What is a comfort blanket?
Depending on who you ask, it can mean many different things.
Sometimes it’s literal—a physical blanket or a stuffed animal—but it can also be something less tangible, like a favorite show you return to when you need to feel at ease. It’s mostly metaphorical, and when Bob reads the definition, his mind immediately goes to Yelena.
Can a person be someone else’s comfort blanket?Because if that’s so, Bob would proudly say that Yelena was his. There’s no place in this entire world than having her in his arms. Nowhere else would make him feel as at home as he did with her.
Yet…he’s not Yelena’s comfort blanket, was he?
Or: Yelena mentioned that she has a comfort blanket, and Bob couldn’t stop thinking about it (not that he’s jealous, that’s ridiculous).
