Tommy wakes up to a dull aching in his back. It's a normal occurrence for him, sleeping on cold concrete floors will do that to you. There's a small sliver of light pouring through the bars, casting a glow across the small cell. Just like every morning, Tommy goes to the bars, reaching out at the blue sky as if he could touch it. He, of course is grateful for what Dream gave him, but sometimes he wants nothing more than to see the bright blue without cold bars blocking his way. Tommy sits watching the clouds roll by as the day goes on.

“It’s raining, Tech,” Tommy says again because he doesn’t get it and Tommy can’t understand what there is to get. “I like the rain.” Techno listens and Tommy stumbles closer, letting his brother catch him by his forearms. “I forgot I could feel like this,” he says, half laughing and half crying. “I forgot I liked the rain. I forgot I liked the rain, Technoblade. How could I forget this?”
Crimson eyes flick over Tommy’s face, searching for something, and Tommy can’t tell if he found it or didn’t with the way his grip just ever so slightly tightens. He tugs gently, frowning again, and glancing around the ruins-turned-garden he found Tommy in. “Alright, you’re gonna make yourself sick, come on, I’ll get you wherever you were going.”

Tommy sobbed, body shaking from gut-wrenching cries.
"Please just hit me, Wil, please," He begged, arms tightening around himself.
Wilbur's heart ached when his mind finally recognised what Tommy was asking him to do.
The kid just wanted to be touched, and he didn’t know how to ask for it.
"C'mere, Tommy." Wilbur murmured, opening his arms for a hug. Tommy crashed into his chest, his arms gently wrapping around the delicate figure - much too delicate and light. He thinks he could crush the boy if he squeezed a little too tight.
"Wil-" Tommy wailed, small fists clenching his shirt. He just wanted to cuddle the poor boy at the nickname especially. "please."
"You're okay, honey." Wilbur promised, rocking them back and forth softly. "I'm not gonna hurt you."
"Promise?" Tommy asked, softly.
"Promise."
Tommy sobbed, louder, wails muffled with how his nose buried deeper into Wilbur's chest, figure small as it shivered pressed against his stomach. Wilbur hummed, ducking his head into his blonde curls, breathing into them softly.
Tommy's touch-starved so he picks fights to feel touch. Wil's not having it.
