the year is 178 AG. the avatar is dead.
avatar korra's death is a fatal blow to a desecrating world. she was in her prime, leaving no preparation in case of her early demise. the earth kingdom begins to see an increase of pillaging, devastating the rural parts of the nation. being left to defend themselves due to the wealthy becoming ignorant, the people of the earth kingdom have turned to survivalism. a superiority of benders. spreading propaganda and fear, their goal? a world without nonbenders.
fifteen years pass, and the next avatar is yet to be found. in the midst, the beifong family is set for a change in its leadership. du'ego beifong, in line for the throne, daughter of an infamous dictator who reigned years ago, has everything to lose. including the fact that her younger sister, cao'an, was born with the avatar spirit. but when she's granted a shocking change of leadership that changes her life, & a mysterious sponsorship leads her down a bloody path, cao'an is forced to step up into korra's shadow and cease the looming war. the only question is...who will you trust? -

Or is there a perfectly logical, sane, and fathomable explanation to all this?
