the sudden? “Forget about me. Are you okay?”
The genie didn’t answer.
“Okay, you know what I’m just gonna get out-“ but before she could finish her sentence, the urge to push overwhelmed her, causing her to pause.
“I need to push. Holy shit, I’m in labor.”
The genie blinked, jolting back to reality. “Here, put your legs up here,” he said quickly as he tapped the lip of the tub and knelt next to it. “I’ll help.”
She wanted to argue, but everything logical left her brain. Only the carnal need to push drove her to lean back in the tub and hook her legs over the edges.
With the next urge, she bore down as hard as she could. Now that she wasn’t in pain, she could feel the baby descend further down and stretch her insides. It wasn’t painful at all. It almost felt…good.
The next push caused the baby to progress more than she thought, sliding over her g-spot perfectly.
“I see the head. Keep pushing, you’re doing great.”
“Oh gods,” she breathed, “this feels so good.” Her skin flushed with her growing arousal.
With her next push, she could feel her pussy opening, spreading wide. The baby was at a crown and still hitting her g-spot perfectly.
The genie must’ve seen how much she was turned on. Without Jade realizing, he rolled up his sleeve and slipped a hand into the water. and began massaging her opening, coaxing the baby further out. Then, on her next push, he rubbed his thumb over her clit. Going back and forth. But she couldn’t argue, couldn’t tell him to stop. It felt too good.
Her breath came faster as everything came to a crescendo all at once. Her moans echoed throughout the bathroom as she came so hard, the baby’s head fully emerged.
“Very good,” the genie purred, still massaging her clit.
Her contractions were on top of each other, and Jade could only keep pushing. Her body spasmed as her orgasm continued to tear through her body.
“There you go. Just a little more.”
She moaned and bore down one final time, and the baby slid out of her and into the water.
The piercing wail of the newborn filled the bathroom as the genie guided it above water. Jade was surprised to see there was no umbilical cord as she watched her belly return to normal, just as she wished.
The genie lowered the baby to the ground, setting him on the cold tile in the middle of the room. He stood, turning to her and winking with a smirk on his lips. A strange maternal feeling tugged at her as she watched the genie snap his finger. Within the blink of an eye, a cloud of green mist exploded around the baby. Jade shielded her eyes. When she opened them again, she saw a new man standing in the center of the bathroom where the crying baby had once been.
He was as tall, if not a little taller, than the genie. Shaggy black hair framed his face, matching his dark tunic. His brown eyes inspected his hands, then the room, before landing on Jade. A shiver raced down her spine at his gaze.
The genie, with a spark of awe in his eyes, grasped the man’s shoulders, drawing his gaze away from Jade. The man’s face immediately lit up.
“Son of a bitch, you did it.”
The genie pulled the man into a brotherly embrace. Jade folded her arms on the lip of the tub and rested her head.
“Zack, I missed you, man. But I shouldn’t take all the credit.”
The genie stepped over to the tub and held out a hand to Jade.
She hesitated a moment. Though she supposed the literally birthed the man standing in front of her, it didn’t matter if he saw her naked at this point.
Water sloshed to the floor as she stepped from the tub.
“I would like to introduce you to Jade,” the genie said.
Zack’s gaze did not stray from hers as he held out his hand. Jade took his soft yet strong hand in hers, and he took a knee, bowing his head to her.
“I do not have the proper words to thank you for helping our people.”
“Uh—yeah. No problem,” she said, trying not to cringe from still being naked.
Zack rose to his feet and turned to the genie. “Am I the first?”
“Yes. I was thinking of being Clara back next.”
“How long are the gestations?” Zack asked, glancing at Jade.
The genie rubbed the back of his neck. “There isn’t a set time. Yours was around 12 hours.”
“Can you shorten them? The more of the posse we can bring back soon, the better.”
“The posse?” Jade asked, crossing her arms over her chest in an attempt to cover herself up. For some reason, she couldn’t get a read on Zack. His appearance was sharp, like his gaze could cut her like a knife. But the way he knelt in front of her and thanked her…
“We call our executive leaders our posse,” the genie chuckled. “Anyway, shall we continue with the next?”
Right…they had a long road ahead of them. “Sure.”
And with a snap of his finger, she was pregnant again.
“Well, I know it’s late, and you’re probably exhausted, so we will leave you to get some rest.”
She smiled sweetly. “Thank you,” Jade said, just glad that she only had to do one birth today.
“No,” Zack said with a warm nod before stepping out of the bathroom after the genie, “thank you.”
