Chapter 1: Viva Las Vegas

Chapter Text

The last thing any of the Smiling Friends anticipated was a fully paid holiday over the New Years break at Las Vegas. Mr. Boss, enraptured by the spirit of the season, had announced to the boys how he was taking them to Las Vegas.

Not only that, but they were staying at the Marriott, one of the best hotels in Las Vegas.

Pim had cried at the Christmas party when Mr. Boss had handed him his flight ticket, tucked into a Christmas card.

Regretfully, he could only afford it for his employees only. No fathers, no family members, no girlfriends or wives.

Charlie had stood up so fast he’d knocked his dinner plate, splattering his chest with what was left of his Christmas dinner much to Zoey’s dismay.

She couldn’t even be at the airport to wave him goodbye, as Zoey was travelling home to her parents farm for the New Years celebrations which, sadly, Charlie had to miss out on.

“Try not to gamble away your savings.” was her only warning to him before they parted ways until the New Years.

Charlie did not agree to any rules.

The plane ride was six hours long.

Six hours of Pim sitting by the window. Besides him was Charlie who eternally complained about being cramped despite both Pim and Allan, who sandwiched him on both sides, weren’t stealing any leg room or elbow room.

He was just a complainer.

Allan meanwhile was not putting up with the child who was kicking the back of his seat. He didn’t last a minute until he was standing up and snapping at the child, and their parent, about pestering him.

Pim had to use all his skill as a Smiling Friends to avoid an altercation which would have wound up on someone's instagram or worse, Tik Tok.

The rest of the flight went by without any issue.

Landing in Las Vegas was like landing in a new country. Even though it was known for its warm weather, this time of year it was surprisingly cool and relaxing. Cloudy too. Pim couldn’t complain but Charlie could, and did.

Still, dropping their things off in the hotel Mr. Boss wished the boys a good break. That he’d see them on January 3rd at the airport, and warned them to not be late. Then he all but vanished.

Glep talked excitedly at his co-workers, saluted them and all but faded out of sight.

“See you two lay ter.” Allan said as he gave them both a wave and headed off.

Charlie looked down at Pim and while a part of him wanted to seek out some drinking adventures by himself, knew that Pim would be eaten alive by Las Vegas and spat back out. He stared down at his pink, big eyed friend, and sighed.

“You wanna come check out the fountains?”

“Oh yes please!!”

It was just water, but it was pretty water. Sprayed so high into the air it was a marvel, and Charlie couldn’t help but watch other people as Pim was in awe over the water. Charlie knew pick pocketers were a threat, and that Pim would be drawn in by those buskers with sliding cups and ‘is this your card’ tricks.

Man did Pim know how lucky he was to have him here with him?

They only had five days here and his first day was spent going where Pim wanted but at least by the end of it Pim promised that tomorrow it would be Charlie’s pick as to what to do as he’d been such an amazing great incredible best friend in all the world so he was owed it.

He hated how he blushed at the glowing compliments. Because they were clearly true.

Mr. Boss had indeed gotten them rooms at the Marriott, but it was two rooms. Which meant sharing a space each.

It wasn’t that big of a deal, Charlie had seen Pim naked before. And he’d seen him naked too. Not that big a deal, right? Right.

Charlie still watches Pim vanish into the bathroom to change for bed while he just stripped to his boxers. He tossed his worn clothes into the corner as he climbed into bed as he rolled onto his side to look out the window.

The twinkling lights of Las Vegas stared back at him and he wished he was out there enjoying the city streets. Maybe tomorrow night.

Wait.

Why wait?

“Pim?” Charlie asks as Pim exited the bathroom, gently towelling his head.

“Yes Charlie?”

“I’m calling on my day tomorrow now. Get dressed.” Charlie said as he got up out of his bed, pulling on his hoodie and pants over his pyjamas.

“What?”

“LET’S GO OUT NOW!” Charlie shouted excitedly, an actual smile on his face as he looked at Pim. “C’mon dude it’s LAS VEGAS. We’re only here for a few days, let's go go go!”

“Oh! Um!! Okay!”

And not half an hour later they’re on the strip. Pim’s feet rapidly ran to keep up with Charlie who was walking with powerful strides. He had a huge smile on his face, eyes upwards at all the gloriously glowing lights.

“Man this place is way better than Fallout New Vegas.” Charlie announced.

“Um. What?”

“Only one of the greatest video games ever made dude I should get you to play it some day.” Charlie said. “Though knowing you, ya might go with the NCR.”

“What...?”

“Don’t worry about it dude c’mon let’s go get TRASHED.”

Trashed indeed. Pim squeaked as Charlie grabbed his wrist and hauled him into the nearest bar they saw with an open sign. He is helped to a barstool and that’s the last thing he truly remembers happening.

However, while he and Charlie wound up insanely drunk on their first night in Vegas, we are privy to what transpired.

Several hours in, Pim and Charlie are officially drunk.

“I just... don’t...” Pim stammered as his brain spun within his skull, soaked in thick alcohol. “I don’t know if... if I ... I'm never going to find love?”

Charlie, several drinks deeper, snorted. “Bruh, bro. Pim. Love? Love is... it’s. Not important, man no. Really? Like, like. I’ve had so many girlfriends a-and boyfriends. Right?”

“Right.”

“And they-they SAY they love me but. But I know it’s.... It’s because they... they just want my body. They lust. They d-don’t love.”

Pim squints. “Nobody lusts for me.” he lamented.

“Lust and love are n-not the same. Nobody loves. N-not really.”

“Charlie I love you.”

Charlie laughed a little and reached down, wrapping an arm around Pim’s shoulders. “Forever?”

“Y-yes.”

“Do you lust me?”

“A lot.”

Charlie giggled and booped his nose against Pim’s cheek.

“You know I’ve like. Not known anyone as long as I’ve known you.” he admits. “Seven years. E-eight years next year.”

Pim smiles. “My best friend.”

“But you’re lonely? N-not loved?” Charlie asks.

“No.”

“Wrong.”

“Wrong?”

“I love you.”

Pim blinks a little.

“Huh?”

“I love you.”

“You’ve... n-never...”

“Shouldn’t have to.” Charlie said with a shrug. “So, see? Y-you’re... very wrong.”

Pim smiled a little. He grabbed another glass of booze and drank it swiftly.

“So... you and me?” Pim asked after skulling it. “You lo-love me?”

“For ages.”

Charlie smiled before reaching down and wrapped an arm around his shoulders, and squeezed.

Pim faintly remembers a girl with red hair. But the booze blurred his memory.

It drowned her in the drink.

For Charlie, she was lost at sea.

“Y-you know what we sh-should do?” Charlie asked.

“What?”

“We’re in Vegas you know wh-what people do in Vegas y-yeah?”

“Gamble.” Pim guessed.

“Marry!” Charlie sat up, sliding his large rear off of the stool. “We sh-should go get married!!”

“Married??”

“Yeah!!”

Pim laughs, before reaching up and touching Charlie’s fat face. He plays with it like play dough. He watches the stubble on that upper lip and chin ripple with his fat.

“Marry.”

“Marry.”

Half an hour later, in the early mornings of two days before New Years, Charlie and Pim were wed by an Elvis impersonator.

Signatures were written.

Photographs were taken.

No rings needed or provided.

What was, was a decorative chip. It looked like a regular gambling chip only it had been coloured pink and yellow.

Their names engraved on one side.

On the other, their marriage date.

It vanished into Charlie’s pockets.

Charlie doesn’t remember getting an Uber back to the hotel room with his husband. Pim doesn’t remember being carried over the threshold upside down by his husband.

They kiss hungrily. Their hands grasp at fat hidden under alcohol stained clothes.

They get drunk with the kisses.

“Touch me.” Pim whispers breathlessly. “I’m so w-wet it hurts.”

Feeling Charlie’s large hand palm him right between his legs leaves him gasping and grinding.

Charlie pushes him down against the bed on Pim’s side of the hotel room and kneels. He drags Pim against him, grinding his erection against Pim’s rear.

“Mmm...” Charlie burbles as he palms drunkenly against Pim’s waist. “I’m... s-so drunk.” he admitted.

“So am I.” Pim giggles.

“Can I just. La-lay down before I throw up?”

Charlie is pulled down before he can surrender the strength in his body and sighs as he lies beside his husband.

He throws a hand over Pim’s chest and pulls him in, pressing harsh kisses against his cheeks.

Which quickly turn into deep, hungry kisses once more. Like they never stopped.

Pim moans, grasping at Charlie as his tongue invades his and he tastes him as his tongue grinds against his teeth.

“C-can I,” Charlie hiccuped as he pushed his hands down against Pim’s shorts.

“Mm. Yes. YES.”

Shorts discarded, not just Pim’s but Charlie’s as well, results in some slippery, uncoordinated grinding.

Charlie’s dick, small as it was, was hard and rubbing itself against Pim’s pubic mound. He grasped at Pim’s legs, lifting them, pressing them against his hips as he grounded against him.

“F-fuck, fuck... I’m so fuckin hard,” Charlie groaned.

“Ch-Charlie, oh god...” Pim whimpered. He grabbed at his wrists.

“Y-you want, you want it? You...” the yellow critter hiccuped, slipping, grabbing at Pim’s chest through his shirt.

Pim gasped, moving a hand to grip against his husband’s belly. “Y-yeah yes please I want it I want it...”

All it took was a little more readjusting and a second later, Charlie was pushing the tip of his cock into Pim’s pussy.

The room was filled with drunken moans and gasping from the both of them.

“Fffuuuuuuuuck you’re w-wet...” Charlie shuddered.

“Mmm!” Pim arched his back, digging his hands down against the bed. “C-Charlie oh, oh... OH...”

Charlie presses in from atop of him and captures his mouth in a deep, wet kiss that tasted of alcohol and shameless want. Pim grabs at Charlie’s shoulder to hang on as he’s being slammed into so hard it’s pushing him up the bed.

Until his head collides with the headboard. He hisses and gasps as his nerve brushes the wood and he reaches up, grabbing at his head.

“AH!”

“FUCK!” Charlie’s startled by the shout and stops, reaches, grabbing at Pim’s head. “F-fuck I’m sorry I didn’t-”

“Don’t stop, don't stop, don't stop,” Pim begged through tears in his eyes. “Charlie PLEASE...!”

Charlie was surprised, but at the urging he did. He digs his knees down against the bed and gets back into the weak rhythm he’d been going at.

He’s panting and sweating from the strain, even though it’s hardly something out of the pornos he watched. It’s not like he’s holding Pim at odd, erotic angles.

Pim was just beneath him, squeezing his dick hungrily. He’s just so wet and needy, how his body rocks back to meet his own.

His sweat drips down his back, some of it matching against Pim’s own. The room was hot. Stuffy. They should have opened a window.

Now it’s gonna reek of sex.

“Ah, ah, ah, AH, AH...!” Pim gasped as he felt Charlie slam into him over and over again. “C-Charlie, Charlie...!”

If he were not so drunk, if his brain wasn’t so cloudy, Charlie would have asked where Pim wanted him to finish.

Considering the fact he was not sober, he finishes where he started.

Pim cries out as the unfamiliar sensation of being ejaculated into makes itself known to him. He cries out, shuddering all over from his nerve down to his toes.

Charlie heaves hotly, panting and straining as he finishes deep as his small dick can reach in Pim’s body.

It’s so good. It feels so good.

Too bad his head is splitting open.

He collapses onto Pim, earning him a muffled squeak from beneath him. Pim pushes up against him, managing to heave Charlie off, and out of him.

“O-oh no,” Pim says as he sits up slowly. “Y-you’re gonna... youuu...” he grabs Charlie’s wrist. “You’re gonna g-get ME to finish...”

“Huh?”

He didn’t expect Pim to climb on top of his face, or to force him to open his mouth as he positioned his pussy right over his lips.

“Lick me.” Pim instructed. “Lick me t-till I finish.”

“Okay.” Charlie squeaked and he did just that. Pim, grinding against his lips on the bed, yellow hands grabbing at Pim’s fat hips and a tongue darting up to lick hungrily as if Pim were an ice cream cone.

He’d never given head like this before.

But oh, it was good. New. Exciting.

Pim, meanwhile, was giving out a string of sounds Charlie had never heard before. Pink hands grip against his nose as he ruts down against his tongue and lips, whimpering and moaning.

Charlie’s tongue just kept flicking against his clit every now and then. He couldn’t tell when it was going to touch him there so it was hard to brace.

Charlie licked, that thick tongue dipping up into him over and over again to the point that the growing pressure in his belly got harder to contain.

Until finally Pim finished.

And Charlie suddenly had more running down his throat than he did before. He swallowed and gulped and gagged as Pim slid from his lips to slam into the mattress beside him, both legs now over his face and neck.

Pim was touching himself, riding out the afters of his orgasm and panting loudly as he did. He felt so sensitive, knowing the wet down there wasn’t just his own but Charlie’s spit.

Charlie groans as Pim finally shifts his legs off of his face, and licks his tongue around his lips. Just a little more of Pim’s taste on his skin.

Pim giggles sleepily, happily, before taking hold of Charlie’s hand to press it against his cheek. “I c-can’t believe we di-did this...”

“Mmmhmhmhm.” Charlie burbles into his hand. “Husband.”

“Husband.” Pim giggles.

Five minutes later both of them were fast asleep beside each other in a bed far too small for two critters.

Since neither of them had the foresight to close the curtains, when the sun rose the bright light poured into their room and the brightness of the sun drew Pim to the waking world.

His head felt like a cracked egg.

Tears streamed down his face.

Seconds later he’d made a mad dash to the bathroom and vomited from the dizziness that made his head spin.

After throwing up a few mouthfuls he rinses out his mouth and staggers back to bed. Finding his briefs, Pim slowly pulls them back on and seeing that Charlie had now taken the bed entirely for himself he climbed onto the spare single bed.

Finding the bed comfortable he falls right back to sleep.

At ten, there was a knock on the door.

Getting no answers, the cleaning staff opened the door and stopped dead when she saw the two critters still asleep. They hadn’t hung a ‘do not disturb’ sign, after all.

They backed up and shut the door behind them.

The clock keeps ticking.

Charlie does not rise until near two thirty. Slowly he sits up and finds his phone is dead. So he plugs it in to charge before lumbering his way into the bathroom.

He didn’t even seem to acknowledge his boxers and shorts were off.

A shit, a shower, a shave. That’s all he cared about.

Once all three are done he returns to the room, dresses in some cleaner clothes, and climbs back into the bed. He rolls onto his side and sees Pim laying on the other bed, on his back.

He barely remembers last night.

They went out to drink. And drink. And drink.

Has something else happened? He doesn’t remember.

Pim’s eyes flutter open and his head rolls, the two now fully looking at one another.

“Hi.” Pim smiled.

“Hey.” Charlie replies lazily.

“I think last night was fun.”

“Think so too.”

“Are we just... laying in bed all day?” Pim asked.

“Is that a crime? You wanna go out dude?” Charlie replied.

“...not really. I’m still a bit... icky.”

“So stay in bed.”

The yellow critter rolled over and shuffled a little, feeling something jabbing into his side. He still wore his hoodie from the night before.

He digs his hand into the pocket and feels something.

“Dude did we go gambling?”

“I know we drank, Charlie. I don’t remember anything after that.”

He pulls the chip out of his pocket and stares at it.

“Why’s it got a date on it?” he asks as he turns it over in his hand and freezes as he sees his and Pim’s name.

“What does?”

Silence.

“Charlie?”

More silence.

“Charlie, what’s wrong?”

“Take this.”

Charlie is up, shoving the chip into Pim’s hand as he moves to open the balcony doors and stands on it, gripping the railing as he looks over the bustling city.

Pim looks down at the chip and turns it over. And over. And over.

All colour in his face vanishes.

“What the Hell?” Pim asks. “Charlie what--Charlie get back in here.”

“No.”

“Charlie.”

“No.”

“As your apparent HUSBAND I’m telling you to come back inside.”

“Oh come off it dude we are not--”

“We’re married.” Pim insisted as he got out of his bed.

“Marriage in Vegas doesn't count.” Charlie sniffed.

“CHARLIE.”

Flinching, the yellow critter hurries back inside.

“What are we going to do about this?” Pim asks.

“Pretend it didn’t happen?” Charlie asks.

“We can’t do that.”

“So what do I tell my girlfriend? Y’know? Zoey?” Charlie asks as he sinks into the bed, head in his hands.

“Well. I. I guess she’s now the other woman.” Pim replied.

“What?”

“I’m your husband now.” Pim says, “Legally, in the eyes of the law, you’re married to me and Zoey is now your... your piece on the side.”

“Dude what the Fuck?” Charlie repeats.

“I mean of course not.” the pink critter replies breathlessly, trying to hold in a mouthful of sick. “I-I’m joking.”

“No you’re not. You’re jealous.”

“I am not.”

“You are too! Dude, Pim! I’ve seen that look I seen it in that fucking forest you-”

“Do NOT mention the forest around me ever again.” Pim snaps in a tone only a husband could snap and Charlie felt himself flinch.

“Okay, dude. Calm down. It. Look we. You know this isn’t gonna like. Last, right? Whatever brought us to do this, I don’t know but. Look I...”

“You love me.” Pim said, suddenly.

“What?”

“You love me. I... that. That’s the only thing I remember. You telling me. How honest you were.”

“I wouldn’t say that.” Charlie snaps quickly.

“You did.”

“I didn’t.” he sweats.

“Charlie,” Pim holds the chip up to his face. “You married ME.”

“Well you married ME.” Charlie shoots back, snatching the chip from Pim’s hand. “But we CAN’T because I’m-I’m...! Zoey! She’s back home, what am I gonna DO?”

He hurls the chip but if he meant for it to be thrown from the balcony it didn’t. His aim is off. It bounces off the wall, slaps him in one eye before bouncing away. Swearing and groaning Charlie holds his face as Pim retrieves the chip.

He holds it in his hands as if it were anchoring him to the reality he now found himself in. There must be paperwork. Surely there was. It’s somewhere here. Pocketing the chip Pim moves around the hotel room and finds them, easily, scattered on the floor.

Lucky 8 Wedding Chapel. Charles Dompler. Willem Pimling. Dompler-Pimling now.

Hands trembling, he returns to Charlie’s side and holds out the paperwork. “Look, Charlie.”

He looks and he stares in disdain at the paperwork. Looking up at Pim he shakes his head. “Dude. I can’t do this to Zoey.”

“Why do you care about her so much?” Pim asks, frowning. “You were dating her for months and you never told a single person until you brought her to the Halloween party that you didn’t even dress up for!”

“Dude you know my stance on costumes.” Charlie frowned.

“But for your girlfriend? Who you love? Every time you brought her around you two looked like you were on the verge of an argument!”

“W-we’re not it’s. Look I don’t gotta explain my relationship to you!” the yellow critter snapped as he stood up, looking down at Pim.

“You’re married to me now so you HAVE to!” Pim snaps back.

“Oh for fuck sake Pim!” Charlie pulled away, returning to the balcony for air. He gripped the railing, breathing in deeply. “We... we’ll get it nullified.”

“Charlie, it's a few days until New Year's. Nothing is open like that.”

“Why do you so badly wanna be married to me huh?” he turned his head, looking back into the room at Pim. “Huh?”

Pim frowns, gripping the paperwork. “Because you’re my best friend. Because I love you. Because I’ve been so afraid of being alone for the rest of my life no matter what I do, or how hard I try, nobody ever picks me first. You’ve never picked me first. Never, not once have you called me, to go out. You and Allan keep me out of group chats. You’re always picking someone else and never me and for once, for once I was picked and you want to take it away from me. I don’t...”

He trails off and lowers his head, eyes wet.

“I just want to feel wanted.”

“That’s not...” Charlie started, stopped, and sighed. “That’s not my job to do that man. Look...” he takes a deep steadying breath before walking back inside. “Okay. I get it. I’m a shit friend. So wouldn’t that make me a shittier husband?”

Pim shook his head, tears now freely falling and god, Charlie hates seeing him cry. Not just because it was emasculating to see a dude cry, but because it made his heart hurt. He moves towards his husband and places his hands on his shoulders and squeezes.

“You are wanted, dude. You’re my friend. I like your company so much. I…” he hesitated a moment. “I do love you.”

Those wet eyes gaze up at him in silence, broken only by a sniffle or two.

“I do.” Charlie hears an unasked question and answers it regardless. “Otherwise I probably wouldn’t have married you while drunk as fuck.”

Pim smiled slowly, before reaching a hand up and touching one of Charlie’s wrists. He feels him squeeze his wrist and he groans internally.

“…but I gotta tell Zoey. This…” he looks between them. “This is gonna be undone. We can’t stay married. But we can stay friends and I’ll try to be a better one.”

“Do you promise?”

“Yes.”

The two stood there in silence before Pim slowly wrapped his arms around Charlie’s middle and hid his face against his chest. Silently, he sobbed.

Charlie let him. Honestly he felt like crying too. This was such a fucked up thing to happen to them. And they’d been not only kidnapped by aliens, killed Mother Nature, but also travelling to Hell and back again.

He holds Pim against him with one arm as the other rubs at his own tired face.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Isn’t that how the saying goes?

He had no idea.
