For some reason, I’ve had Hey Arnold stuck in my head lately. I’m not sure why, but it has been. This story makes Valentine’s Day feel much more realistic than the over-the-top adult rom-com disaster the show sometimes leaned into, cramming far too much into a half hour. I’ve taken a more grounded approach that doesn’t veer into rom-com territory, but instead stays true to the characters and feels more fitting for them.

After a devastating loss in Rome, it seems as if there's no end to the list of challenges faced by the crew of the Argo II. Hecate sent them on a wild goose chase across the Italy while expecting Hazel to learn magic from a mustelid. Annabeth is failing to find a use for the statue she risked life and limb to retrieve.
