Summary
Leonie is not, and has never been in love with Sara.
That is a big fat lie. Not that Leonie would let herself entertain such dangerous thoughts.
She does not know what to do, if she were being honest. What she knows, or thinks she knows, though, is that someone who looked and smelled oddly like Sara appeared by her side and kissed the side of her head when the clock struck midnight, with everyone at the party cheering for the new year.
Then theatre club throws another spanner in the works.

He just observed the soft-spoken boy at the backmost row at Laura’s show in Berlin, who was a sea of calm as he directed various backstage sound technicians and mixers through his headset, all the while manning a rig himself, making sure the audio side of things of the gig worked without a hitch.
The boy with a mop of messy blond hair with a headphone pressed over it and piercing blue stormy-sea eyes so focused on his surroundings and signaling for the technicians to react to whatever is happening on stage.
The blond hair and the blue eyes that he wants to lose himself in. He shakes his head and tries to get that face out of his head.
He collects himself quickly though, coughs, and say “Thank you, Matteo. Have a nice day”

It was a promise David made to Matteo, while comforting him when they were returning to Berlin from Heidelberg. David really meant it when he said it. He thought it would be a fun little trip down south, but then it sort of become a full blown roadtrip as they plan it out.
