My old concept for a story that takes place before Darkstalker featuring my OCs Moonstone the NightWing/SkyWing hybrid and Malachite the RainWing animus.
Moonstone always wanted to learn more about animus magic on the continent of Pyrrhia, but has never gotten the chance due to the lack of information present in the NightWing libraries. Following her eighth hatching day, she is given a task to create an updated map of the Rainforest Kingdom where she meets a seemingly normal RainWing named Malachite who is later revealed to be an animus who had been hiding her power from her tribe out of fear of exile. After a fire mysteriously breaks out in the Rainforest, the RainWing's powers are revealed, causing them both to be cast out. Now on the run from assassins, Moonstone and Malachite must learn to harness the newfound animus magic to prevent a coming threat to the future -- one of which was unveiled in Moonstone's eclipse prophecy.
This is just a first draft of this unofficial prequel arc and remains unfinished.
