Summary
"Freeze! Police!"
Dropping the injured man to the pavement, three of the gang raised their hands in surrender, but a fourth ran toward the far end of the alley. Buck pursued the fleeing teen.
Chris' focus on the three remaining juveniles kept him from seeing a fifth, who bashed him from behind with a hefty board. The three that he'd been holding at gunpoint ran, but the blow had stunned him and he was powerless to stop their escape, as his attacker continued the assault. Pointed toes, probably boots, robbed air from his heaving lungs.
The sound of a weapon being fired sent a chill through him, until he realized the feet were no longer attacking, but running away.
"Buck," Chris gasped.
But it wasn't his partner's shadow shielding him from the late afternoon sun. Chris blinked at a ratty pair of sneakers. Allowing his vision to drift upwards, he took in faded and threadbare jeans. He rolled to his side and pushed himself up, continuing his scrutiny. He catalogued a plain white T-shirt, beat up leather jacket, long brown hair and blue eyes.
'Sneakers, not boots.' This wasn't his attacker. Where the hell had he come from?

Summary
The kid was going to die at this rate, whether or not Jason had anything to do with it. Apparently dead Robins were just a thing, now, and Bruce didn’t give a shit whether they lived or died.
There was something almost comforting about that, that Jason’s wasn’t the only life that didn’t matter.
There was something fucking infuriating about that, that Jason’s wasn’t the only life that didn’t matter.
Well. If those fucks didn’t care about their baby bird now, Jason would just have to make them care. And he had a few ideas on just how to do that.
Robin might get a little broken in the process, but what was a little kidnapping and torture between friends?
***
a.k.a. the Titans Tower AU where Jason kidnaps Tim instead of trying to kill him. And then he kidnaps Steph. And Dick. And Cass. And...
Jason may have a problem.
Less crack-y than it sounds. This is mainly hurt, angst, and reckoning with canon trauma. Comfort will come! There *will* be a happy ending.

Summary
Jason Todd returns to Gotham with a detailed plan for Batman, the Joker, and the new Robin he’s seen pictures of in the papers. There’s just one tiny problem with his plan: Batman is missing. Also the Joker is missing. And nobody has seen Robin in a while.
In unrelated news, there are two(?) teen vigilantes patrolling the streets of Gotham. Someone should probably do something about that.
--
Jason was going to find answers, and when he did, he was going to beat the shit out of someone. Who it was going to be depended on what the fuck, exactly, was going on.

"So many people in Gotham are what they seem. You know a cat burglar who dresses like an actual cat. So if Gotham seems awful… maybe Gotham is just more honest about what it is than other cities. I’ve seen awful things in just about every country and more than a few territories and I can promise you that Gotham isn’t unique in that regard. Gotham isn’t terrible. Some people are, and some of those people live in Gotham. But some good people do too."

Summary
Yagi Toshinori watched the green haired boy walk away after saving his friend and shook his head. While the boy's actions were heroic, he was just too reckless. He walked in the opposite direction, thinking about a time he could meet the candidate Sir Nighteye put forward.
Izuku Midoriya goes home and decides that, even if he can't be hero himself, he can still help them with his analysis. Cue Izuku catching the attention of multiple heroes who are a little more open-minded and willing to see the potential in a quirkless kid.
This fic has a discord.

Why couldn’t All Might have gone around talked with groups of quirkless kids and picked his successor that way? He could have seen which ones had heroic potential, which ones would be grateful for the opportunity he was giving them, and which would make good use of his amazing quirk. He even had his skinny form so no one would know that All Might was even looking for a successor! -

Summary
Hal had joked that Jason would be a great Green Lantern once. They had both laughed, but Jason knew that it was Hal’s way of showing that he noticed Jason’s effort. Bruce would never have done something like that. It was nice to be appreciated like that.
Bruce wouldn’t do a lot of what Hal did.
or: it started as a petty way of pissing bruce off, but somewhere along the way jason gains another parent
alternate title: hal jordan speedruns adoption by stealing batman's kid
